US comfort seats vs M Seats
Has anyone had experience in the comfort of these 2 seats? I like the M look but have heard the comfort seats are more comfortable

Caught on the German Autobahn! 👀⚡
This is the very first real-world sighting of the upcoming BMW iX3 Neue Klasse driving at speed on the Autobahn — heavily camouflaged and captured in stunning 4K.
BMW’s “Neue Klasse” marks the beginning of an entirely new EV generation, and this prototype already reveals key hints about the future design language of upcoming BMW electric vehicles. 🚀
Could this become BMW’s most important electric SUV yet?
So, I've no idea if it's been doing it since we got it but recently when sat waiting to pick someone up, I sat in the car with it in it's "off" state.
About every 10 - 15 seconds the efficiency meter fills up, stays like that for 5 seconds and disappears. At the same time there's like a little croaking sound that's coming from under the back seats and the fuel gauge on the right flickers, although not every time?
When you open the doors and the car goes off it stops. I'm guessing it's something to to with the battery/drive train but just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or has the same thing happen just to put my mind at rest?
Cheers.
Hi,
I’ve had this fault come up and think I’ve figured it out but wanted to check my thoughts…
We parked up at some services, no issues and PDC worked, 30min drive later arrived at the hotel and PDC fault comes up.
There are no chips or scratches on the PDC sensors and they are all clean but I have just noticed that the rear offside corner [UK car] is missing the grommet surround…would this be the cause of our issue as the sensor is receiving signal from the housing edge as opposed to directionally away from the car?
I’m hoping to pick up a used IX3 this weekend. It’s a late 2021 M Sport. Must be an early version as I though M Sport came through in 2022
Just under 40,000 miles and priced just shy of £24k. It has the electric tow bar which is attractive to me for carrying a bike carrier.
I’m slightly concerned if I should hold out for a newer model, 2022 perhaps. But that would be out of manufacturer warranty anyway so doesn’t seem as though much to gain
In terms of face lift etc, I think the only changes are superficial. Am I wrong?
Can anybody shed light on what the differences are between an (1) M Sport package car with the "contemporary interior", (2) M Sport package car with the "M Interior Design", and (3) M Sport package car with the "M steering wheel" add-on?
I'm especially focused on *not* getting the weird steering wheel with the big girder running down the center, and I'd like to get the best seats.
The BMW configurator isn't very clear and the photos are internally inconsistent.
How does one explain such a big difference in expected range, as published by NRCan? With 20 inch summer tires: 698 km. With 20 inch all-season tires: 616 km. The latter is worse than all other tire and size combinations, even 22 inch. Did they achieve the 698 km using steel train wheels?
My lease on an Audi RS e-tron GT is ending in late September 2026. I’d like an electric SUV so I can load 3 dogs in the back, and am considering a CPO iX or a new iX3, or possibly a used Macan 4 electric. I figured a considerable amount of depreciation would be knocked out of a 2024 or 2025 iX and it therefore may holds its value more, but that the iX 3 would probably depreciate considerably since it would be new. I don’t need the extra range as I don’t take lots of long trips. Air suspension also sounds like a worthy option which the iX3 isn’t offering.
I am planning on buying the next one, so which one would you buy and why? How much would I have to pay for a 2024 or 2025 iX with air suspension and relative low mileage?
Thank you.

Are there similar people in the BMW sphere, and anyone focusing on the Neue Klasse iX3?
There is a lot of information missing on the BMW site about the US models (such as dash cam features as one small example) and I’d like to keep up as information rolls out to an October production and Winter delivery.
So I know that other manufacturer's HUDs are virtually invisible when wearing polarized sunglasses, which for me makes the feature practically useless with my prescription sunglasses. I belive i found the same with the iX and i4 last time I test drive them.
How does the new iX3's displays fare with polarized lenses?
Also has anyone found any issues with bifocal or progressive lenses viewing the panoramic display
I'm looking at the online configurator, and trying to figure out some details. The cost of the panoramic sunroof is only $750, but I am skeptical it will be a loved feature in real life. I live in the New England's country side. Depending on the season, the top of the car gets covered with snow, ice, leaves, pollen, bird poop, etc. I get that it looks nice in theory and makes interior more welcoming but the sunroof in my current car is always shut and its shade is closed because the glass is cold is winter, the sun is hot in summer, and so on.
What's the hivemind opinion on that particular feature?
Might pull the trigger on a 2022 m sport pro. Has 110K miles on it but 94% battery health and one previous owner (lease vehicle). Being out of warranty is a concern but is there any issues that are likely to pop up? Is the battery warranty a major drawback? Based in the UK
I've seen reports that the ix3 will not come with ventilated seats at launch, is that true?
Can't imagine it be that hard to do when the iX has it.
I am so ANGRY! Getting the M Sport seats is one of my top priorities. I can't get this option, [which is currently in production and offered to European markets] because I live in North America? I placed my M Sport Pro (without M Sport seats) build order on Day 1. The dealer informed me the build can be modified until it goes into production. These [North American] M Sport Pro seats appear to be the standard seats with only different covers. Compared to the European M Sport seats there are No thigh/leg support extensions, No adjustable larger shoulder supports, No adjustable side thigh supports and still NO ventilation!
Let's let BMW USA hear, this decision is missing the mark! (see BMWBlog post) Production for NA is slated to begin late August/September. There is time for our voices to be heard!
Hi,
I’m looking at the former BMW ix3 (2021-2025) for my next car. I have will have two toddlers so there will be two car seats at the back and one behind me. I’m 183cm (6 feet) and I’m wondering it’s gonna be tight or ok. Has someone try that ?
Thanks in advance
The iX3 Neue Klasse is not yet available for test drives here in Canada, but I am trying to nail down the spec ahead of time. The Luxury package (C$4900) includes the upgraded audio. It is the only option in that package I am interested in. Based on previous BMWs, how big is the improvement from the base audio, for a non-audiophile? Worth $4900?
Hi all,
I’m based in the UK and seriously considering pulling the trigger on a nearly-new 2024 iX3. The new model is a bit out of budget, so this feels like the sweet spot for me.
This would be my first EV, so I’m trying to do my homework before committing. I’m aware of the official range figures, but I’d love to hear from actual owners about real-world experience – especially in the UK with our lovely weather!
A few things I’m curious about:
• Real-world range: How does it hold up in winter vs. summer? Motorway vs. city driving?
• Charging experience: Any surprises with the public charging network or home charging setup?
• Reliability: Any common issues or faults I should watch out for on a 2024 model?
• Running costs: Servicing, tyres, insurance – anything unexpectedly expensive (or cheap)?
• General ownership: Anything you wish you’d known before buying?
Basically – is there any reason I shouldn’t buy one, or anything I should be looking out for when viewing/test driving?
Thanks in advance for any insights. Really appreciate this community’s help!
