Mid-twenties crisis😭, tired of consuming content, want to create it. Which niche should I pick?
Yo guys... so I'm new to Reddit, and I thought, why not just ask you all directly?
A little about me first... I'm a girl in my mid-20s, and honestly, I'm not really happy with my job right now. And I consume SO much content every day, videos, podcasts, everything... and lately I keep thinking, what if I flip it around? What if I'm the one creating it instead?
People keep telling me I should... and I really want to too. But I'm a little conflicted... I can't decide which direction to go in.
I have two niches in mind right now...
**1) An informational channel**, like Vox, Aevy TV or Mohak Mangal, where you pick what's happening around us, break it down in simple words, and actually help people understand it.
**2) Lifestyle vlogging**... though I'm not sure what I'd even vlog about, honestly.
I'm leaning more towards the first one, but I'd love to hear what you think. And if you feel there's a third niche I should look at, please tell me! I'm open to anything...
One thing I'm sure about: I only want to do **long-form content**. I don't want to start an Instagram page, because I genuinely feel short-form is making all of us a little less focused (and I don't want to add to it).
Also... if there's anyone here who's a good video editor and wants to start a channel but is afraid to come in front of the camera... let's talk! I'm happy to be the face and the voice. Maybe we can build something together.
So... what would you pick, and why? Any advice at all is welcome. Thank you! 💛

Feedback on my thumbnail for a K-drama fight compilation? Does "ONE VS EVERYONE" grab you?
Hey everyone, I'm about to upload a long-form fight compilation from a K-drama (Weak Hero Class 1 Season 1, all 8 episodes). It's pure fights with fast editing and commentary I made the thumbnail and would love honest feedback before I publish
What I was going for:
- Big, bold text with a "ONE VS EVERYONE" hook to show the underdog-vs-crowd story
- A bruised, bloodied character with a crowd behind him for emotion
- A small "ALL FIGHTS" tag in the corner to show what the video is
What I'm unsure about:
- Is the text readable at small mobile sizes?
- Is "ALL FIGHTS" too small or too hidden in the corner?
- Is the image too blurry or dark? Would a sharper or brighter frame work better?
- Would you click this? If not, what would make you click?
I'm open to blunt criticism Thanks in advance!

[YouTube Analytics] My 1st Long-Form Video Hit 1.9K Views — Now My 3rd Has 43 Views After 28 Hours. What Changed?
I’ve uploaded 3 long-form videos on my channel so far, and I’m trying to understand what happened to the reach.
My first video got around 1.9K views, but since then the reach has dropped significantly. My latest video has only 43 views after 1 day and 2 hours, despite getting 8 likes and 6 comments.
The channel focuses on personal/self-reflective long-form content around things like feeling stuck, discipline, purpose, self-improvement, and figuring life out.
I’m trying to understand whether this is simply normal for a new channel or if I’m doing something wrong with the content, topic selection, title/thumbnail, or audience targeting.
A few things I’d especially appreciate feedback on:
Why could impressions/reach drop this sharply after the first video?
Does the latest title/thumbnail seem like something YouTube viewers would click?
Is the niche too broad or unclear?
Could YouTube still be figuring out my audience after only 3 videos?
Which Analytics metrics should I look at to identify the actual problem?
Has anyone experienced a similar pattern on a new channel?
I’m not expecting the channel to blow up immediately—I mainly want to understand what the data is telling me and what I should improve before uploading more videos.
