Just just for everyone if someone knows please help me outttt!!!!!
Can someone please explain this to me because I genuinely don’t get it—why are families so damn proud of a girl’s virginity? 😭
Like, how did something so personal somehow become a family achievement?
Why is a girl’s body treated like a family’s reputation project? “Hamari beti…” okay, but WHY does her virginity have anything to do with your honour?
A girl can study, build a career, create something of her own, support her family, be kind, independent, talented, successful—and somehow society will still be more interested in whether she’s a virgin. 💀
And the funniest part?
The same society that says “ladki ghar ki izzat hoti hai” rarely asks why that “izzat” is constantly placed on her body instead of her character.
Why is her purity considered a family’s pride, but her autonomy is considered rebellion?
Why is a girl expected to protect a “family honour” that was never supposed to live between her legs in the first place?
Seriously, society… what exactly are you proud of? Her being a good human being, or your ability to control something that was never yours to control?
