Since I got so many good comments about the Tomie I did the other day I decided to do another one of my favorite creatures from Junji Ito.
This has happened to me 4 times now in person. Someone asks what manga/books I enjoy and I eventually bring up Junji Ito and they say they love Junji Ito. This always makes me happy so I ask what their favourite story of his is so we can talk about it and every time they say they haven't actually read any.....
There is nothing wrong with just appreciating the art and not getting into the stories but it does make me wonder how many fans have actually read his work. Has anyone else had this experience or something similar?
Edit: I am not trying to gatekeep Junji Ito I just noticed this and was wondering if other people had similar experiences. I do think it’s cool that his work has became so popular that people recognise it just from the art and I have no problems with that.
Souichi and ChocoCat heehheHEHEHWKBDEOSMD
Ever since i got into Junji ito, Souichi's been my fav, especially i love how much of a menace he is.
He's gotta be top 5 characters of OAT.

I have uzumaki too but not here (ignore Elissabat, just aura farming)
I’m very proud of our Junji Ito (Tomie) collection but unfortunately it’s time to move it to other shelf I still don’t bought 💔 These are not the entire collection (we have some t-shirts and wall hangings) and some other unsorted stuff btw. There are some collaborations with Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese brands and some are just from exhibitions in Japan, China and Thailand 🖤
"Five years into her marriage, Kuriko meets with a boy who she used to bully as a kid"
Release: Next Week
First/second episode is being aired right now
I have been doing 3d for some time and it never occurred to me to try to recreate one made by Junji Ito so I gave it my best. I took inspiration from the Tomie figure of Limit Studio and the iconic manga panel.
Does anybody have any good or interesting theories on why the body swapper couldn't swap out of Tomie's body, or why Tomie was acting so strangely after the swap? Maybe Tomie's supernatural biology had something to do with it, or perhaps the body swapper's powers became Tomie's after the swap?
Sorry if I missed something—I'm new to Junji Ito's work. 😊
Found this in my local bookstore while shopping for my baby’s storybooks. 😆 good thing I wasn’t questioned. Bought this and 5 story books 😆
What did you think on gyo, personally I didn’t like it, I read it in one sitting. Did other people like it?
