Secretly Canadian from Bloomington
Secretly Canadian is a highly influential independent American record label based in Bloomington, Indiana. Founded in 1996 by brothers Chris and Ben Swanson, Eric Weddle, and Jonathan Cargill while attending Indiana University, the label became a cornerstone of the indie rock scene. Despite its tongue-in-cheek name—co-founder Ben Swanson joked that "all good things must be secretly Canadian" due to his love for Canadian talent.
