I’m writing a Drarry fic that takes place shortly after the war. The tone is more mature/realistic than the books. A lot of the original plot and world building makes no sense and doesn’t fit my narrative.

Here are the main areas I’ve tweaked:

1. Flesh out the Ministry as a government body

2. Flesh out pure-blood ideology/politics

3. Flesh out wizard-creature relations

4. Added backstory for Harry and Draco

5. Race change for Harry, Hermione and Pansy

6. Develop the magic system

7. More emotional trauma for everyone 😜

How far is too far is too far. What elements of canon need to stay intact for a fic to be considered cannon compliant.

I’d appreciate input from my fellow Drarry fans :)

I’m looking for recommendations wear he wears skirts. Not in a female Harry Potter or in a trans Harry Potter way. Just in a that’s what he’s wearing and gives details on his outfits

Hi Everyone, I am looking for a Severitus (Snape adopts/raises Harry) fic, where for Christmas, Harry goes to the Burrow where Sirius is also visiting. Sirius gets angry about Harry living with Snape and says really hurtful things to him. Harry gets deeply upset and flees back to Snape's house using the Floo. Thanks All!

I'm only half way through the book, but can we agree that this is the most accurate Draco ever?

I've read MANY, from Detraquee, to Manacled. But this Draco makes sense.

He would never be some easy-going sassy dandy that has fucked his way around, and flirts with Hermionie like he's not traumatized. Also, him being nasty just because, doesn't make sense either. The Malfoys being good, just because, is silly too.

Here the Malfoys turn "good" bc they have to, out of convenience. The way he approaches the relationshis is careful, he's not some dandy either. He's not toxic, just had had a rough life. He's not just friends with everyone at work like some party clown.

Separately, I like that Ron is annoying and stubborn but in a normal way. It doesn't make sense for him to be a nasty drunkard. Molly didn't raise no bum.

I remember it being a story on ao3. Harry makes a friend during muggle school who is japanese and the friend starts bringing him bentonite boxes. The friend has to leave tho after a while. The friends family is some kind of bird creature from Japan. Harry gets sorted to slytherin and Daphne helps him do his hair. The father of his friend gives him a feather he wears in his hair. The friend has 2 or 3 more brothers (not sure if its 2 or 3). At the end of the 1st year at hogwarts the family takes him to japan. Ohh and they give harry some sort of box through which they can pass letters to each other.

Please help me find this fic. I have been searching for a very long time.

I don’t remember a lot of this fanfic. I’m mostly sure that it was on fanfiction.net and Molly had use black magic to turn his seven son into a girl and Ginny was pretty unhappy with that.
I believe it was an anti Dumbledore anti Molly Weasley fic.

I'm looking for an old FanFiction I remember reading that I desperately want to reread. I only remember one scene one only one conversation.

Harry, Draco, Neville, and Narcissa feature in this conversation. Draco has some spoiled confrontation with both Harry and Neville and then goes home for the holidays and gets to talking with his mother. Draco says something childish, ignorant, and stereotypically 'Malfoy' forcing Narcissa to correct Draco.

During lull in Draco's rant Narcissa interrupts Draco and asks him a seemingly innocuous question about the Malfoy family motto which in this story is, 'Pride in Our Line'. To which Draco proudly and confidently states.

Narcissa jumps on that topic quickly not missing an opportunity to instil some counter indoctrination to Lucius' dumb, sleazy, malfoyness. I remember the how the author described the scene quite clearly. It said that Narcissa briefly gave in to the ever constant 'Black Madness' and gained an almost zealous look in her eye as she told Draco he was also half black and that their family motto was Toujours' Pur which meant always pure. Narcissa than snaps out of her brief bout of black madness and explains her interpretation of the meaning 'Always Pure'.

At this point in the conversation about family history and values Draco suddenly becomes curious and asks about the Longbottom family motto as he has a childish political spat with Harry and Neville in which he was surprised when Shy, Easily Bullied 'Squib' Neville stood up to him with surprising firmness and outwitted him with simple logic. Draco gets the hint that he was being childish and simple humphs and walks away the sore loser of that tiff.

Narcissa then replies thoughtfully about her sons curiousness that the Longbottom family motto was 'Grow Together, Never Yield'. She then says something almost fondly but definitely firmly respectful about Frank and Alice Longbottom and about how their minds broke so utterly and completely under Bellatrix's cruciatus curse rather than yield valuable information about the war. She then says something along the lines of if Neville is even half the man Frank was that he will be a strong and powerful lord one day.

Draco goes quite seemingly thoughtful learning some respect for a boy he so easily looked down on before for an awkward moment and then asks what about the potters.

Narcissa chuckles a bit and simple says, "I've never quite understood that one. However, the Potters teach their sons to, 'Embrace the End'... Whatever that means..."

The author then infers that this was not originally the Potter family motto but was adopted in the early thirteenth century. Which the reader can immediately infer is when Hardwin and Iolanthe Potter (neé Peverell) got married and the cloak became a Potter family heirloom and Hardwin, out of great respect for his wise grandfather-in-law changed the motto to honour him and his important life lessons. The previous Potter family motto was not mentioned.

The only other things I can remember was that it was AU. It was Harry Centric. It was in their first year that this happened. and of course the mottos themselves which I'm 99% sure I'm quoting verbatim. Oh and it was most likely on Ao3 and if its not them most definitely FFN because those are the only two sites I use.

Fight (dept of mysteries?). Girls (Susan bones?) snap a Lot of wands. Adults (moody? Maybe) are. It sure whether to be proud of their prowess, or horrified at the wand snapping.

I have seen wand snapping in fight a few times, it’s possible this was just the first time i saw it/ a lot of it happened. Literally no other details are attached to this memory (I did/do find it badass). Length of fic, pairings, nada, just “remember when the girls snapped a bunch of wands in a fight?” Info want to say it was the “sweet hugflepuff girls” Susan and Hannah

Time travel is my favorite tropes but most Snape time travel fanfics take him back to the marauders era (which valid lol) but I’d love to see him get sent back to any of the golden trios years at Hogwarts OR if there’s a different character traveling back to those years and Snape is heavily involved

I’m looking for a fic that follows Harry through all 7 years of Hogwarts but with the concept of “what if James and Lily never died?” I’ve looked all over but to no avail. I’m currently writing my first ever Harry Potter fan fiction. I have 13 chapters written so far I’ve been working on this project for months and I keep reading what I write and I rewrite it now I need honest opinions on of it all is making sense and the flow is on point I’m looking for someone to be a editor for me but also be a beta reader for. So I’ve just read the apothecary under the stars by draconisOwlyn. And now I need more fics where Harry love plants and herbology and potions. He learns how plants can heal and harm. Idk something with a similar vibe

The idea occurred to me that if Bella knew who sold Potters out she could come to the conclusion that Wormtail pulled a double treason and somehow what happened to Tom is on him. So she decides to do something about it.

I know that’s very specific (at that point why not just write it myself right?) but I’ve been very curious about this what if for a while. What if lupin bit harry in the forest and he transformed into a NORMAL werewolf (not some weird wolf snake hybrid like this one fic I found) and he got with hermione. Maybe dealing with his lycanthropy over the summer and during the tournament the next year brought them close?
