Purchase power??

Ok I’m OFFICIALLY confused. For the third year in a row, (I use stubhub mainly for big concert event) anyways for the third year in a row, AFTER I make a purchase, they automatically increase my purchase power, not after making payments (which I make on time) never after a completed payment plan, always after I start a new plan.

An example my purchase power was $800 last year, after spending $700 , they gave me $1400 purchase power, which eventually increased to $1900, then back down to $600 after the payment plan was completed. Now here why I’m ranting, the concert tickets I bought TODAY! Were like $725 and I still only had $600 purchase power, so I had to settle for less quality seats, NOW I open up the app and it says I have $950 buying power 💀😑. What gives??

klarna denying purchase

so i recently made a big purchase without reading all the fine print and come to find out it is not the correct size i need. realizing this, i cancelled almost an hour later. then i went to buy the correct item and was denied. it didn’t say my account was locked or under investigation, just that they couldn’t verify my identity. does anyone know how long klarna keeps this type of restriction/lock thing on accounts?

Klarna scam

My wife has been dealing with fraudulent Klarna accounts for months now and the entire process feels completely broken.

Someone opened multiple Klarna accounts using her identity. She never opened these accounts, never authorized them, and never made purchases through them. We filed everything you are supposed to:

Police report

FTC Identity Theft Report

Credit disputes

BBB complaint

Klarna originally told us they would work with us and coordinate with TransUnion to resolve the issue. But once the BBB complaint process started moving forward, Klarna suddenly changed their position and said they “don’t see anything negative” on the accounts, so they would not close them or remove them.

At the same time, TransUnion tells us they cannot force Klarna to remove the tradelines if Klarna continues verifying the accounts as valid, even though they are not.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Is it too late?

I literally just signed up for Klarna. I’ve had my credit lines frozen for the last two months due to possible identity fraud. I just unfroze them today… I keep seeing horror stories of people having their identities stolen and multiple accounts of credit opened in their names. If this shit’s rampant I’m not taking any chances. Also, does anyone know if Affirm or the other BNPL apps are going through something similar?

Klarna downhill

I've used Klarna for 3 years, loved it. 7k limit, never even close to missing a payment always pay early, 780ish credit score. Lately (February-ish) they want big down payments for financing plans. I just tried affirm for the first time and its like old Klarna 0 down for plans, 12 month financing available not just for massive purchases (which seemed to change for klarna too recently, you cant 12 month $250-$300 anymore). Seems like the end of Klarna for me, its a shame they did it to everyone including the ones who religiously paid on time.

Klarna is holding my funds?

I bought a monitor through Amazon a while back, used Klarna to pay for it with the pay in 30 days option.

Recently I returned it, the refund went back to Klarna as Amazon only do it to the original payment method.

They've added it to my statement after a weird message saying it failed to go to a registered bank account and now shows as a positive balance, but the chat advisors are telling me it can't be given back to my bank account, it can only be used for any future Klarna purchases. Can I do anything?

UPDATE It doesn't seem to be part of their script so I found out about it and asked specifically - there is a refund form you can fill out if you use the statements reference number and your IBAN number etc, the advisors can give you said link. It states you'll receive the refund within 14 days.

Experience with price drop guarantee in Klarna Max?

Klarna Max plan offers a "30 days price guarantee" benefit, where if you buy something and the price drops up yo 30 days later, you get the price difference back.

Has anyone used it? How is the experience with claiming such thing? Do they accept it well? How does this work with online and with physical payments? How do you know when there is a price drop?

IMO this seems one of the biggest reasons to get Max plan, as this would remove a big friction on buying things, and the money back might compensate the Max cost.

I won the case with Klarna! Alibaba dispute buyers protection failed!

I wanted to share a quick update and encourage everyone to stay persistent:

Product: Samsung Galaxy z Trifold, 3200 USD

Seller: Shenzhen Shuyan Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd.

Klarna finally decided the case in my favor and completely cancelled the claim! I had ordered from a merchant who tried to scam me with a fake tracking record. They provided a Chinese SF Express tracking number and claimed the package had been delivered to me—even including a forged "signature" as proof of delivery.

However, I took a very close look at the tracking details and noticed it said "Shenzhen City" to "Shenzhen City," meaning the goods never even left China. The breakthrough came when I realized that viewing the actual Proof of Delivery on the carrier's website required a phone number for verification. By chance, I found a Chinese mobile number on the merchant's invoice. I tried using the last four digits of that number as the access code, and it worked instantly. This was the ultimate "smoking gun": since the signature could only be accessed using the merchant's own Chinese phone number, it was physically impossible for that signature to be mine or for the delivery to have reached me in Germany. After I presented this detailed evidence, Klarna ruled in my favor. If you're in a similar situation, definitely stay stubborn and check every single detail on your invoices

Help with a refund for a service not a product!

Hi all, looking for some advice as I’m really struggling with this situation financially now.

Back in January 2026 I paid £400 via Klarna for a 6-month online fitness coaching plan. The agreement via WhatsApp was:

“For everything on the performance plan and support with me, i'd be happy to do the 6 months at £400.”

The service was supposed to include:

  • ongoing coaching
  • nutrition/diet guidance
  • weekly check-ins
  • WhatsApp support throughout the 6 months

I submitted regular weekly check-ins during January and February and fully engaged with the process.

Around mid-February, communication basically stopped. I repeatedly tried contacting the coach afterwards and got no meaningful continuation of support despite the service being sold as a 6-month coaching plan.

One initial plan/document was sent near the beginning, but my issue is that I paid for an ongoing coaching/support service, not just a one-off PDF.

I disputed this with Klarna twice times but they keep saying the merchant provided evidence the “product” was delivered. They don’t seem to understand my complaint is about incomplete service delivery, not non-delivery of a document.

Klarna have only agreed to pause the final payment for 21 days until the seller gets back to me...I mean he has not responded to me since Feb! They openly said if he does not get back to you then to contact local authorities, but they will not be able to provide a refund.

Has anyone dealt with something similar involving online coaching services/Klarna? Mainly looking for advice on:

  • consumer rights in this situation
  • whether Trading Standards or Financial Ombudsman is worth pursuing
  • whether Klarna should be treating this differently as a service dispute rather than a physical/digital product

Thanks for the help in advanced.

Rejected when opening a klarna balance

I keep getting "technical error" when I apply for the klarna balance. I have now tried both my driving license and my passport. The ID part appears to go through just fine but once I click accept to the terms and conditions, it just says sorry can't open due to technical error. When I do the same process but in the cashback redeem way, it says sorry you don't meet all the requirements just yet. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, tried waiting 24hours before submitting.. nothing works. I spoke to live chat support, useless.. Two of them just wrote half a message then ended the chat and then I spoke to them on the phone and a woman said she will be right back with a solution, came back, and said "so what we are going to do sir is...." then hung up lol. Called back again and the guy said check your credit report, which my credit is fine and I'm not applying for credit, I'm just opening a balance account, at least trying too. Anybody else?

Klarna ID verification Uk

Only got recently asked to upload a photo ID for a purchase. Tried scanning my new Citizen Card but no matter what angle I take it from, it keeps getting rejected for the image quality even though the pictures are perfect. Is this common or would it be because my ID is brand new?

Klarna Hacked?

I saw a post last week of new cards being created and Klarna saying they somehow had a system glitch where old cards auto created and charged.

I had freaked out and didn’t want my credit to take a ding. So I thought I had an overdue payment and immediately paid.

However then I said wtf is this. And I disputed and realized it was a scam.

I disputed before the payment had gone through and four days later they took my money.

I did not make the purchase in the first place.

Has anyone got a refund for these disputes. Should I dispute through my bank? I’m like wtf Klarna. If you acknowledge you are compromised why tf did you take my money.

Frustrated. Have you got your refunds yet?

Has anyone had this happen before?

Saved half of what I need for a new phone. I wanna keep my credit up, so I like making scheduled payments. Anyways, I ordered it LAST MONDAY and the shit is STILL PROCESSING? I contacted Apple support, but then they sent me to Klarna support, then Klarna sends me back to Apple support, and it’s just a back and forth. What the heck do I do? What’s going on? I put $60 as a down payment.

Klarna forcing payment while dispute is unresolved – item already returned

I want to share my current experience with Klarna and AliExpress because I honestly do not know what else to do anymore.

I purchased a drone through AliExpress using Klarna payment services. The item arrived defective and did not function as advertised. I immediately requested a return, but the seller initially refused, so I opened a dispute through AliExpress.

AliExpress then instructed me to return the item using their provided shipping label, which I did immediately and exactly according to their instructions.

Important:

  • I have tracking proof showing the seller received the returned item
  • I have photos of the return process
  • I even recorded a full video showing the packaging process from start to finish, including the item inside the box and the shipping label being attached

Despite all of this, my refund was refused without any proper explanation. The seller now has both the returned item AND my money.

So i contacted Klarna and requested their help to solve this issue

I got a message back statin that the seller has provided all they needed and they found that the item sent is incorrect and the return was fraudulent, case closed now i need to pay and no one would see my reply to set email and even if that was the case i am still liable and i had to pay withing the timeframe they have imposed.

What is even more concerning is that Klarna never once contacted me to request evidence from my side before siding against me. At no point was I asked to provide my tracking proof, photos, video evidence, or any counterstatement regarding the seller’s claims.

Instead, Klarna continued demanding payment, sending overdue notices, threatening collection costs, and eventually limiting my account, despite the dispute still being unresolved.

I have repeatedly attempted to contact Klarna through official complaint emails and support channels, asking for the case to be properly reviewed and requesting that the payment be paused during the investigation. So far, my complaints and follow-up attempts have largely gone unanswered or avoided.

I understand investigations take time, but forcing payment while ignoring the customer’s evidence and refusing meaningful communication feels extremely unfair.

What concerns me most is that I found many similar stories online from people claiming they returned items to AliExpress sellers, the items were received, yet refunds were still denied afterward.

At this point I am posting publicly in the hope that:

  • Klarna properly reviews my case
  • My account limitations and collection threats are paused
  • Someone from Klarna support finally reaches out
  • Other consumers become aware of these issues

If anyone from Klarna support sees this, please escalate my case and actually review the evidence I have available.

I am fully prepared to provide:

  • Tracking proof
  • Photos
  • Full return packaging video
  • Copies of all correspondence and complaint emails

Has anyone else experienced something similar with Klarna + AliExpress disputes?
