The cost and the reward

I left everything just to appear for these exams. I left cricket although I play professionally, I left gym and lost all my gains just to let Cambridge score me like this.

I failed every single IGCSE subject. It feels like the end of the world. Has anyone bounced back from this?

I’m writing this because I’m completely torn apart inside. I didn't pass a single subject. I won't be posting my results slip because it’s just too painful.

For context, English isn’t my first language, but my main struggle has been severe mental health issues. I was bullied heavily for my appearance starting in 1st grade. By 5th grade, the bullying triggered a massive depressive episode that I never really got out of. For the last few years, including my two years of IGCSE prep, I had absolutely zero energy. My brain would literally block me from doing anything. I missed classes, couldn't focus, and was trapped in a vicious cycle of guilt and exhaustion. Now, the guilt is eating me alive. My parents paid for my tuition. My dad, knowing about my health issues, didn’t yell, but I can see how deeply disappointed he is :( He paid for my first year of A-levels but made it clear: if I fail again, he won't pay anymore. I know this is completely fair. Seeing everyone on here posting their amazing grades is incredibly hard right now.

I know people always say "it's not the end of the world" or "you can just retake." But as someone who hasn't been able to function for two years and just failed everything, it truly feels like my life is over and I've ruined everything. I really need to know, is there anyone here who failed all or most of their GCSES/IGCSES, but still ended up okay? How did u survive this feeling, and what did u do next? I just need a little bit of hope. thanks yall :)

IGCSE results

disclaimer this is going to be a rant.

when i was waiting for results i gen was expecting the worst thing possible, i was expecting a U on my add math cus i failed both my add math mocks, and cus the chem p4 v2 i did was genuinely such an awful paper and i felt my physics papers were terrible. but ME personally i was happy when i saw my results and all my friends were happy and praising me too for this, but my parents reaction is making me hate myself so much. at first my mom was so happy when i face timed her abt the results, tho my dad wasn’t pleased, but now their reactions have become more aggressive and displeasing and they’re just so bipolar abt it. i dont come from a lot of money so they were expecting me to a get a scholarship for my schools sixth form, which i did get a 50% scholarship for these results, but even with this percentage of scholarship they were and still are so mad at it, they’ve been drilling my head abt this and its been making me feel so depressed and ive just been crying non stop from all this degrading and un-appreciation by them. they are telling me so many “if if” scenarios like omg if u didnt take add math this wouldn’t have happened u should have studied more u should have taken islamiya why are u like this and etc. these results even got me in my schools top achievements list and they’re still not pleased by it. i genuinely feel like absolute sh!t bcus of this i feel horrible and awful about all this, im even willing to beg the school increase the percentage of the scholarship to get this nagging off my head. they made a happy day for me become one of the worst days of my life and i genuinely can’t do this anymore.

idk what posting this would do but i rlly needed to let this all out and im praying this gets better before it hits an extreme toll on me.

Can I wing the October/November iGCSEs

I am doing NO mocks ,have NO tutor but I'm overly good with GCSEs mark schemes and am tutoring myself for Cambridge physics, biology, chemistry and English literature. Can I wing it?

My results!!

I did expect A on global perspective, but i missed a few marks. I knew i am not that good on subjective subjects. I thought i will get A* on computer science and i am 2 mark away from A* TT. Also i hoped top in world on math but it is what it is. In the end, I feel pretty good on my results.

I am considering my A level as further math, math, computer science, and physic.

Feel free to give advice/ask questions.

should i show it to my parents

My parents genuinely think I’m a model student, so they weren’t worried about my IGCSEs at all. Now that the results are out though… do I actually tell them, or just keep hiding them?

Kind of took an unexpected turn for the best

Hope you all did greattt
