Canadian Rockies Study

Finally done, at least for now. Not sure if I'm satisfied with the brook. It was the last thing I did bc I was very unsure how to do water with pens and I knew I had one shot as I could only use the lightest gray pen. Oh btw... My first image using light gray, medium gray and black. So there was a lot of learning going on here.

I also found that my flatbed scanner does a terrible job reproducing this piece. It pushes the contrast so that medium and black pen marks appear the same color. if anyone has pointers on how to digitize this let me know. I'll add a post of the reproduction and a post of the artwork above with pens I used to produce it. The image above made with my phone.

If you feel moved to do so, let me know your thoughts.

Where Sand Meets Snow โ€” Skardu Cold Desert ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฐโ„๏ธ๐Ÿœ๏ธ

One of the most unique places in Skardu is the famous Sarfaranga/katpana Cold Desert, where you can witness sand dunes surrounded by snow-covered mountains at the same time.

It honestly feels unreal when cold winds, desert views, and majestic peaks all come together in one place. During winter, the desert sometimes gets covered with snow, making the whole landscape look like something from another world.

Whether you love adventure, peaceful landscapes, camping, photography, or simply nature..,Skarduโ€™s Cold Desert gives a completely different experience from anywhere else in Pakistan.

This is the kind of beauty that makes Gilgit-Baltistan unforgettable ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ”๏ธ
