Parking 101

You should double park 2 spaces as the world revolves around you, making it convenient for you and you only.

How often do you guys change your tyres?

As the title says, how often do you guys change your tyres? Especially, those who travel far for work and daily commute.

I travel daily 50km per day and 5 times a week.

What’s the best car that able to fit 6 adults, 1 kid, 1 toddler. Below rm300/day if possible for one week trip in KLIA-Ipoh-Genting.

Hi guys, I’m travelling with family to KL for a week in end of July 2026. We have 4 senior citizens, 2 adults and 2 kids ( 1 year old and 4 years old). Wondering what car could fit in nicely if I don’t want to rent two bezzas.

Im starting to like Motorcycles

Hello guys!

Imma M27, i've never ride motorcycle on busy road, only in my taman.

I only have D license, but recently i was thinking, to get a motorcycle. I can ride a scooter, usually just around my taman house.

A particularly KTM model, just want to buy used one, around rm5k ish, KTM Duke 200 2021 like that.

I wanted to use it as a bike for my commute around 20km ish. Like going to the gym, buy something at kedai, or even jalan2 somewhere in the evening. And maybe 100km+ if got anything like, going ride with friends.

But, i really scared of motorcycles. To me, i see it, the risk is definitely high compared to driving a car. In todays time, i saw, drivers and riders with no brain everywhere. Life ans death is just on a thin thread. Idk everyone is so fast, not care about ones life at all. The lorry also a lot.

Should i proceed with this? Idk, to me i saw it as daily commute that can save me alot of money and time from traffic jam or something..

23M, 210cm tall, can’t find a car that fits me

I’m a 23-year-old Malaysian student (~210cm tall) trying to find a car that fits both my body and my financial reality, but I’m stuck.

I’ve tested many cars in Malaysia:

* Most Perodua/Proton cars don’t fit me properly at all
* Honda Civic fits me okay, but it’s too low and uncomfortable for getting in/out daily
* SUVs like Honda BR-V fit, but I get leg fatigue on longer drives due to seat support
* Overall, most affordable cars either don’t fit me or cause discomfort over time

So far, I’ve noticed European cars (like VW/BMW/Merc sedans) fit my driving position and seating comfort the best.

But my problem is:

* I can’t handle unpredictable repair costs or sudden big maintenance bills
* I’m still a student / early in my career

So I’m stuck between:

* Cars that fit me physically but are financially risky (continental cars like BMW/VW/Mercedes)
* Cars that are financially safe but physically uncomfortable for my height

Right now I feel like I’m running out of realistic options in Malaysia that are both comfortable for a 210cm driver and financially safe at my stage of life.

Looking for advice from tall drivers or anyone who’s dealt with similar budget + comfort constraints.

Is this normal price? Barely use Vios 70k km mileage service.

What do you think about putting itasha on daily drive car?

I mean it's your own car, do whatever you want, just do not put anything obscene that make you on par with "papa pulang mama basah"

Another thing is, you are not really anonymous anymore, so if you cut off someone, people remember the details more than the number plate 💀💀

Have anyone had experience buying spareparts from mountainking website or shopee?

Last 3 months ago i bought shock absorbers and lower arms for my Proton Suprima because they are not absorbing well anymore. First week after installing the new parts, i heard there's some creaking noises coming from behind of my car (which is the one i replaced) but it was absorbing the bumps pretty well just like new.

But now after months, it started to feel hard again and make a quite loud 'hentak' noise when i drive over bumps. I wonder have anyone ever experienced the same with mountainking parts?

Upgrading the look of my TCC with a front grille LED light.

My dad and I spent the weekend working on this modification. I currently have 5 units in stock, and I’m also selling the LED lights.

Toyota Vios 2021 Gearbox Issues

My Toyota Vios (2021 model) started making an abnormal sound from the front right tyre like it's scraping against something with minor vibrations. The sound was obvious when I'm driving more than 50km/h. Toyota SC advised that it was a wheel bearing issue, so went to a 3rd party workshop and got it replaced but literally made no difference.

Went to Lim Tayar for 2nd opinion and they said it's a gearbox issue and suggested to opt for recon GB which costed RM4,800 incl. labour. So parked my car there for them to get a deeper inspection before confirming the job but as of yesterday, they told me they already fixed it so I've got no choice but to pay them.

Wondering if this has happened to any other Vios owners or am I just unlucky? As I understand GB is not something that is common to fail especially when the car is only 5 years old with less than 80k mileage.

Coincidentally, my 5 year warranty just ended in February 2026 as well.

2015 Ranger T6: Throttle Controller vs. DPF-Back for response? (Plus questions on budget units)

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2015 Ford Ranger T6 (Diesel) and I’m looking to improve the throttle response, I just want the truck to feel more energetic and responsive when I step on the gas.

I’m currently looking at two options:

  1. A budget 9-Drive / CBW Throttle Controller(From shopee).
  2. A 3.5-inch DPF-back Exhaust.

For those who have modified their T6, I have a few specific questions:

  • Which is better for purely improving response? Does the exhaust actually make a noticeable difference in how the truck reacts, or is the controller the only way to go?
  • Has anyone here used these units (like the 9-Drive/CBW) on a Ranger? Does it actually help with that "sluggish" feeling, or is it too jumpy?
  • How often do these cause "Limp Mode" or "Wrench Light" issues specifically on the T6 platform? Is it a constant headache with the budget brands, or is it rare if you use a sensible setting?

Looking for real-world experience before I spend the money. Thanks!

Used Car as first car

hello, I'm 25F live around klang valley, already work for 2years and just started a side hustle. my total monthly income around 4k, so I've been wanting to buy a car but keep delaying it (got my license when i was 20yo). my previous option for a car was the new saga (but i dont like the infotainment) and e-mas 5 (but quite hard for me bcs i'm currently renting). So recently i'm interested to buy a used Vios G 2022 with mileage around 75k for rm65k. i already did the scrut report, turned out the car was fine- no major or minor accident, no flood history.

do you think it is okay for me to buy it? considering i'm a girl and my hometown is like 300km away and it's my first car.
