Why did Ireland, England and India not play a T20 triangular instead of separate series ?

Sports journalists mention jeopardy a lot these days. Having something on the line always makes for a more interesting game and more eyeballs.

Instead of playing a 2 game and 5 game series, the three teams could have simply played a 6 game triangular, followed by a final. Ireland’s victories would have elevated the India-England games past the usual boring bilateral formality games.

I am quite certain that such a triangular series will secure higher broadcast deals than bilateral series.

What's next for Irish cricket, expectations after they won series against india?

I think they deserves more matches against full members just like afg, maybe full fledged india tour in future, exciting times ahead as an Irish cricket fan, share your thoughts.

Well Played Ireland!! 0-2 Whitewash

As an Indian fan, I have to admit that Ireland outplayed us in every department be it batting, bowling, or fielding. I genuinely have no words for how we ended up losing the series 0–2 despite having what was effectively our full-strength T20 side. Credit where it's due: Ireland were the better team throughout and deserved the series.

It was a great day for Irish cricket, while for us it was another reminder that overconfidence, poor tactics, and sloppy execution can cost even the strongest teams.

And of course... another unwanted record added in the GG era. 🥰

Lads.. we did it! We did the impossible! We beat India by 1 run to win the series. I have no words.

A bit overwhelmed right now. As I said in a post after our first win, I’m a former Indian citizen and now proper Cork bai! Long time cricket fan, and still an Indian cricket fan. But this moment right here, I really don’t have the words to express my joy!

Dropping Paul Sterling and changing captains has worked. I sincerely hope this is a sign of greater and better things to come.

Pints of Beamish for everyone!

Was Ireland's series win/whitewash vs India even more unexpected than NEW zealands test series win in India

Because India from since last 2 years has been one of the most destructive, virtually unbeatable, and double world champions consecutively that defeating them once feels like big achievement, but ire literally whitewashed them being not top10 ranked team defeating no1 ranked world champion team even with new captain
