About lifting weights and growth

Does moderate weight for exercises like overhead press , deadlift or barbell squats stunt growth ? as it looks like it compresses the spine or does it have no effect on height. let me know ur thoughts on this

Can anyone tall me what voodoo magic this is?

Disclaimer: This is not a promo. I am not promoting any supplements or product.

Ok now this might sound like I am pulling your leg or something cause genuinely, I don't even know how this happened. So, in the last 8 to 9 months, I have grown like 7 inches? I don't know this is crazy cause I had stopped growing at around 13 or 14. Also, I haven't had a change in height for like a few weeks now so I don't know if I am done growing ok?

But just for context,

  • I am a 17, soon to be 18, year old girl so its out of question for me to grow at this age.
  • My mom's like 5 feet and my dad's like 5 feet 9 inches?
  • I got my period at like 12/13 years old
  • my siblings are not that tall either
  • I am the youngest child if that matters lol.

I just need someone to tell me what is happening. Feel free to ask me any question.

I'm 20M 5'7

Does anyone think I can achieve 5'9 or 5'10 like maybe till next 2-3 years. I know growth spurt stops at 20-21 but there are some cases where they increased 2-3 inches at 23-24 yo. That's why I'm asking. Any solution to increase height. 👉👈???

Can I still grow taller at 18?

I’m 167cm, I turn 18 in one month, about 8 months ago I checked my bone age at the doctors and I had a bone age of 15 years an 11 months, not sure how much that aged within 8 months, so let’s say my bone age is about 16.5 (if that’s how it works idk lol) my thing is that between the ages of 12-14 I had very little exercise and barely drank any milk, I was just wondering if it’s still possible to grow any taller? I started going to the gym a lot more recently, started eating a lot more protein too. Any advice appreciated!! (I want to be at least 2 inches taller, but if that’s not possible it really isn’t the end of the world lol) Edit: I hit puberty rather late, I have very little facial hair, maybe a strand or two on my beard, I hit puberty at 15 ish(this is when I started seeing the first ever signs) and was basically the only kid in my class without facial hair my whole life lol) edit #2: I realized I wrote my height is 176, im 167

Growth hormone therapy at 15?

So I'm 15 and 4'11. Always been shorter than my peers, so I've been thinking about it for a little while. My dad though, really wants me to grow in height, so I've tried pills and gummies that just didn't work. I think he's getting a little frustrated, especially since I'm fifteen now. He's been researching about this whole growth hormone therapy thing and I can't say I'm not a little nervous if we decide to really go through with it. I mean, yeah, i really want to do it, but at the same time i've read about side effects and stuff growing in the wrong places and stuff and it's getting me a little scared. Is there anything I should know about it? As far as i know It's gonna be a shot every month or something. I hope it's not too late for me. Thanks.

How stupid is it to take GH to grow larger features at 24 (Male)

Hello,

I (M)'m currently 24 and I have been depressed my whole life about my stature (5'2) and my really small features (hands,feet,head..). Would it seem plausible for me to get them to grow bigger via GH ?

Max?

I’m 6’2” at 14, my dad is 6’1”, my mum is 5’4”, I’m pretty slender and mostly legs, I have noticeable leg hair and starting facial hair, no chest hair

Am I done growing?

I’m 16 and 5’8. My dad is 6’0 and my mom is 5’7. I haven’t gone through a growth spurt in noticeably long like years, I am eating and sleeping and exercising but I just don’t think I’m growing.

How tall could i be

Im 13.5 started puberty at 12 and i have a mustache its visible but not extreme like an adult i also have pretty noticeable leg hair, etc basically body hair and i’ve noticed a few beard hairs coming in, my dad is very hairy so it might be genetic otherwise in curious because this body hair is making me think im done growing, at 12 i was about 169 and at 10 yrs old i was 155-160

Hello, fellow heighters, new to this. I'm 30 yo, 176 cm, would love to reach 180 cm maybe 182 cm. Is that possible?

I’m 30 and about 176 cm. I know most people say height is fixed after growth plates close.

But I still see mixed claims online, so I’m trying to understand what’s actually real.

From what I’ve read:

Posture work can make you look a bit taller, but I’m not sure if it’s permanent

HGH / IGF-1 doesn’t seem to increase height in adults

I’ve seen claims about things like “microfractures” or bone stress methods, but that sounds doubtful

Stretching/hanging seems to only give temporary changes

So my question is basically:

Is there anything non-surgical that actually gives permanent height increase in adults, even small amounts? Or is it all just posture and measurement differences?

I want to grow help me🙏🏻

I’m a 16 years 11 months male, turning 17 in June. Current stats:
Height: ~165 cm (5’5”)
Weight: 90 kg (was 96 kg, dropped to 90 kg in 3 weeks)
Family height:
Father: 5’10
Mother: 5’2
Brother: 5’10

Main concern
I’ve had very slow growth all my life and basically no height increase in the last ~2 years. I’m worried I may have missed my growth spurt, but I’m not sure.
My goal is 5’10, but I want to know if that’s even realistic anymore.

Recent lifestyle changes (only last 2–3 weeks)
Started gym (3 weeks, consistent, enjoying it)
Started calorie deficit (recently)
Weight loss: 96 kg → 90 kg in ~3 weeks
Sleep fixed recently: 10–11 pm to 8:30 am (8–9 hours)

Current diet
3 dates
Black coffee
Bowl of watermelon
2 egg omelette (low oil, cheese)
3 small minimal-oil patties (protein source)
Bran bun
3 cups low-fat milk
All vitamin tablet as supplement

What I’m trying to do
Cut down to ~65 kg
Stay consistent with gym
Improve sleep and lifestyle for growth and health

Questions
Is there still any realistic chance of further height growth at this age?
Can weight loss + gym + proper sleep still trigger a late growth spurt if I’m a late bloomer?
Should I get a bone age scan or any hormonal tests to know where I stand?
Is my current diet enough to support growth + gym or am I missing something important?
Looking for honest, straightforward answers.
