I30N, 47000 km, maintenance always on time. First time with this car, 3 weeks owner, first time turbo car.

DCT sometimes gives a slight jerk when I’m driving aggressively. For example, when driving in the mountains, I can understand it happening occasionally during a downshift.

However, something happened earlier on the highway that made me wonder if I did something wrong.

I accelerated up to around 160 km/h in 4th gear, then lifted off the throttle and simultaneously changed gear using the paddle shifter. I felt a slight jerk instead of a smooth gear change.

Is this normal behavior for the DCT, or did I do something wrong by lifting off the throttle while shifting with the paddle?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Authorised dealer is saying 100 000km which sound little bit too much to me.

Has anyone fitted the extra long euro plate to the facelift I30N hatch? Looking at ordering but want to make sure they cover the whole front plinth before committing.

Hi guys! We managed to buy our first i30n fastback, year 2020 with 56000kms. We also have a normal i30 fastback and we absolutely love it.

However, our new car is a bit damaged, as it had a minor accident and needs a new hood, a new radiator frame, the radiator itself and a central grille.

Does anyone know how can we source these parts individually? Unfortunately the hyundai rep charges a LOT for the parts and we figured that if we source the parts and only take them to hyundai for assembly, we would save a ton of money.

Just bought a 2022 i30 N and wondering how to turn on the lock chime. Not an option in menu and have tried doing the key fob way but nothing seems to work.

Do you guys let the car chill for 1 minute before turning it off? I heard this about turbo engine. It's an old rule that nowdays doesn't apply anymore?

I am planning on buying a Fastback next year and I am so excited for this car for a long time.

Can I get some tips for this car? I heard that fuel consumption and parts can be lethal for your wallet but i also heard its reliable and fun to drive.

I live in the Netherlands and the the car is a Fastback 1.4 T-GDI N Line.

Hey, I have a question maybe you guys experience the same and may have a solution for it.

So I have just recently got my brake pads changed because the olds were worn out but kept the original discs as they were still fine.

I used DBA Extreme performance pads, they were bedded in i would say as they should.

So the problem, in normal use it feels like I cannot achive the full stopping power, so if I slowly pushing the brake pedal the braking power is just not there, i cannot really block the tires, im missing the bite.

However what I found if I kinda like kick the brake pedal, so the speed of the brake pedal travel is fast Im getting the full braking power. After some AI work it seems with this I activate the BAS (Brake Assist System) which is usually for emergency braking.

Question:
Is there any solution or trick to have more direct control over the brakes and achive the full braking power with "ease in" braking technique? I would prefer not to change the whole caliper as it is expensive and im not tracking the car, only local curvy roads.

There is a plan to upgrade the discs, brake oil, and brake lines but im not sure if this solves the issue.

I'm asking in the context of driving fast on a track, like the Nordschleife.

I know that there are many parts for this car, front splitter extensions, rear "diffusers", etc.

To me, most of them look purely cosmetic.

So far, I've gotten confirmation that this wing truly works, but it's a bit extreme.
