Running through No Return with Manny and discovered this hilarious animation 😁

I love this mode. My first playthrough years ago was on Grounded. Loved the gameplay and always wished I could take it to the limit. I also really enjoy roguelikes so this is a dream game for me. Bought a PS5 for it! I could play forever.

Changing the ending (spoilers)

One thing I felt needed to be sold better was Ellie's change of heart at the very end. She is driven almost irrationally by her revenge quest the entire game. Suddenly a memory of Joel on the porch randomly pops in her head as she is murderously drowning Abby, which causes her to let go seconds before she is about to "accomplish her mission". Although I was personally glad she let Abby go, it just didn't feel fully earned.

One idea: Cut back to the theater encounter. This time, Ellie is able to get the upper hand on Abby. She has her switchblade at her throat, while Dina is holding Lev down. Just as she is about to slice Abby's throat, Lev cries out and begs Ellie not to kill her. Ellie suddenly flashes back to Joel's death, thinking of herself pleading with Abby not to kill Joel, seeing a mirror of herself in Lev. In that moment, she realizes she had allowed herself to become the monster she was hunting and chooses to release Abby. Abby tries to retaliate but similar to the actual game, she sees Lev look in horror and disapproval, causing her to regain her humanity in that moment. Ellie and Abby then mutually accept moving on and putting the past behind. Lev and Abby proceed to Santa Barbara, while Ellie (with all fingers intact), Dina and JJ get their version of a happy ending in Jackson.

The location doesn’t fulfills itself

So, that location is the broken building with stairs that lead to one of the superhero cards next to the synagogue, and I already looted it an everything and it’s not completing itself? I’m doing the platinum and I kind of need it

A rare Serephite infected

On my 5th time playing this, I noticed this type of infected. It's a shame this thing isn't in No Return.

First playthrough and if ignore the story this game feels like a movie.

the gameplay is so unbelievably tight I'm actually amazed the more I play. I really wish I could disable the girl that follows me though

Trading cards discovery

Ok so basically I’ve been playing the last of us part 2 after playing part 1 and I’ve been doing it on grounded grounded+ect so I’ve been really scavenging looking at everything and really taking in the sites aswell so long story short.ive had a joint after not smoking and ages so im proper in to it I miss the trading card then think double take I swear that was something boom trading card cool I’m getting the platinum it’s been a long time since I last played imma read all the collectables etc. the trading card “Bizarrebra” sounded a lot to me like Ellie. I’m not sure if the characters have related to any others in any kind of way to knowledge but I just thought it was a cool thing. Basically I think if part 3 is a thing we can find out a end point in the fireflies as I’ve seen many theory’s of the firefly’s breeding immune kids in Ellie’s doing and also relating to Bizarrebra revenge it sounds like Abby due to this cause of a cure has caused the death of her father I’m rlly smoked up so sorry for the grammar 😂
Thanks for reading

This avatar for Ellie (that you can still get on PS3 store) looks different on the PS5.

In the first photo I’m on my profile menu on PS5 where it looks the same as it did on PS3 and PS4. In the second photo I’m on the PS5 quick menu (where you press the PS button.) It looks super different there for some reason, or is it just me seeing it?

I cannot get over the fact that Neil Druckmann still follows the genocide perpetrator IDF on Instagram.

This fucking hurts. There was a time when I found Neil inspirational. I've to deal with conflictive dissonance every time I think about TLOU now.

ok i finally completed the TLOU 2

ok i completed tlou 2. at first i really didnt like playing abby and rushed the abby's half of the game, not as normal as i try to explore each and everything, paush and view the scenaries, but at few movements, it did actually hit me, first when nora shows the bodies of their own people killed by tommy/ellie and scars and i did close to love that scar island destruction battle, it was beautiful emotional... and at the end when i saw abby, i almost didnt recognize her because of how weak she became, and i dont really know how to think about both of the fights between abby and ellie, specially the last one, i really didnt wanna kill abby at all... overall it felt a decent end to the story but it was quite different than i thought or normally the games do, like good vs evil story types. it wasnt that at all... if we look at some certain points, everyone is surviving in their own journey, even the scars, the fedra, the jackson people. they live, die and kill for their own people...

About to buy Part 2 after beating NG+ once. I've heard Part 2 is better than Part 1 but had other questions.

Questions are: Are the physics for gunshots/arrows better? In Part 1, they were good but in slow motion they seemed pre-animated/scripted if that makes sense. How is the blood and gore in Part 2? More run and gun or heavily stealth based? I play on PS5 (not pro) and was wondering if there is a noticable graphics jump between Part 1 and Part 2. I'm late into the series but after beating Part 1 twice, its now in my Top 10.

Do these conservative players who resented Neil feel some satisfaction seeing this?

To me, Neil has always leaned pretty woke, and he put a lot of woke elements into The Last of Us Part II. Some politically correct elements just didn't fit that setting. And honestly, he kind of comes off as a bit left-wing arrogant to me.

After the Israel–Palestine conflict escalated, a lot of progressives and woke activists turned hard against Israel. When conservatives criticize him, he can just brush it off. But what is he supposed to do when liberals and the left are the ones turning against his homeland? In a way, it feels like the very values and ideological climate Neil once supported and promoted came back to bite him.

It feels like a conservative who opposes immigration watching a pro-immigration leftist get beaten up by an immigrant.
