I had this strangest concept long time ago.

If I knew how to use C++, I would’ve reuse source code leak, and redesigned the game to turn it to a true retro indie arcade fantasy blood violence.

Id renamed it Minecraft: Veteran Edition, a aggressive alternate version of Minecraft, with beta textures and beta biomes, hybrid with modern overhaul (kinda), and less-corporate. With more expensive crafting recipe, scary mobs like one of those eyeballs from Terraria, weeping angels and hardcore boss like Herobrine, and no (peaceful) difficulty, turning survival more harder as things should have been.

Except, the end portal never happened yet, the lore is kinda bit like a prequel.

This is more of a rated [TEEN] +16 while the bedrock version is a friendly gameplay. And just that, probably completely discontinuing Java edition, making this one the main and playable on pc, Linux, Mac and console.

0 for Buildability my Tail

In a recent Seed Sunday, Toycat put the same seeds into different versions and gave them ratings. For the seed -7281096092593164987 in Beta 1.7.3, he gave it a 0 for buildability. He stood there and looked at the most gorgeous mountain range I had ever seen in Minecraft and said "nope, can't build here." I sought to prove him wrong.

How's that for a "0 for buildability"?

Why have both?

Last week, at Minecraft Live, Mojang announced the Dappled Forest Biome. One of the new plants in this biome is the "red shrub" depicted on the right. Unlike other plants, it will not be subject to biome tinting. But, any decorative use of the "red shrub" is equivalent to the existing crimson roots plant found in the nether. There is no need to make a new variety of shrub... just biome tint the bush.

To be clear: the red bush SHOULD exist as a tinted version of the regular bush, not a new variety of plant.
