📚 An oasis for book lovers.

This model has been three years in the making; It has been fully redesigned from the ground (or baseplate) up.

This model is inspired by the Karabuk University library building in Karabuk, Turkey. I decided to give it a neo-classical look with older style books. I can confidently say that this model is my true vision of what I wanted the library to look like. With the new piece limit of 5,000 I am able to add much more detail than I was previously able to do.

This updated design still maintains my "must have" features like the book spine facade, the outdoor seating area, and lots of large windows for natural light to flood in. New design features include: a large atrium spanning both floors, a large skylight at the top of the atrium, an enhanced lounge area with a PC and reading desk on the second floor.

I wanted to share this model with bookworms and architecture fans alike. I have not seen a lot of Lego sets employing the neo-classical style and I wanted to have one. I think this model will make for an excellent display piece to go with bookshelves or in a display case.

• Minifigures: 14 - me (the designer), news reporter, news camera operator, 8 guests, library front desk clerk, librarian, assistant librarian

This model has been my passion project for the last 3 years. After my initial project Modular Library and Park reached 10,000 support but failed in review, I wanted to rebuild it from scratch taking advantage of the new increased piece limit. In a way I am grateful the original project failed selection as it has allowed me to create this much better design.
