Secretly Canadian from Bloomington

Secretly Canadian is a highly influential independent American record label based in Bloomington, Indiana. Founded in 1996 by brothers Chris and Ben Swanson, Eric Weddle, and Jonathan Cargill while attending Indiana University, the label became a cornerstone of the indie rock scene. Despite its tongue-in-cheek name—co-founder Ben Swanson joked that "all good things must be secretly Canadian" due to his love for Canadian talent.

Hoops from Bloomington

Hoops was an American indie pop and dream pop band from Bloomington, Indiana, active from 2011 until their permanent disbandment in 2020.
