This project was born from a visit to Florence in 2019. When I came to design this MOC, the challenge was clear: how do you honour a landmark of this density and detail at a scale constrained by 5000 pieces? My desire was to capture not just the look of the Ponte Vecchio, but its character. After days of focused building, research, and no small amount of trial and error, the result is a model I am genuinely proud of: a love letter to Florence, built brick by brick.

My latest project is now live! Hopefully the is the first in a series of throne room dioramas. I made this as an excuse to be able to make a diorama that uses fancy Corinthian style pillars.

An engineering masterpiece. Inspired by real-world boat lifts, this model features an ingenious working mechanism with moving gates, counterweights and a complete lifting sequence. It's one of those builds that reminds you just how much technical magic can be achieved with LEGO bricks.

As Santheg, I've been fortunate enough to celebrate my own milestones on LEGO Ideas. But Baron von Barron has always been one of the creators I admire most, and his work continues to inspire me every time he publishes a new project.

I'd genuinely love to see him keep creating these incredible original builds for many years to come.
