Hear me out... as a just about 40yo juff, who has never had a social media account, (except for maybe this, and an AIM profile back as a youngin', lol), I just don't get why people are so shitty to eachother. Despite my profile being a few years old, I created it, and then only ever started using it in the last 6 months or so, 98% so for this sub. I've tried branching out and posting on other subs, even ones that are innocuous as fook, but it seems like you get nothing but people responding within frickin' minutes talking nothing but shit. I know, I know, I'm 'old'...and call me a pussy or whatever...but why would people even want to engage with communities just shitting on them and each other constantly? At least here is a good place for the most part, (for obvious reasons, we're family after all), but hell...I guess I'm just not good at, or used to, this shyte apparently? 🤷‍♂️ Lol. Me and my friends were talking kinda loud outside a 7-Eleven because we’re teenagers and dumb, and this woman got out of her car and started yelling at us to shut up because she was trying to talk to her friend. This woman also had juggalo face paint on and me and my brother even complimented it before all this.

I was stupid and told her to “fuck off.”

Then her boyfriend got out of the car with a gun and threatened to kill us.

We immediately left and walked to a nearby college campus and stayed there until my friends got picked up. After that it was just me and my brother waiting for our grandpa while constantly watching our backs because we were genuinely terrified they’d come back.

I’m home now but honestly I’m still kinda panicking and my head hurts from the adrenaline.

Hey so I am needing guidance from music artists to show me the way on how to make rap songs. I want to experiment with hiphop in this genre, NOT drill or trap but classic hiphop 90s, y2k east coast/south vibe. I've contemplated many times in wanting to make songs to hear for myself at the very least, not interested for mass appeal but in pointing out a message that I want to hear in lyrics.. I want to meet producers and emcees alike and hopefully achieving a mentor for my journey. I want to make full albums with various topics therein. If not in the Jacksonville area then anywhere! This is gonna be long and probably kinda stale, but I think at least some of this would have been helpful

Last year was my first gathering, and while this is a different location, I'm gonna be honest, I was really unprepared. Constantly hiking back and forth to my car because I was traveling with a homey that left his stuff in my car was a pain in the ass. I was the only one with a key, and we both kept doing different things. But when he needed to get his stuff, I usually needed to go with. I did leave my keys with him once because I didn't feel like going with him, but then he got sidetracked and we got lost for hours and I needed to get in my car. And there was a lot of back and forth hiking from car to park and back. So if you're going with someone, make sure you both can get to your own shit without the other. Always have a plan.

Bring water. The last venue was nice because across the street from the venue was a gas station where you could get water and refreshments. Now with this venue, and I've only read this somewhere else and it could be wrong or outdated, but the nearest gas station or store is 20 minutes away. So, I'd definitely stock up on refreshments and snacks, a week's worth, because you'll be eating more than normal also, maybe. I don't know you're body chemistry. On to

Bug spray! Make sure that whatever you're wearing is also repellant to ticks. Some bug sprays attract them somehow. And this place for sure is gonna be bad for ticks, especially if you're camping out near any tree lines.

Bring cheap flip flops for showers, if you plan on taking them, which they're free, so why woukdnt you? The best time to take a shower is about an hour before they shut down right as they sun's dipping. If you go first thing in the morning, you're gonna be sweating your tits off right away and it'll have been completely pointless

Have cash aside from a card. Some places, like this really delicious pizza trailer, only took cash. and if they're gonna be at this one, trust... you want at least one slice (get two you cheap fuck)

Get a fucking faygo dog if it's the last thing you do

If you plan on buying drugs there, bring text kits I can't stress this enough. Always be safe about that, but if you can get from a trusted source at home, I'd strongly recommend that instead. I don't know how it's been in previous years, but last year there were cases of fent laced drugs being sold.

If you're bringing a friend, and they've never been a fan of the music, but they want to hang out, leave them the fuck at home
