I got this message so logged into the HDFC app to renew the debit card but could only find the upgrade card option. Logged into net banking and couldn't find the renewal or re-issuance option anywhere. The links provided in their FAQ section can't be reached or found.
If anyone has renewed their Debit Card online recently, please let me know. Also, what might be the charges for this?
My last option would be to go to the bank.
My experience with HDFC credit cards has made me realise that this bank is just there to loot customers.
Firstly they will nit let you pay any amount to the credit card before the bill generation, so people who forget to pay drastically increases.
Alright, then bill generated? Then they will say wait 48hrs after bill generation to pay the bill. Like WTH is wrong with them? Who does this? This is 100% a trap to get more fines out of people, because this way i can assure many people will forget paying the bill. I wont recommend any HDFC cards to anyone.
I recently was asked at my first job to create a special salary account and while every bank seemed perfect it felt like a marketting gimmkc
Confused between HDFC
IDFC
HSBC
WHICH one should i choose and why
I blocked my NetBanking myself via customer care a few months ago due to security issues. Today I went to my branch and gave the signed HDFC unblocking form. The executive signed, put seal (I saw) and said it's done from their end. But it is still showing locked. Do I have to wait a day or so for servers to update or something? I am clueless so any info will help
Hello everyone,
I really need some legal advice.
I have been struggling with HDFC Bank for almost 6 months.
First, they delayed my ₹9 lakh credit. They kept saying (in written )it was with Compliance, then Forex, and that it would be credited in a few hours. It never came. Only after I filed an RBI complaint was the ₹9 lakh finally credited.
The next day, I made one transaction of ₹20,000. After that, from the very next day, I could not do any transaction at all.
My Internet Banking still shows the ₹9 lakh balance, but it is just a number on the screen. I cannot transfer it, withdraw it, or use it in any way.
When I visited the branch, the bank told me that there were no transactions in my account for the entire year. They even denied my ₹20,000 transaction, even though I have the Transaction ID as proof.
My RBI complaint is still ongoing, and I have already sent a legal notice. Still, HDFC Bank is not giving any proper explanation or solution.
Has anyone faced something like this? What should I do to recover my ₹9 lakh? Any genuine advice would really help.
Thank you.
I made a payment of ₹22,340 on the Income Tax portal through the PayU payment gateway. PayU generated a QR code, which I scanned using CRED. The payment was successfully debited from my HDFC Bank account, and I received a valid UTR.
However, the PayU page was still waiting for confirmation. The QR code had a countdown timer, and before PayU acknowledged the payment, the timer expired. It then asked me to generate a new QR code. When I exited the page, the Income Tax portal automatically cancelled the challan with a “Payment Failed” status.
To complete my tax payment, I generated a fresh challan and paid it successfully.
The original payment, however, is still unresolved.
Here’s what I’ve found so far:
My HDFC account was debited by ₹22,340.
The beneficiary UPI ID was cbdttin@hdfcbank.
NPCI considers the UPI transaction successful, so a fresh UPI dispute cannot be raised.
PayU says “Transaction not found” when I search using the UTR.
CRED initially shared an NPCI update stating the amount had been refunded, but later clarified that the update was incorrect.
HDFC Bank’s Principal Nodal Officer acknowledged my complaint and promised a response within 2 working days, but I have still not received any substantive response.
Since both my account and the beneficiary UPI ID are with HDFC Bank, I would expect the bank to be able to trace where the funds ultimately settled.
Has anyone experienced something similar with PayU, the Income Tax portal, or UPI reconciliation? How was it resolved, and which party ultimately helped recover the funds?
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.
