Gardena Valley CA

Anyone else reckon this story has a bit of mayo on it? Having once accidentally driven through Compton, there’s no way I’d ever do that again. Let alone get out of the car as an Aussie with no street cred. I reckon even if Andy did head over there, there’s is zero chance he’d have stopped.

Great story, but fictional for sure.

Warning: semi serious post

Hamish and Andys Instagram follows about 124 people and one of them is Karl Stefonovic.

With all the news coming out about the swans players the last 24 hours, the Scot’s college students allege rape of a teenage girl and the increasing concern over red pill and alt right influencers, influencing especially young boys and young men how do people feel about Hamish and Andy essentially in my mind endorsing this type of views and content by following Karl.

Hamish with a young son should know better.

Ive messaged them and tried jack as well but no reply. If this makes other uncomfortable like its made me uncomfortable can you send them a message.

For me this is the absolute ultimate lost touch move.

Is Hames Hive about to be an amazing investment…..

Austrian bees under threat? Is NZ honey about to boom…… we turn to only one place for my honey updates, Hames Hives.

How did you discover Hamish & Andy?

For me, it was through the Gap Year USA DVD, which my parents bought shortly after it came out in 2011. I was 6 that year, and I remember my parents watching it a few times. Some of the recurring segments, like "Ultimate Wingman" and "100 Second New York Lessond" have become inside jokes within my family for a long time.

My parents then proceeded to buy the Caravan of Courage DVD, which didn't stick but the "new" Hamish & Andy travel DVD became an essential purchase every year. I also caught glimpses of their radio show when my parents drove me home from school, but I mainly remember their constant giggling and the jingle for the "Upset Andy" call-in segment.

In 2018, one of my support workers played a few episodes of the podcast (which was a big deal that year) for me. IIRC, they were episode 29 ("Flag Man" special skill, "Whole Lotta Chicken" ads) and episode 6 (when they settled on the title for "Two Foot Tony"), which captured my interest.

I didn't start following the podcast until late 2020, following a dark period in my life. In the following months, I rewatched all the H&A content on Stan (a local streaming service), listened to the pair of radio highlight CDs from back in the day, and catched up with the Remembering Project. From this point onward, the podcast(s) became a weekly ritual, and when True Story and Perfect Holiday were finally added to Stan in 2022, I watched them in a heartbeat.

However, I stopped listening to the podcast in mid-2025, during what many fans considered to be a low-point for the duo, and haven't returned since.

Should episode 343 be labelled explicit

This was a bit of a suprise / funny.

As I was watching voice to text through Spotify on episode 343 - Slow Down the Matcha, the words 'Fuck You' popped up at the 14:05 mark.

The words weren't spoken, but does this make it another explicit episode?

Hame's Hives | Bee Mail 02

Ahoy, Hame’s Hives followers! 🐝

A new Bee Mail has been sent out, and in case you haven’t seen it, we’ve got it here for you! 👇🏼

___

The Buzz V.2 | Bee Mail (02)

OK, well it’s been a bloody huge few months for Hames Hives, and as King Bee it gives me a huge amount of pride to report to you this project you have spent your hard earned click on a month or two ago hasn’t petered out, but fully petered in. We take the expenditure of the finger energy you spent clicking to sign up to this seriously, and I hope this company continues to reward that click. Crazy scenes in bee farming right now and so much to bring you up to speed on. For those that may have heard this weeks episode of the Hamish and Andy Podcast(which now moves to my second most important job, behind Hame’s Hives) you’ll have heard a bit of this but honestly I don’t care for the tone with which the other guys on the show treat this operation so I’ve saved the juiciest updates for The Hive here.

INTERNATIONAL PLANNING
First things first, why the delay between updates? Well partly this was due to me. Being the absolute addict to perfection that I am, I took off on a self funded fact finding trip to Italy (although kept receipts) to just triple check that the South Island of NZ is the best place for our alpine honey. Haters (the ATO) will probably claim this was a family holiday to the Dolomites but as you can see from the photo evidence this was almost exclusively to inspect the international Honey Game.

ITALY TRIP RESULT
Despite a a rigorous itinerary the Italian Exploratory yielded no sites but in positive news just further confirmed our suspicion that the South Island of NZ is right up there with one of the most pristine environments on earth to run a few million “head of bee”. Yes, you read that correctly, as each hive has roughly 30,000 to 60,000 bees, and we are going to have 100+ hives…we’re going to be bee farming well over a milly bees. Not quite beelionaires, but maybe one day….

BIGGEST BUZZ:
Well there’s actually 2 bits of Big News generating buzz at HH’s right now. Firstly as I mentioned on the pod, we have paid the deposits for the first 100 hives to begin construction. These will be used both for the main honey, and Hames Highest Hives where we will place them at altitude to house our Strong Bees that will produce our Power Honey. I get asked a bit if the hives at altitude will have any extra luxurious furnishings due to the harsher conditions but as I explain to people that kind of defeats the purpose of the bees being up there and adapting, surviving and thriving as Strong Bees and putting insulation or plush extras in these hives would only open us up to the horror scenario of a Soft Bee just coming along for the cushier digs and never getting out there and heroically getting any nectar. The second exciting development is that very soon you will be able to purchase exclusive naming rights for your very own bee from Hames Hives. You will get to not only name the bee but get a certificate of authenticity signed by me and a unique picture of your bee with a little circle around your specific bee. Naming rights for each bee will be $10 (plus certificate postage) for regular bees, $20 for Strong Bees (+ p/h) which will be printed on stronger paper and $500 for a Queen Bee should you wish to possess for yourself, or gift someone, one of the greatest honours possible to be(e)stow. It’s like that thing where you can name a star, but obviously way better as the certificate will be awesome and there’s way more chance of you visiting your bee. The website will be updated in coming months as we get our official branding, then the naming rights purchasing opportunity will begin. Due to the fact each bee named is unique (no generic photos) and for reasons explained above we are limited to the 3-5 million bee mark so be quick.

FUTURE NEWS
There is no shortage of exciting buzz flowing down the pipes for Hames Hives as weeye off a November launch for the honey. Farmer AJ (pictured) is literally in NZ RIGHT NOW to inspect the facilities and partnerships we’re building there, so it’s truly a global operation (just mostly focussed in the bottom right hand corner of the globe) and there will be a simply outrageous amount of news flowing from that trip like delicious information honey. There’s also the other Big News codenamed “BS” (but very much real) that I pledge you will hear about exclusively next newsletter once a final thing is sorted. Sorry for the vagueness, you’d just hate to see this get stolen/Slugworthed. I’m also going to be firing up the hameshives Insta handle soon, the peaceful handover is underway, more beetails in the next update but throw it a follow so you’re there for the exciting first official post. So whether you’re eyeing off getting one of our first vintage jars of honey, are looking to go higher end with Manuka, wish to purchase naming rights, or are looking to harness the cross-species performance enhancing benefits of an energy gel made from honey from the worlds strongest bees (you’d assume), there’s so much to get your mouth excited about. For too long humans have purchased honey without several months of updates and newsletters, but here at Hames Hives we aim to change that.

Keep be(e)lieving, cos I really do.
Buzz buzz kiss kiss.

Looking for episode

Does anyone know the episode where Hamish is telling a story about Andy showing him a picture of his rear end operation and says something like ‘now… that is gross’

reddit.com
u/jiveclames — 7 days ago

Can anyone remember??

I’m trying to recall a segment where Andy overheard a conversation and then him and Hamish had to reeact it (maybe in a song format)?? This particular one was about a girl saying her friend couldn’t go to pre drinks or something. I remember finding it really funny but can’t figure out enough key words to be successful in a Google search!!

Episode 343 Discussion

Ahoy, listeners!

A new episode is now out! 👇🏼

Season 9 (2026), Episode 343

Andy reports back after encouraging Bec to slow down her matcha routine and embrace a more formal ritual. The boys investigate a seemingly unbelievable ad starring Sydney Swans star Isaac Heeney, Jack finally delivers an update on the long-awaited Hamish & Andy board game, and Hame's Hives returns with a genuine buzz.

  1. Bec is rushing her matcha
  2. Jack’s H&A board game progress
  3. Isaac Heneney’s completely realistic ad
  4. Hame’s Hives cocktail party

Reminder: We firmly endorse disparaging comments about any mods who don't post the episode discussion thread on time.

Has Hamish still got some of those Airtasker conversation scripts?

Ages ago Hame bought three(?) scripts for conversations to have with the boys on air from Airtasker or one of those type of websites. I remember one being had, have we had the other two? Were they so natural that they slipped by all of us?

Thoughts?

When did the ‘shtick’ on the show become joking about doing things, rather than just doing silly things? Have listened to this podcast since day 1, and back into the radio days but doesn’t feel like their heart is in it anymore. We used to have listener participation every episode but now it’s basically done within the first 5 minutes after the international shoutout or whatever. I dunno, just feels like there was always something big the boys were leading into that kept you hooked, and they haven’t had that for a while now. I used to listen to the pod first thing Thursday morning, and now I’m finding it slowly slipping in my rotation.

Upset Andy: South America Gap Year DVD

I bought this on eBay and Disc 2 was replaced by Gap Year Asia. I contacted the seller and he unfortunately does not Disc 2 of South America. To whoever bought their Gap Year Asia DVD and ended up with Disc 2 of South America, please let me know, maybe we can do a swap 😂
