I recently dusted off my childhood PS2 and started picking some classics I missed out on while growing up. Got this from my local retro game store and i’m super stoked, but I’m not sure what to expect. I’ve only heard fantastic things about this series.

I have played Jak 2 in the past, but never past the first 2 hours basically. Im now a few hours in, and an adult, and I realize - this game is so much more polished! So many cutscenes? So long cutscenes? Jak 3 cutscenes always have felt abruptly short and rare to me. In Jak 2 characters actually got to talk.
My biggest issue currently with the game is that flying from one end of Haven City to the other one is even more boring than driving from one end of the desert to the other one in Jak 3. ;D
I decided to do a Jak X, every day look to go with my previous one. This one consists of a black and yellow leather jacket, navy blue gloves, the trademark red goggles, a beige undershirt and black and yellow jeans.
I also grew my goatee out. Just picture it being green lol.
Holy crap, the only way we got a Lost Frontier ride in there was if it was in a 3 way tie with two other rides! I also like how all the rides are flying rides,

Help. Any tips you have. Does it save after you get through the first section or do I need to manage it all in one go?
Been working on getting the original Jak and Daxter trilogy running well on the Thor through a modified Winlator build, using OpenGOAL (the open source decomp, not an emulator). All three games are stable at 60fps now.
Fair warning, this isn't a quick install. You need a PC to do a one-time setup per game (extracting/compiling takes 10+ min each), then copy the result over to the Thor. Figure like an hour or so to get one game going, but once it's set up you never need the PC again.
Tried GameNative, Winnative and GameHub first and both kept crashing/freezing after a while, turned out to be a real bug in the Zink graphics driver they all share. Stock Winlator didn't crash but ran kind of slow (~25-30fps), so that's the one I ended up building on top of, mainly rebuilt box64 from source (changing few lines of code) which got it up to a stable 60.

Will OpenGOAL ever not need AVX anymore? Or will I have to stick with PCSX2? Is there any way to emulate AVX?
