i got an email for iist , but im confused about the closing ranks of cse and other branches , is it like 40-50 marks in jeeadv?

I am getting space science and engineering here is it worth to take it?

I don't have any branch preference and also want to try for branch change please tell me how difficult is it there to upgrade to circuital?

I have 12.8k rank in adv, and tbh I have a interest in space and tech

So pls suggest me choice list and pls seniors tell if you regret going there or love it, because i am thinking of drop also

Also does distance from home become a prob, as I am from north so its far for me

And what about the package

Also what about campus life and infra

And does a degree from here opens opportunities outside as I want to get out but i think there are laws which don't allow immigrants to go in space tech in other countries

I've got 125 marks in JEE Advanced.
My core interests lie in the fields of Electronics and low level computer architecture.

According to my rank, I may be able to get IIT Mandi Engineering Physics or the new IIT Ropar Engineering Sciences (a stretch).

I saw the cuttoffs for last year and I should get ECE in IIST.

The remote location isn't a big factor for me.

Now, about the interest in Space related research. I've never really digged deep into that but I've always been fascinated by the field and would really like to work in it. (I don't really know if this is just the movies talking 😂)

Would you reccommend IIST considering the options I've got and could someone tell me if the college has any MoUs with Foreign Universities and does the IIST tag help if I wanted to study further?

And also, the placement packages don't seem to be mind-blowing but how is the placement cell of the college and is the bond with ISRO still a thing?

Also I am not sure what to choose ECE, Aerospace or EP ( I don't want CSE), if any senior helps me i would be grateful, thankss

I have scored 97.97 %ile in jee mains and able to get mechanical engineering in manit , I want electronics and communication and above branch in good nit

I saw some videos on yt saying one has to get rank of under 600 to get into this clg but on Collegepravesh it says one only needs around 30 percent marks in jee adv. Pls tell which one is true🙏🏻

i got 92 marks in jee adv, gen male, i dont think i should apply, as I might not be getting iist at this marks, also i can get any of the top 5 NITS except trichy from my jee mains %ile, should I apply or not?

Most prefer to go for nits over iist of they don't get iits, what are the cons of joining iist

So I have a really good passion for space and air related stuff, probably because I used to play games like simple planes and kerbal space program on my dad's pc, I got this score in jee advanced and received an email from iist stating that I qualify for admission in it? So Kya inn marks se kuch ho skta hai? Mene last year cutoffs check kre toh lagta hai ki slim chances hai, please help
