What is your favorite armor from each type of media: Comics, Movies, Cartoons, and Video Games? (Model 2 image is from both edition of the Iron Manual, Mark 42 image is from the Iron Man 3 promotional material)

These are my four picks for each media and I'll tell you why:

Comics: Model 2. For the little 60s Iron Man I've read, this armor always sparks to me. I love the horns and the little gold rectangle on the belt, because of how different it is from most armors. I like how the lack of repulsors(as the Model 3 was the first armor with repulsors) allowed Tony to use tons of gadgets instead of just defaulting to shooting things. This armor is basically a swiss army knife for Superheroes.

Movies: Mark 42. I have fond memories of this suit growing up when Iron Man 3 was coming out and the toys and promotional artwork are so nostalgic to me alongside that mobile game. I love the extra gold on the armor, especially because most armors in the movies after this barely have that much. It looks sharp, shiny, and it's not super functional due to being a prototype. This armor encapsulates my younger years in a way that'll make this armor live in my heart forever

Cartoons: Earth's Mightiest Heroes Mark 7. I love this cartoon so naturally I love the suit too. It's a neat design combo between the old comic armors and the (at the time) new movie armors that millions of people around the world were mostly familiar with. This armor pairs well with its Tony Stark also being a combo between MCU Iron Man and 616 Iron Man in some ways.

Video Games: Impulse Armor. This armor is from Iron Man VR, one of my favorite games of all time. I love customizing this thing with the color scheme and weapons I want, making this armor my own personal customizable machine of heroism. I find the game fun and I got used to the armor(especially the arms) after several hours of game time and replays. I like how the arms don't have shoulder pads and I think the helmet looks nice.

Who is Tony's best Love Interest?

aside from MCU I know he's been with Madame Masque, Gamora, and Emma Frost, i don't know anyone else.

and I think Janet/Wasp in alt timelines.

What felt the most natural and healthy in your opinion? Are there better options that have never been explored?

What are your thoughts on Marc Worden's Iron Man voice?

He voices Iron Man in Ultimate Avengers: The Movie, Ultimate Avengers II: Rise of the Panther, The Invincible Iron Man, The Avengers vs A.I.M. and the Planet Hulk Animated Movie.

For me, I always considered Marc's voice to be the most "fitting" voice the character has ever had. While who's voice I hear in my hear when I read comics does change, I always thought his voice fit the 20th Century and 2000s Comics perfectly. I think Eric Loomis and Josh Keaton fit modern Iron Man but when I read classic Iron Man, my mind usually hears Marc's voice instead.

Here's some clips if you've never seen any of the projects he was in:

My Iron Man-inspired PC fires a repulsor by voice command

I made this custom PC and added a repulsor sequence that activates by voice command.

Sound on for the actual voice command and effects.

Specs are 9070 XT for now(planning to upgrade to a 5090), Ryzen 9 9950X3D, 64GB RAM, X870E board, 1000W-class Platinum PSU, full custom water-cooling, and a Hi-Fi audio system and a full aluminum alloy body

Curious what you guys think.

Favorite super niche armor. The unnamed armor from Ultimate Comics Ultimates #28-30

Used in the final arc of the final 1610 OG Ultimates comic, this armor was piloted by the AI consciousness after the Maker killed 1610 Tony. It never given a number nor a name which is weird coming how it the armor where Tony once again defeat the Maker once again

I like the design with the standard MCU armor but with the addition of the large pauldron, the metallic gray for the coils to look like muscles. Also just the fact that it a hollow armor it can break apart and reassemble itself

Penguing Random House has updated their listings for August's Queen in Black: Defenders of Light and Dark #2 to include a new variant cover by Paco Diaz featuring Iron Man in his brand-new Black Metal Armor which was first teased last March.

Following a small peek at the new suit in red-and-gold in the cover for Queen in Black #5, this new variant depicts the armor in all the obsidian glory its name sugests. Queen in Black: Defenders of Light and Dark #2 comes out on August 19 from writer Tom Waltz and artist Zé Carlos.

We were too hard on the Cantwell run.

I have recently been rereading Chris Cantwell's Iron Man run and I have to say it has a lot of ups and a lot of downs but we have been too quick to dismiss it as all bad. The comic has some genuinely great moments and great action, particularly during the space arc. I have to also add the the art is great and pretty consistent.

Tony's characterization was especially criticized, but I realized that every time Tony is out of character it is when he's with Patsy. She's the problem, it's as simple as that. The parts where Tony isn't with her show him as determined, resourceful, relentless and strong. We also get Tony's thoughts through the book, which is an aspect of classic Iron Man which we haven't gotten as much recently.

I'm not saying that the run was perfect, but I'm going to give Cantwell some credit. Overall I'd say it's pretty good, and much better than what we've been saying it was.

Screencaps are from Iron Man 2020 #12 and #21.

Tony Stark ADHD

Does anyone else think that Tony has ADHD?

The MCU portrayal of Tony lends more into the hyperactive side of this theory: he’s constantly on the move, “hyperverbal”, impulsive etc.

In the comics though, he struggles with alcoholism in a more servere way the films potray, which is not necessarily a definining trait of ADHD, but is more common with people who do have it. He also uses his wealth and charm to deflect from his insecurities, which could be a high level of masking.

Happy 4th of July. Are there any canonical views with regards to how Tony Stark sees USA? Is he a fierce patriotic, or does he havs complicated views since he's also seen the dark side of the country, like power hungry capitalists and greedy politicians? (Art by Adi Granov)

Iron-Man Rise of technovore, is painfully a cash grab film for marvels whole cash grab anime tie in. But it really proved something good that Iron-Man works perfectly in an anime and allows for some of the most detailed and visually amazing stuff ive seen for him.

Like Iron-Man is just so perfect for anime animation with how much detail this film pours into all the armor mechanics. I just love how everything is designed.
