First time trying The Communist, their thing is that a load of the meals are named after left wing figures.
£12 for basically doner meat, chips and salad with a drink but I did have the option of rice rather than chips if I wanted.
Very tasty doner cut quite thick with loads of chips. Had the option of coating the chips in peri peri spice which was different. Good selection of sauces although the chilli sauce could have been hotter.

What is the most underrated kebab style that you think deserves far more attention than it currently gets?
The doner gets all the recognition. The shish gets the respect. But somewhere in the wider kebab world there is a style or a regional variation that most people have never tried and that deserves its moment. What would you put forward and where should someone go to try it properly?

First time trying GDK, have to say I'm impressed.
It's all delicious (kebab spring rolls what a genius idea) a little pricey but what do you expect it's a chain and you get PLENTY for your money.

Joy's Carlisle, £6.50. Large.
It's not the most beautiful kebab wrap in the world, but weighs as much as a baby and costs a touch over 6 quid. Has saved me multiple times when I can't be arsed to cook.
They also do a mega wrap which is stupidly large and enough to feed probably about four people for £18

Kebab from the canary islands
