Hello! Im currently working on an iron lung minecraft mod that focuses on exploration, survival and horror.
Its going to have custom mobs, world gen and even lore.
The idea is to have a separate story that theoretically *could* exist in the same universe as the movie and game. I will leave it up to the players to decide if its headcanon worthy or AU worthy.
The general gameplay loop vibe is planned on being similar to that of subnautica, but with blood.
Anyway, the reason im making this post aside from checking of there is any intrest in a mod like this is to ask:
What are some things you really want (or really dont want) to see in this mod?
I just watched Markiplier's playthrough of Iron Lung on YouTube and clips of the movie's monster and immediately named her since she doesn't have a canon name. My headcanon nickname for her is Maurice because of a video I watched about the Arthropod Phobia Expansion horror mod for Minecraft, where the YouTuber Arox named The Tormenter Maurice because it fit its demonic appearance. I thought the same with Iron Lung's monster, so I named her that too.
Edit: I decided to call her Ellie since it fits better then Maurice.
After watching Iron Lung, I'm thinking of dressing up similarly to Simon, but with half of my body having turned half-fish, like what happened to him at the end of the movie. I might even have a tail because of how much I adore the fan art of Simon being half-fish with a cute fishy tail <3
Its finally done!
Iron Lung The Board Game (Fan Game) is printed and finished.
To be clear, this is not official in any way, and is only a fan made (playable) piece of art.
Ever since the announcement of u/markiplier's Iron lung, I wanted to do fan art. Then, with the trailers and the eventual movie, the amount of style and artistry only exacerbated it. I am not a traditional artist by any means but one thing I can do is make board games.
I have played this game with friends, family and even taken it to GenCon to played it there. It is a fun experience, mimicking a lot of the themes and feelings from the movie as you navigate blind with hidden movement, physically marking on a map as a power hungry Leviathan hunts you down.
This is my Fan Art and love letter to Mark and his phenomenal work on the movie. Fantastic job u/markiplier and crew for making such a fun movie. I hope you see this and appreciate the hippieness and excitement you have brought into the world.
And uh... I'm not overly enthused. It isn't black as it was depicted, the white hue behind the lettering is extremely muted, and there are small seam gaps all the way down because their injection mold is two halves instead of one piece.
The only positive thing I can say is the insert is one entire piece, including the bottom, unlike the printable file, so it'd be easy to clean. That and it actually is food safe since it's mold injectioned plastic (PLA is not food safe, nor is the Krylon I use to get that high gloss finish like she just came out of the ocean!).
I'm so disappointed I waited over half the year for this, I may return it. 🥲
Shameless plug, but even though these are sold out, my painted buckets never will. 💕 All I ask is a little extra from retail price ($105 shipped to the US, usually $150 international) for the extra attention to detail and your understanding that they're painted by hand and take some time. 🥰
So will there ever be more Iron Lung content as in a another game I would think movie but I’m not sure if they would make a sequel to it
Got my official Regal Iron Lung popcorn bucket today! I love it Mark these turned out so cool! ❤️🩸 I usually only buy popcorn buckets for movies that were worth it and yours definitely was! This is going up on my shelf with my other popcorn bucket collection!
Am I being over dramatic? My poster finally came but its got some cosmetic dings and where the age rating is looks like theres been a print issue, look around the edge where the text is white vs in the middle where its greyish. I'm just not sure whether its worth raising or not
couldn’t finish a piece today, so I sketched for an hour of convict instead lol
Nervous to post even though I double checked with a mod lol but here we go…
I have been hosting an iron lung fanzine over the last few months, and we have officially finished our art period and we are now in the formatting stage! In early September bundled and pricing will be discussed and finalized with our investor/financial mod before it will be placed up for preorder!
It will be a physical hardcover zine available for purchase, fourteen different merchandise items, and a digital music album! Obviously along with a digital version of the zine! We have over 40 lovely contributors who have made amazing pieces, and myself and our mods are hard at work on final details!
Right now, we are posting creator spotlights everyday while we work on formatting, and soon our covers will be revealed along with our merch items!
Our finance head, Bluewolfangel, will be the one listing the zine for preorder on their website, and in order for the zine to get funded, we’d need to hit a minimum amount of orders (the number of which will be stated in her site once we get to that stage!).
So, in short, if you’d like a ton of cool physical— or digital— iron lung fan merch, you can follow us along on our Twitter (@theironlungzine) and soon, also promoted on Blue’s Twitter (@BlueWolfAngel28)! We hope we can finance it and make a ton of iron lung fans happy :) our goal at the moment is to try and get everyday ready within September, at the latest October!
Ah well. At least it’s got character and a story right? Lol. Thank you to Mark and his team for sending these out anyway despite the “defects” :)
Made this when I went pottery painting with friends a bit ago. Was my first time and took about 3 hours but I really love how it turned out!
