How it started and how it’s gone so far

So we aren’t 100% finished, not every thing was in stock ( besta glass doors) and we haven’t bought the mount for the monitor or the TV that will mount above the Eket units (which should have lights in but we forgot the cables. We also need to buy some additional cabling but you should essentially get the gist of it from this.

is this enough? pls help

got a new Ikea desk hack for my new gaming room, I bought a solid wood worktop from my local wood shop. It is 200 cm long, 80 cm wide and has a thickness of 26mm, has two alex dressers from ikea on each edge and mounted 2 legs on the back of the desk about 15 cm in from the back edge, there is about 40 cm between each leg and the alex dressers. I am afraid that over time the worktop will bend, should I put another leg in the middle of the
entire worktop or is this enough? I have put up the plate for an extra leg but my carpet makes the 3rd leg higher up than all the others which leads to the table being unstable. What do you think? should I make a hole in the carpet where the last leg should be for maximum safety? xD xD or should I put a metal plate that I attach to the entire length of the board? Or maybe they are enough as they are?
Please help.. <3

Will the ALEX Storage Unit be able to hold my ~22kg PC?

Hello everyone,

I have a 2m LAGKAPTEN tabletop supported by an ALEX drawer unit, an OLOV leg, and an ALEX storage unit.

I recently bought a new PC, and it weighs more than I expected—about 22 kg. I've placed it on top of the ALEX storage unit. Is this okay, or could it damage the unit or cause it to collapse over time?

Karlby 186cm + 2xAlex drawers - Support in middle? I don't want to drill into the desk.

Well... The title sums it up. I would very much prefer not to drill into neither the Karlby 186cm countertop nor the alex drawers, but I am going to have two monitors (Probably just on their stands) on it and a PC on the side. I'm trying to do all-Ikea as that's the most simple and attainable where I'm living, so if you have any ideas I would appreciate that. I can potentially order on amazon as well but only certain items are able to ship. Thanks!

LED Lighting - Help

What is the best way to accomplish something like this? Does the LED need to be in a diffused channel? Would Govee RGBIC Gaming Lights work?

Nothing special, but it’s mine and I like it

Did have to swap out the middle arm for an amazon one since the Ikea one kept pointing down. (Even though it’s supposedly rated for a 7kg monitor and that one weighs 3.7kg)

I’m going to put a 74” KARLBY on a standing desk base… will that be ok or do I need a middle support?

Title says it all…I anticipate the total weight on top to be ~120-125 lbs. the standing desk base I chose supports 280 lbs

How do you keep your desktop attached to your Alex drawers?

I lean on my desk often and the top slides around. How do you keep your desktop attached to your Alex drawers?

Grazie a tutti
