You might be aware that shops like the one at address: Shop 2/1-3 Station St, Wentworthville NSW 2145, "Delight Paan", previously called "Mahakaal Convenience Store" and even before that known as "Mahakaal Paan Parlour" along with other shops have been openly selling betel nut and betel nut products.

Why bother? Because it's ILLEGAL to sell betel nut in Australia

The reason for the complaint: Betel nut is banned from being sold as a food or food ingredient in Australia under Schedule 23 of the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code, and its active ingredient, arecoline, is classified as a Schedule 4 poison/carcinogen.

The other reason: Cleanliness and hygiene are compromised. There is no place for this practice of chewing and spitting on the streets in Australia.
