Flat dekhne ke time sab perfect lagta hai… rehne ke 10 din baad asli reality pata chalti hai.😅

Renters, aapke according flat final karne se pehle sabse important cheez kya check karni chahiye?
🏠 Owner / landlord ka behaviour
💧 Water pressure & availability
⚡ Electricity backup / bill
🦟 Cockroach, insects, mould etc.
🔊 Neighbours & noise
🚗 Parking
📶 Internet/network
🔐 Security
🧹 Maintenance response
💰 Hidden charges
Mere hisaab se photos aur rent se zyada important hai “6 months baad yahan rehna kaisa lagega?”
Aapne rental flat mein sabse unexpected problem kya face ki hai? 👇

What makes you reject a rental property immediately?

Forget the rent for a second.
For me, some of the biggest red flags would be:
• Hidden charges
• Owner constantly interfering
• Bad water pressure
• No proper parking
• Poor maintenance
• Security issues
• Photos that look nothing like the actual place
• “Family only / No friends / No guests” type restrictions
Sometimes a slightly more expensive place with a hassle-free owner is actually cheaper mentally.
What’s the #1 red flag that makes you walk away from a rental?

The hardest part of renting isn’t finding a house.

It’s finding one where you don’t feel like you’re being played.
You see a listing:
“₹25,000/month
Fully furnished
No maintenance
Prime location”
Sounds perfect.
Then you visit.
₹25k rent ✅
₹3k maintenance ❌
₹2k parking ❌
Brokerage ❌
“Electricity separate” ❌
And suddenly that ₹25k house is costing you ₹32–33k.
And somehow, nobody mentioned these things before you visited.
The worst part?
You’ve already spent half your day looking at properties, so you start thinking:
“Chalo, adjust hi kar lete hain.”
I think that’s where most renters get stuck.
Not because they don’t know how to find a house.
But because the actual cost of renting is rarely clear upfront.
What’s the one rental expense you found out about only after you were ready to move in?

The most expensive part of renting isn’t always the rent.

Sometimes it’s the uncertainty.
You pay the deposit.
Then you spend money on moving.
Then you discover:
Water pressure is terrible.
The “fast Wi-Fi” barely works.
Maintenance takes 3 days to respond.
The room looked bigger in the photos.
And suddenly there are 17 “small rules” nobody mentioned before moving in.
The frustrating part?
Most of these things are discoverable before signing the agreement — but nobody tells you to check them.
What’s one thing you wish you had checked BEFORE renting your current place?
