1080p vs. 4K
When I add movies to the watchlist in 4k, and the movie is also available as 1080p, the 1080p version is always automatically added to the watchlist!?
Can you set this somewhere?

Can you add a fall back option to play trailers and have it open to YouTube or Apple TV app. as of right now I just hold the Siri and say play trailer for name of movie and watch it that way but this bugs me that it works on other 3rd party apps and not infuse. This problem is on iPhone, iPad, apple tv, and Mac I am a pro user and thought this is one of the advantages of having pro but it does not help when it does not work.
Am I missing something or is there no auto refresh? Specifically for the Apple TV app. I have the Apple TV app hooked up to a shared location and it doesn't seem to auto refresh. I have to go into the settings and manually refresh so it'll load my new content.
Is there a setting I'm missing that someone can help me with?
Infuse 8.4.8 is now available! 👏

This feature allows you to set primary and secondary addresses for your Emby/Jellyfin servers as well as non-media server connections such as WebDAV, SMB, etc… This can be useful if you need to use different addresses to connect locally vs remotely, or have other needs.
Multiple addresses can be added and can be enabled/disabled by checking/unchecking them in the list. When connecting, Infuse will attempt to connect to the checked endpoints in order until it gets a successful connection.
You can access this screen by editing the saved connection or by long-pressing on the server icon in the Files section (or Apple TV Home Screen).
The Criterion Blu-Ray of Parasite has a cut of the film in black & white alongside the standard theatrical cut. Infuse sees that both files are versions of the same film but only distinguishes by their resolution - 1080p for both versions. Does anyone know how to fix this so that the versions read something like 'Theatrical' and 'Black & White?'
The files are named as follows.
Parasite (2019) {edition-Theatrical Cut}.mkv
Parasite (2019) {edition-Black & White}.mkv
Hello. I’m just wondering why Plex seems to give me the Dolby Vision tag on my tv but Infuse always uses HDR. I thought Infuse was supposed to play everything. I’m using Apple TV on a LG C9. I have DV turned on in Infuse.
Hi r/infusevideoplayer!
We’re excited to introduce this new official Firecore account. We’ve been following the conversations here and really appreciate the time people take to share feedback, report issues, suggest new features, and help other Infuse users get the most out of the app.
Our goal with this account is to be a bit more present in the community. We’ll pop in when we can to answer questions, clarify how things work, share helpful context, and better understand what matters most to Infuse users.
A few quick notes:
Most of all, thank you for being part of the Infuse community. Whether you’ve been using Infuse for years or just discovered it recently, your feedback genuinely helps shape the app.
Looking forward to chatting with you all.

I have been using the Airflow app to stream MKV files to my Apple TV until the latest macOS update broke the app and it's clear that the developer is not willing to maintain it...
Would Infuse PRO allow me to stream MKV files from my Mac to the Apple TV without having to mirror the screen? How is the performance? AirFlow was extremely efficient and high quality.
Hi! I have a flight in a few hours, and I've gotten my movies ready and the srt files, but I can't really figure out how to add them on the movie I'm watching. Can anybody help? I've never used infuse before, sorry if this question comes off as a bit dumb

I feel like the Home Screen UI is starting to fall behind compared to some other apps.
Hi Infuse team,
First of all, thank you for building such an amazing app. Infuse is, without question, my favorite media library application, and the one I use to organize all of my movies.
That said, there’s one reason I often end up using Moon Player instead of Infuse on my Apple Vision Pro.
Are there any plans to add support for:
Native playback of 3D movies directly from network libraries (SMB, WebDAV, FTP, Jellyfin, Plex, etc.)?
Real-time 2D-to-3D conversion, similar to what Moon Player offers?
Moon Player’s AI 2D-to-3D conversion works surprisingly well, and being able to watch 3D movies directly from my media server is a huge advantage.
I genuinely find it surprising that Infuse—arguably the most polished and feature-rich media player available—is still missing these capabilities. Everything else about Infuse is so far ahead of the competition that I would love to make it my only video player on Vision Pro.
Are these features on your roadmap? I know many Apple Vision Pro users would love to see them.
Thanks again for all your incredible work!
I thought I was going crazy until I checked again. On one of my Apple TVs the menus when selecting options are highlighted/show in orange. On my other Apple TV they are in just a faded whiteish highlight and it is harder to sometime see what you have selected.
Is this a menu option I have somehow managed to turn on/change OR is it a difference in the AppleTVs etc.
Hey there,
My setup is the Fusion app using the Infuse PRO video player (because of the 5.1 surround sound).
Before, I can’t explain why since I changed nothing, I had an option to skip the episodes Intro as well as to Go to next episode.
I have all those things turned on in fusion as well as in Infuse. But I don’t know why they are not working.
Why is that happening? Also I heard of an add on for that, is it needed?
Also, the episodes stop automatically checking as “Watched”, I have to do it manually, why? They do mark in Trakt but not in Fusion.
Thanks!
Having trouble with Dolby Vision lip-sync?
I’ve been running into an issue lately where Dolby Vision video content will sporadically refuse to sync audio with my Apple TV device. (Sony Bravia 8 + HT-A7000)
I’ve tried different methods including Infuse’s manual Delay offset settings but results were terrible. Audio had to be adjusted multiple times and would never keep long, before going out of sync again.
I found a fix though!
If you are watching Dolby Vision content do this instead:
I usually have this on all the time, but for some reason flipping it off and back on seemed to refresh and kick everything into sync again. And, it will STAY during the full watch session.
I spent way too many hours trying to solve this. Hope this helps whoever needs it. Enjoy your home theatre! 👍
Moving into my own place and planning on setting up a server on a 7th gen thinkpad x1 using ubuntu. I will primarily doing playback on Apple devices and want to be able to access media outside of home. I want to play 4K DV remuxes along with more typical format media.
What’s the best way to accomplish this? SMB or something else like Jellyfin?
This has been an on going issue for well over a year now.
When we are watching a movie about midway through the next movie in the list will just randomly start playing.
It usually will happen around 1.5hrs into a film and not something we have noticed while watching tv shows.
I’m running a previous gen ATV 4k with the latest versions of tvOS and infuse. Infuse is playing my plex server and that is also fully updated.
Has anyone else run into this issue and if so has there been a resolve found.
I’ve scoured the community forums and couldn’t find anyone else having the issue.
I have Infuse working well with my media server which runs Jellyfin (a small server on my home LAN). For various reasons, some of the content on my server has ended up being 4K (even though I didn't want it to be; I don't have a 4K TV), and some is encoded in AV1. The Apple TV HD really struggles to play either of these in Infuse. The videos stutter, are very choppy, etc. That's not unexpected given the Apple TV HD isn't meant to support 4K or AV1.
I have hardware transcoding working and set up on the server. Is there anyway to make Infuse use that or more gracefully handle resolutions and formats that are not well-supported by the hardware it's running on? The longer-term solution is probably to upgrade to better hardware (on the client side, i.e. to a recent Apple TV 4K, etc.), but in the absence of that, is there anything besides re-encoding server side into more compatible resolutions and formats that can be done?
