max hp e-moto under $5k shipped across the border?

whats up guys. looking to pick up a fast e-moto / electric dirt bike and my hard ceiling budget is $5k usd total—and that has to include shipping from the neighboring country to my city.

i don't care about pedals or making it street legal. this is strictly for ripping up deep sand, bush tracks, and private property out here, so i just want the absolute max horsepower, torque, and instant acceleration i can possibly get for five grand.

since the plan is to get it shipped up from across the border, whats my best route to get the most power-per-dollar stock? should i try sourcing directly from a verified alibaba supplier to ship a crate straight here, or stick to a major distributor over there (since they can drop their 15% local vat for export)?

if anyone has experience importing these across border or knows a specific bike that punches way above its price tag stock for this budget, let me know.

New to the e-moto/e-bike world. What brands/models should I actually be looking for?

Originally I started this adventure just looking for an e-bike to ride around trails, woods, and fields around my property.

Now after going down the rabbit hole, I’m starting to think I probably want more of an e-moto/e-dirtbike style setup instead.

Problem is… I have no idea what brands/models are actually decent and what’s junk. I keep seeing all kinds of stuff pop up on Facebook Marketplace around me and I don’t know what’s worth considering.

Budget is around $1500-ish.

Main use would be:
• woods/trails
• fields
• hills
• rough terrain
• riding around my property
• eventually riding with my son while he’s on his little 50cc dirt bike

I’m in Western PA so there are a lot of hills and muddy/rooty trails around here.

So far I’ve looked at:
• Philodo Falcon
• Freego X2 Pro
• Eskute Nova X

But I’m definitely open to other suggestions if there are better options in this price range, especially used.

I’m 5’10” and about 180lb if that matters.

Basically just trying to figure out:
• what brands are decent
• what brands to avoid
• what models are considered solid beginner bikes
• and what gives the best fun-per-dollar around this budget

My Xpro Drax 🐝

What’s up guys — figured I’d finally make a post on everything I’ve done to my XPRO Drax X Pro 72V so far.
This thing started as a fun project and has slowly turned into a full DIY garage build. At this point I’m basically trying to push it into more of a budget Ultra Bee-style / Frankenstein build and see how far the platform can go.
Current mods / changes so far:
FarDriver ND72680
Sur-Ron throttle swap
48T rear sprocket
HD chain
full Ultra Bee front end
Chaojie display
UB Headlight / shroud
UB front brake
integrated rear tail light(sequential)
72V to 12V step-down converter
USB outlet
Amorge Battery is on the way (Tenpower 50XG 40ah)
custom wiring / accessory setup
lots of tuning and little changes along the way
I’ve also been messing with suspension, fitment, wiring, controller stuff, and generally trying to make the bike feel a lot more serious than stock.
The cool part is the Drax actually seems to share some compatibility with more pit bike / China dirt bike style parts in certain areas, so it’s been a weird but fun platform to experiment with.
I’ve been documenting the whole thing because there’s still not a ton of info out there once you start going beyond the basic bolt-ons. People seem to really like seeing the process, especially the Ultra Bee front end swap and FarDriver stuff.
Still want to do more with it too. This definitely isn’t the final form yet.
If anyone else here is building a Drax or has gone deep on one, I’d love to see what you’ve done or compare notes.
I’m still not done yet either lol.
Anyone else messing with one of these?

How much do police care about e-motos?

I’m about to get an e-moto this summer, currently looking at the gt54 or eskute nova mini. Was wondering about everyone’s experience with police because I don’t want to get my bike impounded.

Anyone in Europe, got your Hands on the Freego X3?

Has anyone also in Europe been able to get their Hands on the Freego X3, either 40ah or 50ah version?

PLEASE if you do I AM DESPERATE TO KNOW HOW AND WHERE

They sent me a Email just saying: "No." and the X2 Pro wont be available in the EU Shop in the foreseeable Future

Most Pedal Bikes ive looked at had a lot of People mentioning that PAS is either not usable or even Non-Existant.

Almost Ordered a EKXBIKE TX1 or GTS X22 but the TX1 is too new to even decide on and doesn't have P-Settings nor does the GTS X22 have functional Pedal Assist.

oki thankssssss

NEED RECOMMENDATIONS - e-bike under $500 please!

***E-BIKE RECOMMENDATIONS ONLY PLEASE 🙏🙏 it’s okay some wouldn’t spend under $500 but that’s my life and it’s going to change it to be %140 better right now. THANK Y’ALL 🫶***

Hi, I’m looking to purchase an e-bike. I eventually want to invest into my dream one, but right now I’m looking for one that can help me move around better. I have an RV and wanting something to get back and forth around town, to coffee shops, cross the bridge to the beach (I live in Miami), grocery runs, etc.

I have been recommended Lelekuia for $200 from one of my friends here. She loves it, lives off the beach and works there. Says it actually can go up to 50mph and has a 40 mile range.

What I’m looking for:

-$500 or less (but if worth it will go up to $700)

-Foldable

-Minimum 40 miles on one charge

-Pedal Assist + Full Bike mode

-Strong enough motor, mostly flat but will be carrying some supplies

-Space for storage

-Removable Battery

-I’m not sure if some go faster than advertised or I know you can mod later but I’m not sure about that or what to look for in that

(Chatty - Chat GPT) recommended:

-Windhorse W4A
-Blutron EB350F Folding Ebike
-GoTrax foldable
-Lelekuai (friend has)

Thank you anyone that is able to help! Bonus if you have tested multiple brands or if you can at least recommend one🙏🙏

xpro drax 72v vs leonx®x1 max amp vs heybike villan

These seem to be the top contenders for the $1200 to around $2000 range does anyone have experience with all 3 of anything good/bad to say about them. Or any suggestions other than these that I might not have seen? Thanks in advance for any feedback

What do we think about this?

Specs - 60v, 1500w, 3k, peak, 30A, 150nm of torque
£1400 ($1900)

Had this around 2 weeks i didn’t build of course but it’s great and has insane torque and a decent top speed of around 35 (although it claims 42) it probably could get to 42 in perfect conditions though.

Do you guys think it’s worth this price? Be honest or even roast it

I have had this bike for around 2 weeks and it is a blast, there were a couple things that i was worried about before the bike arrived but it exceeded my expectations, by alot! Still has some cons but its a great bike and i will recommend it to everyone who wants to be “street legal”

Pros :
- absolutely NO throttle delay and insane torque ( for a hub motor this is a big upside )
- very nice display to keep track of everything on the ride
-great suspension, and a super cushy seat, feels like riding on a cloud!
- the best range i have ever seen on a Emoto, the 72v 50Ah battery will last for days on end, i rode almost all day yesterday ( 11 am to 8 pm ) and it only went down to 89%!

Cons :
-INSANELY heavy, website states ~120 lbs, its more in the 150 - 160 range, so it handles more like a motorbike than something of a surron, however there is a pro to this- since its so heavy its SUPER stable at high speeds.
-the bike uses a nfc card instead of a key which is kinda annoying, i just bought a wristband and put the nfc card on it and its way better.
- the chain hits the frame on bumps which makes a loud ding sound, even with it fully tightened, it would still hit, i fixed this by putting foam on the swingarm so it would no longer damage the frame and make noise

Overall this bike is superb, sure it comes from the factory with some wabi sabi but all of the fixes i did were $2.00 DIY 30 second stuff, its whisper quiet and it hauls!, if you were worried that it could not keep up / compete with a surron dont worry cuz this thing will gap any stock lbx, i love this bike and def would recommend (pls ask any questions i will answer)

Adding a brake light to Heybike Villain

I got a heybike villain recently and it’s my first e-bike. I’m pretty happy with it stock but I want to add a brake light. Does anyone know what the stock controller is and if it comes with a female wiring harness to easily add a 6 pin brake light? Do I need to change the controller or wiring to add the tail light? Also, I don’t see any brake lights spec’s for 52V. I see 36V - 48V on Amazon. Does the voltage matter for this?

Update on the v3

Warm weather is finally here. I have turned the line amps up to 400 and phase to 1000 It accelerates hard.I'm still slowly dialing everything in. The 50xg's are barely sagging. I'm running out of runway but it accelerates hard to 130kph then starts to taper off. It's at that point I run out of road and have to hit the brakes. I'm still hoping for 160kph once its turned up to the full 700 line amps and fully dialed in and I have a little longer road.

"Its a bicycle Occiffer I swear." Brake suggestions for 60-90mph Super 73

Looking for brake suggestions. Currently does 60mph with my temporary 72v 50a bms battery and 80a controller on qs205 but after my nucular p24f and molicel p42a 72v 42ah 350a continous discharge battery are added it'll be a literal surron, talaria and everything else stock killer SLEEPER with the exception of things like Stark Varg.

Im New in Town - Looking for info

Hi HyperEbikes!

I just purchased the Walfisk Et7 Ultra
https://walfiskebike.com/products/walfisk-et-7-1500w-brushless-motor-60ah-big-battery-full-suspension-40mph

Got about 30 miles on it so far and loving this form of transportation. Highest confirmed top speed so far is 44mph.

Its also got a bit of a wobble in the front when 40mph+, concerning.

Anyways I am looking for information and the internet is just a mess when trying to find ebike DIY info. I like to MOD, I modify everything and where do I get parts for this thing?

Id like to get 5000w motor going and have ideas for doubling the current battery with another as it fits the frame and would just double the width for 60V 90AH total, figure with a 5000w motor I should be able to do high 40's around town for a good while. Want to resist temptation of going down the highway and drawing attention to myself.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for where to look for:
New front fork - pretty budget suspension stock
New rear shocks - They feel super cheap, but better than none
Controller - Figure this is my brains, do they control all my lights as well? Want to keep my running lights, blinkers, etc..
Motor - Pretty sure its 190mm dropout on a 20x5 hub
DOT tires? possibly for a 20x5 hub?
Display options - Assumed match to controller.

Big list, just looking to streamline research here. Appreciate any help!

Is the Talaria Komodo my best bet?

Looking to get my first dirt bike with a budget of $6000 and I’ve practically narrowed down my choice to the Talaria Komodo.

I’m 16, 6’3 and 180lbs, and most E-Motos are pretty small, so I need a full size dirt bike.

I’m aware of its power and speed, which is kind of nuts for a new rider but it’s a compromise I have to make for a bike my size.

I plan on taking this onto trails and off roads, the bike will hardly see any roads.

Do you have any other suggestions other than the Talaria Komodo for someone like me?

Nireeka spectrx plus

Anyone looked into these and adding a full twist throttle and get one for $3359.30 with a discount code. Making it a lot cheaper than the RIF banshee and the bonnell 775 MX.
