50 ft falls, hidden falls

I highly recommend 50 ft falls and hidden falls, between the village and the campground. Hot far off the main trail, but it’s tucked in the creek behind and below rocks. Totally worth looking for, if you’re interested in the step by step directions let me know. Beautiful waterfall with less crowds and deep water.

Socializing at Havasupai/Supai Village?

I really love the southwest in general and would love the idea of making this a bucket list visit. The hike and camping would be worth it to me for a cool experience in a remote village. My one question is, what is it like once you’re down there? Can you socialize in the town with the locals? Are there any events? Can you socialize with the other campers?

My favorite way to meet people when I’m traveling is to visit local pubs/bars but it seems like the only place open in the village is a cafe that closes at 7pm, and from YouTube it seems like it’s not even open consistently, so I’m not really sure what that means in terms of meeting people and socializing. When I search this group I’m not really finding much either.

EDIT: basically what I’m looking for is… what is there to do on a Friday night in Supai Village? And where do the locals go vs. where do the tourists go? Is there anywhere where they go hang out together?

I have one spot available on my permit

Hi - I'm new to this group. I'm the permit holder for two for October 1-4 Havasu Falls but my hiking partner just broke his foot. I believe my options are that I can cancel his permit until July 3 (90 days prior) and get half of his fee refunded or otherwise find another hiker to join in his place. Is there a sub where people are looking to find availability with other hikers for this particular hike? I know these are hard to get (especially for October) so I wanted to see if there was a match out there before seeking a partial refund.
