Not only am I extremely pissed off but I’m so disappointed. my hirono after dark lamp came today and it doesn’t work. The light does not work. My box got delivered with one piece of tape and one side open so clearly it had a rough voyage over here then I got scared that it would be broken so I opened it and then I realized it’s literally a piece of plastic. Even the figure it’s not made of good quality material like the other figures it’s straight up plastic and it’s so light then I go to try to turn on my lamp and the light does not work I plug it in the charger thinking maybe it’s dead and it didn’t work still I just sent Popmart an email but no response as I just sent it so wish me luck!!

Does anyone know what the “27” on the side of Drifting By’s hood is supposed to mean?

Since the whole After Dark series has this old VHS / movie / late-night aesthetic, could 27 be some kind of tape or movie number? Or maybe it represents a date, an age, or something connected to Hirono’s lore?

I also wondered if it could be a hidden reference from the artist that I’m missing, or if 27 appears somewhere else in Hirono’s previous collections/artworks.

Or maybe I’m overthinking it and it’s purely a design choice :0

Has anyone found an official explanation or noticed any clues about why they specifically chose 27?
