It is 1996, and the Cold War is officially over. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics managed to prevail over the United States of America, which dissolved in 1992. Now, the Soviets hold an iron grip on more than half of Europe and a third of the world.
However, this fragile peace is only temporary. In London, the last bastion of democracy stands firm behind the global shield of the London Treaty Organization—a successor to the defunct North Atlantic Treaty Organization—dedicated to containing the Red Menace. Meanwhile, a third force rises from the ashes of old oligarchic republics, the revolutionaries of the Commune of France and the People's Republic of Italy.
As the tensions rise, the world teeters on the edge of a new, even more frantic and aggressive Second Cold War, emerging from the rotten corpse of the Soviet-American conflict.
Perhaps one of my favourite HOI4 mods of all time. Custom maps are something I wish more. And ironically a mod where Ireland is actually interesting and fun to play as well.

Like the title said I need some coder help with my mod. It's an old mod that I used to lead but shelved three years ago due to my failure of management. The mod is called "The Tyranny Rises" (TRT), this mod is a revival mod of an older mod called "The Downfall of Liberty". TRT is a what-if idea for TNO, on if the German's invaded America like Russia and collapsed into warlords. Our code that we're working with is TNO Toolbox Theory 1, which was made for 1.14 I believe. Our two current goals for the code is for it to run on its own and have it updated to 1.19 Hoi4. If you are interested toss me a DM, currently we don't have a public server as we want to make sure a demo comes before we have a public discord server.

The year is 1956, nearly a full decade after the Atomic Bombing of Stalingrad and the uncomfortable ceasefire on the Eastern Front that followed. The German Reich rules a new empire, built from the oppression of its constituents, from Brest to Rostow, from Narvik to Sofia, and yet that isnt enough for the rapidly-declining Fuhrer. Across a highly militarised English Channel, the British watch uneasily, waiting for their chance to return to Europe. The Western Democracies, spearheaded by an awoken United States, have banded together under the banner of the ‘Washington Treaty Organization’ in a quest for mutual security and spreading freedom* throughout the world. The Soviet Union, albeit devastated from five years of fighting on their own land, awaits the moment when the facade of peace finally collapses and war resumes in the East, to retake lands occupied and exploited by the decadent Reich. Across Europe and the world at large, a Steel Curtain has descended, and only time will tell which faction will arise victorious.

It is the early 1950s, and the world is divided.
Germany rules Europe, having conquered most of it from the Atlantic to the Urals, which it now needs to consolidate. The rest of Europe joined Germany to survive. Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Finland, Türkiye, Spain and Portugal joined Italy and Germany either due to pressure by the Germans or to prevent a forceful invasion. Their politics, military and economy is highly influenced by Germany's desires. Switzerland and Sweden still stand as "neutral" bastions of Europe, however, not even they can ignore Germany's influence, as one wrong move can result in war. However, Germany is weakening inbetween. They have conquered wast amounts of territories, and the pacification of them is not easy, taking most of the German army's attention.
Britain peaced out from Germany's European conquest on relatively good terms. For some minor payments all British PoWs were returned, which was demanded by the British public after the Dunkirk catastrophe. A treaty between Britain and Germany was signed, giving Germany free hand over Europe, in exchange Germany agreed to not pursue ambitions in the rest of the world, meaning Britain could keep her colonies. Britain embodied the treaty and reinforced the colonies and gaining new ones, especcially around the middle east. Additionally, Britain made sure that the fallen Eutopeans' colonies don't fall into fascist hands, by setting up exile governments or simply taking over control of colonies. This was relatively accepted internationally, however when the Spanish and Portugese colonies were taken after they joined "non-forcibly" the Axis, tensions risen, however Germany did not do anything against it since it officially followed their treaty. Britain now stands as the largest empire and opposer of Germany, having a strong grip on her colonies, who have forgotten about independence in these times.
The United States of America is divided between isolationism and interventionism. Tge United States recovered from the great depression thanks to FDR and the Pacific War. The US successfully defeated Japan after Pearl Harbor, and it can go back to not caring about the rest of the world, as the ruler of the Americas and East Asia. However, the politicians and the public started paying attention to what was happening in the world. Public opinion about Germany and fascism is highly negative, however no direct action has been done except for British and Soviet lend lease as well as diplomatic support. But crises occured which say that the US cannot ignore the world any longer. Fascism has tried to rise in the Americas, which the US intervened against, most famously in the Mexican uprising. Relations are tense with Germany as a result. However, the British-American relations also worsened, as Britain's colonial expansion was seen as blatant imperialism by some. Tensions got especially high when Britain forcefully put down a Canadian peaceful protest which was pro-independence. The USA is torn between interventionism and isolationism, especially as the largest economy some say it has the moral obligation to stand up against unfairness.
China is rebuilding and growing. Japan was defeated with the help of The UK and the US, but China payed a lerge price for survival. But China's size and military experience prevented it from becoming a pseudo-colony of Britain or the States. The fragmentation of China was not solved with the war though. Over the past years Chinaunder Chank-Kai Shek could consolidate and unite its territories to some extent. Communist China ceased to exist after a short continuation of the civil war, but communist sentiment and rebellions are not gone. The warlord situation has improved, however not solved and the West of China proper is still more or less independent. However, the fall of the Soviet Union let China exert its influence on Mongolia and Tuva, which was celebrated by nationalists. China tries to modernize, but it is hard. As the most popolous nation, chamge is hard to implement, especially when Britain is trying to exploit China through the Southern Warlords with more or less success. But if China modernizes, it can be the independist beacon of Asia, potentially the liberator and leader of Asians who could stand up against the continental giants with its population.
The Soviet Union doesnt exist anymore. Small remant states fight for power, glory and survival, which the great powers take advantage of. Divided and alone the ex-beacon of communism cannot come back, but with playing the right hands, a remnant state can maybe unite the remnants and bring a new power back.

This was a scenario I came up with a few days ago. I do not have any modding skills, nor motivation to make it, but it seems like an interesting concept which is unique compared to the current mods that I know and seems possible to make. If anyone wants to make this a mod, feel free to do, I would actually be happy to play. I also don't care about credits or anything if someone actually makes this.

I was trying to code in several parties with the same ideology, so I just coded entire sections with a _1 at the end to differentiate, but I didn't consider they would appear always. Not all countries need to have multiple parties with the same ideology, and not all of the time: is there some way I can toggle them showing in the party list through events or as a pre-existing setting?
Anytime I try to start HOI4 with New Order, the game crashes.

What is this mod?
Northern Front: Reclamation Day, is a mod set in a fictional civil war in Norway that happened in 1931, that is being developed by.. me
Its a short total conversation mod about reclaiming Norway and/or taking territories in the long run
NFR offers 18 playable warlords, but only 3 of them are Major nations that offers different paths.
As of speaking, only 1 of the nations has been completed with their content.
Alongside the playable content, NFR offers Welcome screens to let the player on to the situation around the Warlord, reunification super events for each warlord and something resembling a ending screen which after doing your last focus will tell you the future of the state you played that reunified the country.
If you are a country with choices in them in events for example, then the ending will reflect on depending on the actions you took during your playthrough
When is the mod coming out?
When its done. This mod is being developed solely by me, and i cannot promise some type of release date. I don't really plan on adding any further content to it either, this more like a fun little experiment im doing on my own
