twitch chat ?
anyone else feel like chat has been a bit rude/parasocial recently? I’m in my twenties and have been watching Jenn since her original youtube channel so it’s possible her newer fanbase is just a bit younger now. I find myself only watching VODS because the chat can be a bit much as of the past few months? The whole AI blow up during tattoo simulator, crazy amount of backseat gaming and demanding her attention when Jenn isn’t playing how the viewers want her to, especially in the recent Halloween and Mecca streams. Stream snipping, people just plain out dogging her, or having arguments in chat. Obviously, not Jenn’s fault and I will continue to watch and support, it’s just upsetting sometimes as I like to watch my favorite content creators such as Jenn to destress from work and such and there’s so much negativity in the chat that I can’t ignore. Personally Jenn is the only streamer I watch, as I mainly consume prerecorded content so it’s completely possible this may also just be the environment on Twitch and I’m unaware.
