I am wondering if the Back round characters have names that r canon?

I am looking to take my daughter to see this for her birthday. Tickets even in the upper mezzanine would be over half my budget for the trip. Is there a way to get tickets for less? I’m going to buy them regardless because she really REALLY wants to go see this and if you know her she’s not the kind of person who bugs you or to get excited about most things. Any help would be appreciated.

My thoughts

Christian Slater to play JD's dad, Winona Ryder playing Veronica's Mom in a fun shout out to the original movie. I'm pretty sure Ms. Ryder would almost do it for free given her love of the movie displayed over the years.

Outside of that though who would you cast? (provided they can sing. Russel Crowe's performance of Javier proves that just cause you're a Hollywood actor doesn't mean you can sing your way out of a paper bag).

Is there a reason why the costuming and styling of pretty much every character in Heathers has been so much worse in every single professional adaptation of the show than it was in the original Off-Broadway run? I was thinking about the OBC styling in comparison to the West End proshot and how it feels so much less thought out and realized this is kind of the case for every single adaptation, new Off-Broadway run included. In the original, there is a personal spin on every Heather's "uniform", all of the outfits look personally tailored to each actress and the hair was very 80's, curly and voluminous. After it first came to West End it looks like cheap materials, less detailed outfits and slicked back straight hairstyles are the new norm. Not to mention everyone pretty much wears the same outfit with different coloring and the outfits all look very costumey and impersonal. Not a dealbreaker at all, and no hate to any of the new casts of course, just wondering what the deal is.

This will be very blunt to be as straightforward as possible. Do not attack me please, take everything I say with a grain of salt! I loved the show, I am only emphasizing my criticism to be straightforward.

As a fan of many years, I finally saw the official New York production. Here are my thoughts on the cast and production

- John Cardoza as JD is interesting. I prefer a playful, charming, dangerous but intriguing JD. His is not that. He is edgy, brooding, and at times very boring. However, his acting in act two during I say no and Meant To Be Yours and Dead Girl Walking Reprise is chilling. He plays the psychotic villain very well and I eat it up. I just wish he was more charismatic. His vocals however, did not disappoint!

- Isabella Esler carries a lot of Lydia into her Veronica. I love Isabella as a performer and she is perfect for Lydia, but she lacks expression for Veronica at times and plays her a little too cool at times. I prefer a more rambunctious playful Veronica. I like when actors embody the role and at times she shy’d away from making Veronica what she is. A geek. However, she is HILARIOUS. Special Notes:
- Hilarious Italian accent for Pasta. With lots of Oregano.
- Period joke during the me inside of me was ridiculously funny by how she did it
- Reaction during JD dead mom reveal Freeze Tour Brain

She portrays Veronica’s fear VERY well. I loved when actresses really emphasized how terrifying of a situation Veronica was in and Isabella does this very well!

- Zan Berube as Heather Chandler I don’t have many thoughts. She was funny. Her voice at times has an odd sound to it. I don’t know how to describe it. Great singing tho!

- Elizabeth teeter as Mac is PERFECT.

- Jackera Davis as duke is GREAT. No notes. Vocals serve.

- Cade as Kurt and Chris as Ram are PERFECT!! THEY ARE HILARIOUS. THEY ARE DANGEROUS. THEY ARE CHARMING. THEY SERVE VOCALS. I LOVE THEM!! Also super nice at stage door! So was John, very sweet guy!

- Production wise, I was surprised the music itself has less.. punch than it does online? In soundtrack, audios, even videos, it just felt less in person. To be fair I was second row but I assumed it would be even better!

Interestingly, I do not like Kindergarten Boyfriend in the soundtrack and always skip it. However, in person it is chilling. The vocals, the drama, it’s one of the most powerful songs in the show. Followed by I say no, and Lifeboat.

That is all!

So, I saw a production of Heather’s at a local theater, and why I like a show over all, I did have some thoughts:

Positives:

- I’m going to start with the two biggest highlights: JD and Chandler. Chandler’s actress had a wonderful voice, and she did something interesting which is bringing a slight immaturity to some moments. I liked that because I thought it added in another element of tragedy just showing how young Chandler was when she died. The JD was probably the most scared I’ve been of a JD since Slater (after seeing clips and the proshot), but he also did a good job tricking the audience, like he was very charismatic.

- the cast overall was good. The girl who played Veronica had a lovely voice. Martha’s actress was also great. She did this impressive thing in shine a light where her voice sounded completely happy, but you could just see the devastation on her face. As an actress, that is a very hard thing to pull off.

- the live band was great.

- at the end of dead gay son, one of the dad’s did the elphaba riff, which I thought was a fun inclusion. Got the audience hyped.

- the set design and costumes were good. The show was technically amazing.

Some of the negatives:

- some of the group numbers lacked energy. Not in an acting choice way.

- a lot of my issues were script wise. I didn’t like a few of the lyric changes, specifically in me inside of me. Now there were some lyric changes I did like, like I like the new lyrics and dead, gay son and I am damaged.

- there were a few microphone issues. I couldn’t hear a few ensemble solos.

Overall a 3.5 to 4 out of 5.

I saw this comment on a youtube react to Heathers and have never heard of this. I am seeing Heathers in the US in August and am front row middle so if it's a real/ still done tradition I def want to know haha! Thank you!

Okay so I was in YT till I found this leak, Lately I've seen several leaks of Heathers and I can't do anything but report because people don't understand what the NFT rules are or they simply have no respect for the master and publish them
