Advice needed

30 M working as a govt teacher in Delhi. Wife works as a KG teacher in a good int school. Have our own flat and no major debt. Honestly I am quite happy if we talk about only the job aspect, pay is good and we save enough to travel.and leisure. I just cannot come to accept the daily struggles of life here. The pollution, the inefficient beaurocracy, the low.trust.society structure. Been thinking a lot about moving to NZ or Australia.in 3-4 years as teachers. Wife''s profession is in high demand in both countries. Need some honest advice and personal stories.

Solo travel advice in Australia

Hello lovely people

I have known AU only from two major references- cricket and MasterChef Australia.

As it happens, now I need to travel to Australia about first week of September for work. I am scheduled to travel to Sydney and Perth. While the days will be packed with meetings and work events, evenings should be relatively free to explore.

Need some advice on things to consider while traveling as solo female. Any help with navigating the public transport system, esp in Perth. Recommendations on places to visit, things to buy as souvenir and be a good tourist.

P.s. This also happens to be my first solo international trip so I am equally nervous and excited. Any help/suggestions from trusted fellow Indians would be appreciated!

Heads up for Indian grocer shoppers: Recalls and safety alerts for MDH and Everest spices

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share a quick heads up for anyone buying spices for their kitchen here in Australia.

You might have seen the news recently about popular spice brands like MDH and Everest getting recalled or rejected in places like Europe, Singapore, and Hong Kong. The regulatory authorities flagged high levels of ethylene oxide, which is a chemical pesticide that is not allowed in food products.

Since ethylene oxide is strictly banned in food here in Australia too, it might be a good idea to double check your pantry if you recently bought MDH or Everest spice mixes, especially curry powders or masala blends.

If you want to be extra careful, keep an eye out for batch updates or reach out to local Aussie food safety authorities if you have any questions.

Disclaimer: This post is purely for community awareness. Everything here has been verified using news reports and global food safety alerts including FSANZ, EU Safety Gate, and Singapore Food Agency.

Built an app for Indians settling in Australia — need 12 testers to get it live

I moved to Australia from Andhra Pradesh a few years back. Newcastle now, five years at Amazon before this.

The first months were a mess. One WhatsApp group for rooms, another for jobs, a Facebook group for the city, someone's cousin for a lift. I was in about eleven groups and still missed things. Anyone who's done this knows the feeling.

So I built InLoop. One place for housing, jobs, buying and selling, events, and local community groups — for people who've come here from India. I'm not a developer by trade, I taught myself and built it alone over nights and weekends.

It's on Google Play in testing now. Google's rule for solo developers is that 12 people have to install it and keep it for 14 days before it can go live. That's the honest reason I'm posting.

If you're on Android and have a minute:

Step 1 — Join with the same Gmail that's on your phone: https://groups.google.com/g/inloop-testers

Step 2 — Install: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.inloop.community

Install app use for 5 min for 14 days that's all it needs. If you open it and something's broken, tell me and I'll fix it.
