Payment Processing for 72 Days

Klarna has a payment that has been processing for 72 days on my account. The interest keeps going up and I can't do anything to make it go away - the payment already came out of my account and they have the needed proof. They have now put a hold on my account (they put the hold on at day 69) and just keep telling me to wait as it's a known Klarna issue. I reached out to them when it was around 7-10 days pending and they told me to wait a little longer. I get the feeling I'm going to be penalized for THEIR issue. Eff Klarna. They're ridiculous and their customer service team is unhelpful and unreliable. I have NEVER been late and they can't fix the issue for 72 days?! Ridiculous. Anyone else ever experience this? What was the outcome? As soon as I pay off my last order, I’m closing the account. I had a $4250 CL and now I’m going being penalized for their internal issues.

Looking to buy a guitar using Klarna at 21.9% interest. If I pay it all over within a month, will I save significantly on interest?

Reason being is I have a guitar of equal value which I need maybe a month to sell on.

Is anyone else constantly being asked to verify their ID

For the past few weeks every time I try to make a card it's either declined and the email says they can't verify my identity, or it asks me to verify my ID or log into my bank account. It's so annoying. The bank login never works. I've already went onto the chat and sent a picture of my ID to the agent so they could verify it but it just keeps happening. I've been using klarna for years. Never missed a payment and often pay early. I'm about to just switch to a normal credit card because I'm over it.

Is this normal or am I crazy

I made a payment to Klarna for a purchase I made previously. The only option to pay I got was through a Wire Transfer, so I did. Now, the money was debited from my account last week, now it’s almost the end of the next week and the payment is processing for over a week on their side, which I find weird because I was told by them that the processing is made by an automated system. Is it normal to wait this long? What if I send a payment 5 days before due date and they don’t manage to process it, will I be charged with late fees? I am just asking because if I am required to send a payment 10 days before due date then I might not use them at all.

Merchants Are Warning Each Other About Klarna. The Conversion Boost Looks Great, But What Comes After?

A Shopify Reddit thread titled *“Klarna Customers are the Worst”* is getting a lot of attention from merchants who say the same thing keeps happening.

At first, the numbers look great.

One store reported a **30% increase in conversions** after enabling Klarna.

Then things changed.

That same merchant says they later lost **two Shopify Payments accounts** due to chargebacks and disputes linked to BNPL orders.

“Never activate Klarna on Shopify payments,” they wrote. “It brings in low quality customers and a flood of chargebacks.”

Other merchants in the thread share similar experiences:
sudden spike in orders after turning on BNPL, followed by more returns and disputes than usual, followed by payment processing issues.

One seller said Klarna was turned off after **just one week and three complaints**. Another said fraud and disputes only appeared on Klarna orders, not other payment methods.

The issue many are pointing to is timing. In several cases, customers would mark items as returned in Klarna before merchants even received the product back, triggering disputes almost immediately.

Still, not everyone has the same experience.
Some merchants report no issues at all, especially in higher-ticket or considered-purchase categories. Others say Klarna simply changes who buys, shifting traffic toward lower-value, impulse-driven customers who are more likely to dispute orders.

One comment summed it up clearly: “The conversion boost is real. The customer quality is what changes.”

The takeaway is not that BNPL is good or bad. It is that the upside and downside often show up at different times.

The conversion lift comes first. The cost comes later

Klarna threatening to send debt collectors

A couple months back, a scammer got into my Klarna account and spent a £100 giftcard. I locked the account to avoid any further transactions. I tried to unlock my account but I have no valid ID and can't afford to get a valid passport, so I am unable to unlock the account. I contacted support to resolve it, they were utterly useless so I was just happy to pay the money and be done using Klarna's services.

Fast forward to today when they sent me an email threatening to send a debt collector. I've had the money for the payment sat in my bank for months and they've never tried to take it out. I don't know what to do and I'm scared

Hi

I’m on a repayment plan with Klara (£360) and i can’t afford it this month and had an email saying “pay now to avoid the risk of being sent to a debt collection agency” does this mean if i don’t pay this month they’ll have people knocking at my door?

Have you been able to restore purchase power?

I had Klarna back in 2024. I paid it off but it was late payments. Now 2026, still no purchase power.

Has anyone been able to restore it? Chat gpt says to try and use the Klarna balance to show activity at least.

But I have no purchase power may have to get the card and add money for stuff I need to buy lol

Missing 1/3 of my refund. Is the refund just delayed?

I recently cancelled a transaction that I had paid about 3 payments on. It was for a trip that will no longer work, and I was approved for a full return for the payments I had done so far. Today I received 2/3 of the payments back, but there is one still missing. It seems odd to me that it would not all come in at the same time? Is this common for part of the refund to be delayed? If so, for how long? I don't think anything should be held back by Klarna as they did approve me for the full amount I already paid like I said. I'm just a bit worried because it's a $130 refund that is missing at the moment. Also, I know it says it could take up to 5-7 days, but again because I already received part of it, that's where my concern lies.

Refunded but still have the items

I bought 2 sunglasses from sunglass hut via klarna and paid for the deposit already. Next day i went to pick up my item and everything was fine. Later that day i got an email saying my order is canceled (coming from klarna) and my payment is refunded.

Got a different email from sunglass hut mentioning that the items are no longer in stock so they canceled it in their website too but I already picked them up...

What will happen now? Would this cause any serious issues or something? What should I do?

Disgusting

Dealing with fraud. Had 1200$ in charges hit my account. Made a complaint then a series of other charges were attempted after I froze my card. Still denying my claim. Stay away at all costs they will not help you.

I have never missed a payment or even been late with klarna or any other credit lenders. Even little pathetic amounts ive tested that are like £5 keep being declined

Does pay in 4 affect credit score ?

I’ve heard that Klarna pay in 4 doesn’t affect your credit but also heard of it lowering your credit after you finish your last payment. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this yet ?

Klarna Credit Card for Petrol?

Hi, I set up my Klarna Credit Card yesterday, and today I decided to test my first purchase by buying petrol.

I paid via kiosk, so no excess amount. I wanted to ask if anyone else has done this purchase with this card, and what is their experience with pending, does it usually clear quick, or has anyone had an issue where its in pending for an extremely long time?

Thanks :)

This is Interesting

I have never used Klarna a whole lot and always have kept my balances low when I use it. I had worked my way up to a $2,500 limit. Last week, my limit decreases by $1,000. At first, I was like, no big deal it was still a usable amount. I log in today to make a couple payments and saw my purchasing power is $750. My balance is $175 and rarely have carried and more than $225 balance.

I am wondering if it is because I don't use it often or I carry a low balance when I use it.

Klarna, Please Review My $5,000 Fraud Case,I’m Being Left to Pay for Services Never Delivered

Klarna, I need someone to actually review my fraud case. I’ve been going in circles for weeks.
I financed a $5,000 Tristan Trades|Only Profits Investing LLC mentorship program through Klarna, and it has turned into what I believe is fraud.
The merchant has now stopped responding completely, refuses to issue a full refund, and there is no mentorship program or service being provided anymore.
Since purchasing the program, I have discovered that the merchant was removed from the Kajabi platform due to deceptive practices. I also found that the merchant was removed from another platform, Whop, for policy violations. I have screenshots documenting both removals.
I filed disputes with Klarna, but both were closed based on evidence submitted by the merchant that I believe is false.
Here’s what I have provided to Klarna:
Contracts that contain no legal signature from me and no legally binding acceptance.
Proof that the merchant never disclosed the Terms & Conditions, refund policy, or cancellation policy during checkout.
Confirmation from Kajabi that the Terms & Conditions checkbox was intentionally disabled during checkout.
Screenshots from Kajabi showing zero scheduled or completed mentorship sessions, proving the services were never delivered.
Confirmation from Kajabi supporting what the portal shows.
Despite all of this, every time I contact Klarna Customer Service or the Complaints Department, I’m told there’s nothing they can do because the dispute has already been closed. I keep getting transferred from one department to another, and no one seems willing to actually review the new evidence.
As a consumer, I trusted Klarna’s buyer protection. Instead, I’m left responsible for a $5,000 purchase for services that were never delivered by a merchant who has now been removed from multiple platforms for violating their policies.
Klarna, if anyone from your team is reading this, please escalate my case and have someone actually review the evidence instead of relying on the merchant’s false claims. Buyer protection should protect consumers from situations exactly like this.
Has anyone else experienced something similar with Klarna? Were you able to get your case reopened after providing new evidence?

Alles halb so wild .
