Has anyone tried Ten Ramen? I didnt even know it existed until I was driving by earlier. Can't seem to find any info online
Hi,
we’re four guys, and we’ve put together Westminster’s restaurant scene in an app called Vota. The concept is simple: you see two places side by side (for example Famille vs. Kachina Southwestern Grill), you choose the place you’d rather go to, and the ranking updates instantly. The more people vote, the more accurate the list gets over time. There are still a few duplicates here and there, but I’m continuously cleaning up the data.
Here’s the iPhone version, with categories that actually fit Westminster’s food scene:
https://apps.apple.com/app/vota-restaurant-ratings/id6744969212
And here’s the Android version (finally live):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.vota.app
P.S. I’m not from Westminster (I live in Gothenburg). I’m not collecting data, not selling anything, and the app does not use AI-generated content. I’m posting in a few different subreddits because we now support more regions, and I genuinely want honest feedback from people who actually know the area.
Just curious about how safe Hagerstown is for people of color… specifically for Arab/Muslims. I know it’s not the most diverse town and I don’t mind that at all but despite that how are poc treated by the general population here..?

I grew up in Greenberry Hills in the ‘80s (we moved to Greencastle in ‘91), and whenever I’m back in town I like to drive through the old neighborhood.
I drove through earlier this week and was a bit sad to see it’s looking more disheveled than I recall it ever being. To be sure, a number of homes are still in solid shape with well-kept properties, but there were far more with overgrown lawns and homes in noticeable disrepair and/or vehicles in disrepair than when I drove through two summers ago.
Does anyone know of any specific causes of the decline, or is it just a matter of an old, modest neighborhood getting older?
Hello! I'm trying to design a light rail systems for cities and towns in Maryland. Does anybody have ideas on what a potential light rail system could look like? Where would you like stations to be? Businesses, residential neighborhoods, parks, restaurants, streets, schools, etc. This would help be quite a bit!
My friend read somwhere that theres fireworks today instead of TMR
Hagerstown Just Lookin’ Gallery has been championing African American art since 1990. With 2,500 square feet of powerful original works, it nurtures collectors at every stage from first-time buyers to seasoned connoisseurs. They offer exhibitions, personal guidance, and a welcoming space where anyone can discover art with meaning.
As the public comment period on the proposed Washington County ICE detention center comes to a close, we are proud to stand alongside the elected officials and organizations that have joined the call for transparency and accountability.
We stand with Maryland State Delegate Matt Schindler, Hagerstown City Council Members Caroline Anderson, Erika Bell, and Tiara Burnett, the Washington County Branch of the NAACP, the ACLU of Maryland, and every organization and community member demanding answers.
DHS claims that converting an 825,000 square foot warehouse into a massive ICE detention center capable of producing nearly 200,000 gallons of wastewater per day will have no significant environmental impact. Yet the agency has refused to release the wastewater studies, environmental assessments, infrastructure analyses, and other reports it relied upon to reach that conclusion.
The public cannot meaningfully comment on information it has not been allowed to see.
DHS should immediately release every study and assessment used in its determination and extend the public comment period so residents, elected officials, and community organizations can review the same information available to the federal government before submitting comments that could shape the future of Washington County and the surrounding region.

Has any one got a bill for a ac tune up from Larry and sons in Hager town ?
Anyone know who in the area offers adult ADHD testing. I know Meritus and Aspen Behavioral Health do not.
What is the steel structure coming up near the outlets supposed to be?
Protecting waterways involves more than celebrating cleanup efforts after problems appear. It also means asking difficult questions before new environmental pressures are introduced into an already stressed watershed.
The issue extends beyond the ICE warehouse detention center itself. The Conococheague eventually empties into the Potomac River, meaning any environmental consequences associated with wastewater, nutrient loading, or infrastructure failures would not stop at the Washington County line. Communities throughout Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia share an interest in ensuring that major federal projects receive the level of environmental scrutiny required by law.
If DHS believes the project’s wastewater generation will not significantly affect local waterways, it should release the analysis supporting that conclusion. If the agency believes existing infrastructure has sufficient capacity and resilience to absorb those demands, it should release the studies supporting that conclusion as well.
The public comment period closes on July 1. Before DHS asks communities throughout the Potomac watershed to accept assurances about environmental impacts, the agency should make public the information it relied upon to reach those assurances in the first place. And Hagerstown Rapid Response and Washington County Indivisible encourage you to tell DHS exactly that.
Here’s one very specific thing you can ask for in your public comment:
Request that DHS publicly release the reports and assessments it claims to have relied upon when concluding that it is “not aware of any potential for significant environmental impacts” from this project.
My husband and I are trans and bisexual refugees from Alabama. We are trying to set roots and grow here. We’re looking into forming friendships (we really like video games and movies) after finding a home! Thought I’d post this and see if any chill folks wanna get to know us!
