Hey Lake community! It's time for the August challenge! 🥳

This month's technique is all about keeping your palette simple but making it pop with contrast.

Rules:

• Pick any drawing in Lake or import your own (new feature, yay!)
• Pick a base color (or two, like I did!)
• Choose a much lighter color to add your highlights
• Choose a much darker color to add your shadows

Hi Lake fam!

We just added something a lot of you have been asking for: Import Drawing! Now you can bring your line art into Lake and color it right in the app.

Got a sketch you drew yourself? A printout you love? Take a photo, import it, and start coloring with all your favorite Lake tools and colors.

And if you'd rather start from scratch, you can also draw directly on a blank canvas using the line tool, then color it in right there.

As always, we're big believers in human made art here at Lake, so this is really about giving you more ways to color the art you already love, not generating anything artificial.
