Lorik Fund small business grant helping a displaced Artsakh Armenian rebuild through art and sewing

After losing her home during the forced displacement of Artsakh Armenians in 2023, this young woman is rebuilding her life in Armenia through sewing and applied arts.

Lorik Fund recently supported her through our Small Business Grant Program, which helps displaced Artsakh Armenian families create sustainable sources of income and rebuild long-term stability in Armenia.

Many families lost not only their homes in Artsakh, but also their businesses, careers, equipment, and livelihoods. These grants aim to help families regain independence and rebuild with dignity.

Our projects have supported sewing work, beekeeping, farming, food production, printing services, livestock raising, and other small family businesses.

Why are Armenian markets importing products tied to the Turkish Armed Forces pension fund?

For years, Kradjian Imports has been importing and distributing Turkish brands like Tukaş throughout Armenian markets in the diaspora.

What many people don’t realize is that Tukaş was owned by OYAK — the Turkish Armed Forces pension fund.

That’s what makes this issue different for many Armenians.

We’re not talking about a random foreign company. We’re talking about business ties connected to an institution tied to the same military establishment that has historically stood against Armenian interests and openly backed Azerbaijan during the Artsakh war.

In 2020, during the war, Kradjian publicly stated they stopped selling Turkish products.

Yet today, Turkish products are still being imported by Kradjian.

People can make their own decisions — but they deserve to know the full context before spending their money.
