Timing?

So I replaced the head gasket on this 1974 CJ5 with a straight 6 in it. It wasn't a quick process due to kids and life. It's together now but will not start. I have fresh fuel, I know I have spark and I put a new carb on. It will not turn over. I put the first cylinder all the way up (TDC) and pulled the distributor cap. This is where it's sitting and I believe it's wrong. Can anyone help?

Are the tow hooks too much bling for an old CJ?

I don’t mind chrome accents, but really trying to avoid that 50/50 chrome blend that sometimes creeps in. Penny for your thoughts?

School me on a potential CJ7

I’m intrigued. Been looking at this classic Jeep for a while and finally asked the owner about it. He would sell if for 10K which feels like a deal to me. Let me know, this would be a weekend car or short trips.

Here are the specifics that I know so far. Getting more details.

1984 CJ7
Hardtop (included)
5 speed manual (original) transmission
In-line 6 fuel injected motor (less than 20k miles on this transplanted motor)
Updated gears (don’t know specifics)
Fiberglass white panels (not sure if the tub is fiberglass) didn’t see any visible body rust
Original metal hood
Has spare windshield as current is rusted

Rust belt car but need to look underneath more (first glance looked pretty good). Owner says nothing really wrong with it.

Is there anything else I should be asking the owner? Thanks for your help.
