Alternative Rock/Post-punk track, going for some unpolished sounds to heavily contrast the many inhuman songs out there right now. Feedback very welcome (for this one and to take with me for the next track)

This track has been on my harddrive for ages so I decided to finally finish it and publish. The first version was full of long winding guitar solos and went on for ages. I decided to compress it into a 3:40 minute track to make the individual variations shine more.

I really tried to keep the polish down. Not in the mix nescessarily but I did refrain from editing the raw recordings too much to kind of keep a realistic vibe all around the track.

I'm really curious for feedback because I'd like to continue down this road and evolve while still releasing track by track.

Thanks!

Dark ambient track I wrote in one sitting — looking for people who connect with this kind of sound

I've been making ambient/experimental music for 7 years now — started at 14, I'm 21 today. This new track came together almost on its own, the idea just hit me out of nowhere and I followed it without overthinking the structure.

It sits in that dark, melancholic ambient space — slow, textured, atmospheric. This is also the first thing I'm releasing completely independently, no label this time, just me handling everything from the sound to getting it out into the world.

Drops July 3rd on all platforms. If this is your kind of sound, following on Spotify would genuinely mean a lot — I'm a young artist building an audience from scratch after 7 years of just making music quietly on my own, and every person who sticks around makes a real difference at this stage.

Pre-save link below if you want to catch it on release day. Would love to hear what you think once it's out.

Do you guys actually know what to do with your stats?

I keep checking my streams, views, which songs did better etc. but half the time I’m just like… okay, now what!??? Like, have your stats ever actually helped you figure out what to do next or why one song did better than another? Just curious how other indie artists deal with this.

Vegas No.8 - Partycrasher

Hey everyone,

After a 3-year break, I was just fed up with the polished, sterile unit-sound on streaming platforms. So I went 100% DIY on this new track.

I wanted that raw '80s/'90s alternative grit back—where a mix actually breathes and you can hear human mistakes. A curator just told me it blends a heavy underground bassline with a melodic hook, which pretty much nails what I was going for.

The song is an underdog story about a bunch of nerds crashing their bully's party. The hand-drawn artwork (yes, that’s a cow in a trashed living room) is a deliberate homage to old underground/post-punk covers.

Check out the vibe and let me know what you think. Always happy to chat about the production side!

Cheers Meik

Free codes in celebration of album's 30th anniversary🎊

Our debut album "The Scapegoat's Agony" turned 30 last November so we are giving away some free codes to celebrate this anniversary just a little bit longer🙂:

https://comabeach.bandcamp.com/album/the-scapegoats-agony

The album title "The Scapegoat's Agony" is an allusion to the play "Waiting for Godot" by Irish playwright and novelist Samuel Beckett and points towards the – for the most part – painful and excruciating emotional odyssey of the unnamed antihero.

Our musical influences range from Sex Pistols, Ramones, Hüsker Dü, Joy Division, The Cure, The Jesus and Mary Chain to Guns N' Roses, Therapy? and Bad Religion, with our songs frequently straddling the line between punk rock and alternative rock.

New to mixing/production looking for some advice to improve

Hi

I am quite passionate about music production and wanted to use my week off work to sort of play around in logic pro. But what i made sounds dull, out of tune (blame my singing for that one) and just closed if that makes sense. It lacks the brightness and spark that most pop songs have.

Could you spare 3 mins and listen please? If there's anything to do please advise it would truly mean a lot. Also please be kind with your proposals, i'm an absolute beginner at production.

Thank you so much

Solo Pop Punk Project- New Song Release

Hi all, first time posting in this thread so hopefully I'm following all the rules. I'm a Denver based musician in the process of releasing a 5 song EP and just dropped my second song today. It's a solo project I've been working at for the last year. I hired a drummer on Fiverr and a buddy mixes it all for me. Besides that everything else (for better or worse) is me. I'd love some feedback if anyone is willing to listen. Also drop a link to one of your own songs as I'm always on the lookout for new music!
