Anyone pursuing B.A. (Hons) in Psychology or B.A. (Hons) Public administration from University Maharani college Jaipur?!
Uhm Hi mahilaz so I just got into Maharani and have a huge dilemma. I'm currently enrolled in BA Psych Hons + English Lit, but my name just cleared in the second list for BA Public Administration Hons.I want to keep solid career options open alongside UPSC, but I've never studied any of these subjects. Can any 2nd/3rd year seniors give me a quick reality check on both options?Syllabus & Workload: Is Pub Ad Hons easier or more boring compared to Psych + Lit? Which department has a more chill daily schedule? The Math Situation: recently I found out that ihave to study maths as too (I suck at maths)so it it like super hard or mangable.Exams: Are semester finals hard in Pub Ad vs. Psych? Do people just crash-study using 5-year papers at the end and clear them fine?Backup Careers: If I drop the UPSC idea later, which degree is actually better for getting quick corporate jobs or good master's options?Extracurriculars: I really want to do basketball and dance. Which department gives better attendance relaxation/waivers for sports and events?
Local Jaipuri guy – who wants to explore the Pink City ?
Hey
Proud local here. Nothing beats sunrise at jal mahal or hawa mahal, samosa at samrat, or sunset from Nahargarh Fort.
This city still makes me smile every day.
If you’re from here or visiting and want to check out the best hidden spots, rooftops, or just grab chai and explore – hit me up. Especially who love a good city adventure 😊
What’s your favorite thing about Jaipur?

Is Jaipur a good and safe city for a couple of students? (MUJ + Private MBBS)
Hey everyone,
I'm joining Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) this year for B.Tech, and my girlfriend is considering joining a private medical college in Jaipur for MBBS. One of the reasons she's choosing Jaipur is because I'll be there too.
Before she finalizes her decision, we wanted some honest opinions from people who actually live or study in Jaipur.
A few things we'd love to know:
- Is Jaipur generally a good city for college students?
- Will she feel safe living there as a female student? How safe is it for commuting, going out with friends, or returning in the evening?
- Is public transport reliable, or is having a bike/car much better?
- How's the overall lifestyle? Cafés, malls, places to hang out, nightlife, etc.
- Do students usually enjoy living there, or does it get boring after a while?
- If we eventually move out of our hostels after a year or two, which areas would you recommend that are safe and have a good student-friendly environment?
- Anything you wish you knew before moving to Jaipur?
We're not planning to live together immediately—we'll most likely stay in our respective hostels initially. We just want to know whether Jaipur is a city where both of us can have a good college experience over the next 4–5 years, and whether she'll genuinely feel comfortable and safe living there.
I dont want her to feel stuck and unsafe because of me we both are from Noida Would really appreciate honest experiences from both locals and student Thanks!
Want a roomate in jaipur please read these whole post to know better
Hi everyone,
I moved to Jaipur about 4-5 months ago. I am currently studying at Vision IAS, preparing for the UPSC exams right after completing my 12th grade. I know some of you may think I should go to a regular college—I actually got selected for DU—but my parents are very restrictive and didn't allow me to join. So, I am currently doing my BA privately.
Because of my parents' strictness since childhood, I haven't really had the chance to make friends. I actually had to fight with them just to be able to come here to Jaipur. I am 17 years old.
A bit about me:
Sports: I love playing badminton.
Fitness: I am planning to join a gym soon to build some muscle, as I am quite skinny right now.
Goals: I am planning to start creating some content.
Interests: I want to travel and explore places in Jaipur and all over India.
What I'm looking for in a roommate:
Someone who loves to travel. An extrovert would be great, but if you are an introvert, we can become extroverts together!
Someone genuine with a pure heart. I feel it can sometimes be difficult to find pure-hearted people.
A buddy who would want to hit the gym with me, maybe play some badminton, and basically just share experiences with each other.
If this sounds like a good fit, please drop a comment or send me a DM!
Doppler Coffee
Doppler Coffee turned out to be another disappointment .The food was below average, the drinks were just average, and while the ambience was decent, the indoor seating was quite uncomfortable. If you're planning to visit because of the hype on social media, I'd honestly recommend skipping it.
