Basic sketch for an idea I had for a Musk Ox + new sigil

I don't remember exactly why I was thinking about the MuskOx but i was and I read they got thier name cause they tend to smell (thus the name), and so I made a *SUPER ROUGH draft of what it could look like in game. The new sigil would make it so the card that attacks it is frozen for a turn, and so can't attack but can take damage (like the pokemon frozen effect) called "Icey Touch"

*not trying to be hard on myself, I only made a sketch of both the idea anf custom sigil, so it is not like my other stuff i would consider "done". I still wanted to share my idea though

chapter 2 fights are so boring and unfair

Most of the time i won't draw the one card I need to actually start playing, and then i wait turn after turn with my dick in my hand until i die like a jackass. I'm suprised this was made by the same guy as chapter one, this is unplayably boring, unplayably ugly looking, unplayably dull. I get that it's supposed to be a shitty video game, but why, though? Why can't it look halfway decent or have a mildly fun gameplay loop. it's so intuitive that i was always surprised when i won a fight instead of relieved. Like I'd just shrug and go to the next mini boss standing around like king of the hill

edit: okay okay you guys were right it does get better once you mix up your deck. no where near as fun as ch 1 but pretty satisfying

Anybody know what this is?

I took different photos this time so that you wouldn't question why I posted so many.

It's really just because I'm worried that whatever photo I make won't be good enough.

just “beat” act 1

so i just “beat” act 1 for the first time (after 12+ deaths mind you 😭), and i didn’t realize you need to get the film roll before you’re able to continue to act 2… so now i have to replay all of act 1 😭 feels bad, i barely even beat act 1 the first time >.<

I started making a full deck of animals

So far, 24 cards are ready, my goal is to create the entire deck, I draw each card by hand, then laminate it

Tattoo of Cat

Got this at Hopeless Tattoo in Vancouver WA, (which has won best tattoo shop in our city several years). I'm sorry that I don't remember the artist's name :(

It's a little hard to see, but they have a small negative space line for the eyes and the back legs. Anything thin, especially negative space is going to be hard to see and blur out eventually, so I want to say this is not a mistake by the artist, just inherent to the medium! I am very happy the artist convinced me to add color, because I was set on only having pure black tattoos. The grey for the blood background and the blood and heart being red makes it sooo much better. I am very happy with this tattoo <3 It's 1-2 years old

Expie In Inscyption (+review of game)

While Leshy is somewhere, Expies are playing with his cards. This fluffy gray guy (Expie) is from game Casualties Unknown. Art is made by me :)

Now comes my reviewing part (WARNING: SPOILERS!!!):

I completed Inscryption on 100% (including Kaycee Mod). It took me around 30 hours. I really enjoyed the game and it is in my top 10 favourite games. I will split my experience in 4 parts to tell what I liked and what I didn't liked about each part.

Act 1:

>!In my opinion best Act of the game. I liked everything about it. All 3 bosses have their own ost and strategy. You can feel atmosphere of the game. Cards are unique and you can build a lot of combos. The events on map are also greats. And how story progresses is excellent (with talking cards and standing up from table)!<

>!My least favourite boss was Trapper/Hunter. I like his second phase but first phase is so annoying with these frogtraps. The last boss was also epic. Everything was so dark and intense. I think I beated Leshy with Mantis God strategy (which is my second favourite strategy to play). But my favourite card combo are ants. I like their unique mechanic of increasing shared damage.!<

>!The Game Over is also made interesting that you make your own card from you deck cards. I never saw something like that. The puzzles I found okay. Some of them were hard but possible. I think only downside of Act 1 is that it is too short.!<

Act2:

>!Act2 is my least favourite part of the game. I found it most difficult and grindy. In game character is walking slow what annoyed me when I forgot something on other side of the map (like completing achievements).!<

>!I chose Grimora at start because I liked the idea of having skeleton deck. I would say Act 2 comparing to Act 1 is okay/mid. There isn't much what to say. Only I can say that I had difficulties with beating Trader in Leshy's house. From there it was easy when I combined skeleton deck with animal deck.!<

>!Out of all bosses was Grimora the most boring one. And last thing that I want to mention in this Act is that I loved the STIMULATION wizard!<

Act3

>!I think Act 3 is the best ending of the game. If game would end on Act 2 I would be disappointed. At first I found robot cards with energy cost hard at first. But after time I got used to it. I loved all 4 bosses and their unique mechanics.!<

>!My favourite bosses were Archivist and Golly. I love when games use your files or when they add friends from steam into game. My favourite card was STIMULATION wizard who I fully upgraded. The puzzles in this Act were hard for me (maybe I'm dumb). I needed internet guide for last puzzles!<

>!At this point I should tell about Finale/Ending. And honestly... It was very well done especially Leshy part (I didn't care about Grimora or Magnificus). That ambient in background.. Our old card deck which won Leshy.. How Leshy felt nostalgic and asked to continue to play with him when he already lost.. His comments which weren't filled with negativity.. And hand shake at the end. It is absolute cinema. At the end I was already tearing up and I didn't want to leave him. But ending was shocking for me that Luke was shot.!<

>!Achievements until Act 3 are well done. As a person who likes completing Achievements I can agree.!<

Kaycee Mod:

>!I'm thankful for devs that they made Act 1 as rogue like. I liked completing most of the challenges . With starter packs it is bit different. I think only like 4 starter decks are playable and fun. And other part is only for masochists and achievements. My favourite starter pack were ants (I think you could guess it). But later on I used Mantis God starter pack.!<

>!There are only 2 things I don't like in Kaycee Mod. First thing is the Skull Storm achievement. I hated to play on all challenges. I spent hours and was hopeless. I was already ready to use cheats but I didn't. And in accident I beat it with Mantis God who had bifurcated strike and copy of itsef from totem.!<

>!Second thing is my personal little problem. I want to make my cards after I lose. But instead I just loose.!<

>!I would say the story of the game is okay and interesting. And for the most part understandable. This is why I liked it.!<

Last Words:

I got to know this game already 4 years ago from youtuber named Vitec Play (russian speaking youtuber) but forgot about it. Back then I didn't had laptop to play video games that I wanted and now I completed it. I feel bit nostalgic about time that I was smaller and I wanted to play this game. How I facepalmed when youtuber misplaced cards. Now I misplaced my cards in game.

To those who are unsure about buying this game. Buy it and give it a try. For that exists refund if you really don't like it. The game is now on summersale and has 60% discount (costs 7,99€). It isn't so expensive.

Ant that's it. I hoped you enjoyed bit my personal review and my art. I liked making it. Have a good day and don't eat worm rings at dinner :)

New Player, Is it supposed to be this hard?

So, I'm not new to card games, and I barely started this game. I like it so far, but then I came across a bunch of these bears on like the third fight so far. Is this supposed to be a scripted loss or something?

I genuinely couldn't wrap my head around this. I had a winning turn, I think, because I placed down a bear and wolf, but then a bunch of these bears appeared out of nowhere 😭

Does your wooden idol from act 1 carry over to act 2?

In act 2 this is my character but I remember it being a different character when I played this game a while ago, is it consistent with the wooden version of the player on act 1? Like when you die you play as a different wooden character?

Update on Bear wall as a new player

Marking this as a spoiler since I'm not sure this counts as one.

Just wanted to do an update. Thank you all for letting me know that the early battle was a scripted loss. I figured that soon after I finished the battle with the eye creature. (Not sure if it has a proper name)

I was able to get some footage from overwolf, so here is how I played that fight. I'm enjoying the game so far so please don't take my last post as negative, I was just surprised and thought it was a skill issue on my part lol.
