When to expect offer to be sent out for Fall 2026? I submitted Loan Request, just curious when they tend to respond to these things.
Thanks in advance!
Currently taking English 111 online and just have a question - do you have to do the research theme check ins? They aren’t worth anything and just take so much of my time to type out the responses. I have already read all of the closed research theme readings for the class I just am finding it such a waste of time to do the check ins if they aren’t for a grade but don’t want to get in trouble for not doing them.
I just checked my financial aid and could no longer see the Frank O’Bannon award for fall 2026 and spring 2027. Is this normal??
i’m 26 years old and i really want to be a nurse my goal is to eventually at some point become an NP. up until literally 30 mins ago i was fully going to apply to only the RN program. my problem is that i am very financially unstable and struggle to survive by myself as is. so my question is more so looking for advice from anyone who has finished the program for either. would it be smarter to do LPN first to get into the field faster and then bridge to RN while i’m getting paid decent? that’s really my only reason for leaning toward LPN because i’ll be able to make money faster.
Before I reach out to the financial aid office I want to make sure that I’m not overreacting. A week ago I sent in a SAP appeal due to pregnancy with complications, I’ve since given birth and am ready to get back into classes. Under my financial aid tab there used to be a pop-up that showed my appeal was processing and the date that it was last updated. That disappeared yesterday and I assumed it has been approved because I figured it would’ve told me it was denied if that was the case. I went ahead and registered for fall classes but under my account balance it says that I owe the same amount after aid, implying that there isn’t any. My financial aid tab says that no actions are required currently and there is no word of the appeal or termination status unless I specifically go to the SAP category but fall 2026 isn’t added yet so it still says termination for Summer 2026. Is it safe to assume it was denied, or is this typical?
asking for help from my advisor has been a challenge in the past. my first semester, he wpuld send me links that lead me to help pages about a week after emailing, and not giving me any encouragement. just very empty and blunt responses. i know they have a lot of students to cover BUT now that i've been on the deans list twice and have a 4.0, now im answered immediately and with paragraphs of how i should maintain confidence in my abilities.
i don't contact him often, but when i do, i now notice it seems that the responses i get are based on my record.
idk just thinking out loud. i'm glad im getting the words of encouragement that i need, but that would've helped a lot more my first year when i was high-key really struggling.
hey do you guys know if the test questions are different for each time slot, or do they give the same tests for all students who are taking online tests
I haven’t gotten my federal direct loan yet for the summer. Is this normal? I got my financial aid refund already!
Hey, guys!
May be a dumb question but it’s been bothering me.
I know the imaging program is extremely hard to get into. I’ve read posts of students with 4.0 GPAs and perfect grades still not being accepted. This is making me nervous. I have a 3.8 currently, and I have nearly a decade of medical experience to pad my application. But I’m still worried. I seen a lot of people saying they’re waitlisted, but it takes a year to reapply, and it’s not even guaranteed you’ll get in then. I’m 29 years old and have a family, I honestly do not have the time to wait an extra year or two or three to get into a career, plus the additional time to get the certification itself anyways.
My backup plan is respiratory therapy. I hear that it’s easier to get into, and it was actually my first choice about 4 years ago that I didn’t pursue.
But I’m also worried I will apply for both, get waitlisted for imaging, get accepted for respiratory, then get accepted for radiology later. I like the idea of both of them, I just preferred rad tech over respiratory because of all the modalities, I feel I’m less likely to experience burnout.
I’m not sure what to do. Do you all have any experience in either or these or advice that could maybe apply to my situation?
I know the use of AI is frowned upon in some classes. I use it to fix grammar mistakes and to fix my wording to sound more professional or smart. But, i've learned that some of these apps (like grammarly) still set off AI, even if you tweak with things or only use it for specific wording. How can i avoid that? I've checked my assignment for AI through 2 sites and got the green for being human. i used a free demo of turnitin and it said it was all AI, which it was not. I've tried using different words and switching different things but it still throws it off. This is for a psych paper, essay for my midterm. I need help lol.
i’m reading yall posts saying yall did & im feeling like im the only one who didn’t 😂😂🫤 im jealous like mine never took this dang on long im so IRRITATED.
At the beginning of this week I was told that a paper was flagged as being 100% AI when it was 100% NOT and when I did not have grammarly installed. I have no idea why it was flagged as AI. My best guess is that I wrote it all in one sitting, required very little editing (as I knew exactly what I was talking about and I'm a very strong writer), and it didn't require source citation... still took 45 minutes to write. It was a very short, easy paper about something I am very knowledgeable about (the juvenile justice system... I work at DCS as a paralegal).
I gave my professor permissions for editing privileges on the Google document and sent him a backdraft video of it being drafted immediately after I was told that it was flagged as 100% AI and I have heard nothing back. It's been five days since I was told that my paper was flagged as 100% AI and over a week since I've submitted it. My professor (who teaches two different classes I'm in) has graded everything else I've done and given me perfect scores. I've been an anxious mess all week because of this and I'm super frustrated.
What do I do? What happens now? Please ease my mind or give me some insight!

Any study tips for microbiology before my exam?
At this point I’m mostly doing review and not learning any new concepts but because it’s so much content I don’t really know where to spend most of my time. My professor gives us a study guide for each chapter and I’ve been working through those and reviewing old quizzes
Oh also, I’m taking it at the anderson campus with mark Robbin’s if anyone has taken his class before
I’m scheduled to take the Midterm on July 6 and I am superrr nervous :/ Does anyone have any tips or advice on what to study? Any Quizlet flashcards that would help? Thank you so much :))
