Issue with custom sounds not working in map.

So I been trying to have two custom sounds pack for an addon, and they don't work.

I currently have them in my: Half-Life 2/hl2/sound/custom .
They work after compiling the map
I used either VIDE or CompilePalX for packing

And going to the spot gives me this in the Console:

Cannot figure out which search path sound\custom\tacoscopref1.wav came from. Absolute path is maps/d1_canals_03.bsp\sound\custom\tacoscopref1.wav

why I can only displacement sides or paint alpha on sides of block or brush

is only let me displacement on the sides it doesnt let me displacement anything else

i fix but it come back sometimes for now so is ok

WHY MY MAP LOADS IN OLD VERSION

I literally overwrote all the old files with the new ones I could find, I deleted the map from the workshop, literally everything, and it still loads the old version even when I enter it through Hammer (i used compile pal if that something changes)

Prevent parts of the map from getting navmesh generated

I have a map where I would want to mark an area to prevent the game from generating navmesh there, because I don't want enemies to spawn inside sewage water.

How could I achieve this?

can maps not be sealed and still run?

i was searching trough some really old maps i did when i was first starting messing around with hammer- and i noticed one of them wasn't properly sealed, having a trigger_hurt entity covering the bottom of the map in a hole where the skybox should be.

thing is, the map still loaded and ran- falling trough the hole sent me into the source void til i hit the actual map limit.

is this a normal thing that can happen?

the original map was made for Half Life but i ported it to Garry's Mod, recompiled in Hammer++ and ran on the latest Gmod64 branch

ive checked, pretty sure it has mipmaps and everything, zero clue why its like this. it looks normal up close but it looks really odd from any distance that isnt near point blank. happens when i compile and try it in game as well

encountered this weird issue where red lighting on prop appeared out of nowhere. have anyone else encountered this?

what's interesting is that in hammer the only nearby light sources are yellow, and the only red lights are on helipad, all the way in the opposite side. i even checked in hammer, and there's nothing at all. recompiling also doesn't seem to do anything

Where to place Hint and Skip Brushes

Left my cs 1.6 map compiling for 3days that i made in J.A.C.K it still didn't compile i need to add Hint and Skip brushes to reduce the compile time but i have 0 clue where to put them i tried putting them on doorways and entrances to separate outside and the inside which made every func_ item not appear visually.

Only the big building in the center is accessible from the front, left side and the back.

Supermarket with a huge open area and a parking lot

if anyone could draw quick vertical or horizontal lines on my 2d map review that would do it. I tried listening to people trying to explain skip and hint brushes but non of the explanations make 0 sense on a big map like this.

My map is missing the textures on the Submit version of the map..

EDIT: **FIXED** apperently i had to place Textures under [addon_name]/materials.. i had them inside /textures outside Material's folder.. So it didn't export them correctly.. That's on me guys. Thanks for your help! ♥

i think i imported everything correctly in Hammer / material editor. and it works perfectly in the engine. But when i export it for the Workshop and play it on regular cs2. i see the purple/black texture which means that Textures are missing.. so idk what's happening here (i'm new with hammer) couldn't find the solve Online.

How to make Hammer(++) see custom Team Fortress 2 props?

Ive been trying to check of maps in TF2 work latley, loading old maps causes no issues but loading newer maps show errors everywhere, i guess im missing models but i dont know how to make so Hammer++ would be able to see and load them, or where are they stored
Anyone knows answer to this problem? for the example, lets say im talking about map koth_boardwalk

How should i signal this door is important?

idk if this is the right place, but I'm making a map where the player has to turn on the power to activate a door and escape, but i don't know how to signal this to the player without directly telling them. I don't want to just have text pop up that says "i need to turn on the power to leave" or anything, i want them to come to this conclusion themselves.

My 3d skybox displacements keep getting messed up when I load my map.

When I first make the displacements they compile fine, but once I load the map I get the error that they were not loaded correctly. I've seen some fixes like making sure they're not concave or whatever but the base planes are fine and displacements are kinda supposed to be able to do that right?

This tool.. is a soundscape creator! Why does it exist?

This tool was created in mind with people who might be struggling with creating Soundscape file manually or getting frustrated.
