Daggerheart Heroics, Hilarity & Hijinks High Fantasy Campaign [Online] [Daggerheart] [Fridays 4PM PDT] [Weekly] [Campaign] [Paid $30] [Discord] [Foundry VTT] [Beginner Friendly] [LGBTQ+ Friendly] [BIPOC Friendly]

I have three seats available in my Daggerheart campaign on Start Playing Games. This campaign has been going for a couple months now, so you'll be starting at level 3, though you have the option to start at level 1 and then advance to 2 and then 3 when you're ready. Totally up to you!

Party composition so far:

- Ridgeborne Giant Stalwart Guardian
- Freeborne Faerie/Giant Juggernaut Brawler
- Orderborne Dwarf Winged Sentinel Seraph

If you’re excited to engage in the special brand of collaborative storytelling that Daggerheart can provide, and if you want to play heroic, skilled, and perhaps hilarious characters, then this is the campaign for you.

Play in a laid-back campaign custom-made for your character. This will be a heroic, high adventure sandbox-style campaign. We'll build the region map together and fill it with interesting and dangerous places to explore.

Jobs for adventurers are posted on notice boards in the city (a la The Witcher III). These could involve anything from finding a missing person, to slaying a rampaging beast, to investigating a mystery. You'll be able to choose any of these quests you like, as well as following any of the story threads you encounter in the world.

The story will be based on what interests you and what you choose to investigate and explore. This isn't an adventure on rails. I may at times pull in material from modules for various games, but I will customize them for our campaign. It will always be up to you whether you pursue those story arcs or not. You'll always be able to choose your own path, and you can always at any time choose to do something completely different or take the story in a new direction.

As we're all new to Daggerheart, at any point in the campaign you’ll be able to make changes to your character, or even make a completely new character, if you wish. In addition to the normal ability to trade out a Domain card you're not using or enjoying when you level, you'll also be able to change things like your Class, Subclass, Ancestry, Community Experiences, etc. at any time.

This will be an ongoing campaign with a story that will unfold around you based on the decisions you make, the people you meet, and how you treat them. You’ll be able to make allies and enemies. You’ll be able to pursue adventure, justice, riches, or whatever other goals you may come up with together as a group.

- Beginner friendly
- BIPOC friendly
- LGBTQ+ friendly

I'm usually available on Discord for any questions or if you want to discuss your character or the campaign.

I have a lot of experience running games for players new to the system and players new to the hobby, so if you're a new player, this will be a great way for you to learn Daggerheart.

I also have a lot of experience running games for diverse players. All are welcome at my table, and I use safety systems and don't tolerate any harassment or disrespect in my games. You can check the above links to the campaign and my GM profile for more on the safety systems used.

I am the producer and host of the podcasts GM Intrusions and Game Master's Journey. I have run actual play games as part of both of those shows as well as on my YouTube channel. So you can check those out to learn more about me and my GMing style.

[FRIDAYS] A DARK REQUIEM FOR NEW ORLEANS [Paid, $25/Session][LGBTQ+ Friendly]

Game details

Game system: Vampire: The Requiem 2nd Edition

Frequency and Time: Weekly / Fridays - 10:00 p.m. EDT

Session Duration: 3 hours

Price: 25$ per session through StartPlaying, at https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmp00h3ya000fju04hlvnaqbe?ref=clyyt004800ytwx8cbcnn1x20

About the adventure

You are a noble predator, a sensual monster, a philosopher of murder: a vampire. You wake up every night hungry for human blood, not a single day older than the day you died. You walk among the human herd and they pass you by, unaware of the danger they are in. You hunt, you feed, and sometimes, you kill.

Misery loves company, they say. There are other monsters in the dark, hungry like you, but different in their particular brand of horror. The All Night Society beckons you to commune with them, to hunt with them, but they ask you so much in return: the very thing that makes you still human maybe, or perhaps another sin for their sinister bucket list.

From the raucous parades of Mardi Gras to the quiet power of the board room, New Orleans has something for everyone, provided you're willing to pay the price. Money, power, entertainment, lust... Even immortality.

What does your heart desire?

As one of the Damned, you belong to one of the five ancient Clans of vampires, each afflicted with a particular strain of the vampiric curse. You may also join one of the five Covenants of the Kindred, dark societies and blasphemous philosophies for the undead that can help you cope with the reality of your unnatural existence.

The French Quarter of New Orleans will be the main scenario for this chronicle. Among the many dangers of gothic New Orleans, you will:

🩸 Hunt down rogue vampires that defy the rule of the Prince with their unspeakable acts!

🩸 Navigate the cutthroat politics of the Kindred at Elysium gatherings.

🩸 Curse your enemies with dark sorceries born of blasphemy and blood.

🩸 Explore the supernatural mysteries of the bayous, inhabited by shapechanging devils and horrible hauntings.

🩸 Evade the pursuit of monster hunters that see you as their rightful prey.

🩸 Protect your precious loved ones from the depredations of your fellow monsters... and of yourself.

Who has not heard rumours of the lost city of Arden Vul?

During the glory days of the Archontean Empire, now 1,200 years in the past, Arden Vul was a small, but important, wealthy and secretive imperial centre located atop a 1,500’-tall cliff at the head of Burdock’s Valley.

Dominated by the imperial administration itself, as well as by the great temples of Thoth and Set, the city attracted alchemists, scholars, priests and sorcerers by the droves. Seeking the lost secrets of long-dead civilizations as well as the mysterious element known as arcanum (see new magic items), the Archonteans delved deeply - and secretively - within the mountain.

Alas! The terrible civil war that rent the Archontean Empire, that is, the war of Sortians and Theosophs, led to the utter destruction of the city and the withdrawal of the imperial legions from the western continent of Irthuin. Now, with the renaissance of imperial power, it is possible for well-equipped adventurers to make the long trek to Arden Vul from the exarchates of the coast.

Tales of gold piled in imperial vaults, legendary magical artifacts resting in unspoiled crypts, and the fruits of the lost secrets of ancient imperial smiths and mages lying ripe for the picking are legion.

Yet alongside the tales of lost treasures are other, more unsettling whispers. How could a lost city remain unplundered for more than a millennium? Surely only the existence of the cruellest of foes and unimaginable evil within the mountain can explain Arden Vul’s unspoiled status.

Only the bravest, the cleverest, and the luckiest of adventurers will survive to plumb the mysteries of Arden Vul.

[Online][LFDM][Private Group][D&D 5e 2024][EST][Paid] Group of Friends Seeking Beginner-Friendly One-Shot for First Tabletop Experience

Hey all,

We’re a private group of 4 friends looking for a DM to run an online one-shot, with the possibility of future sessions if the group and DM click well together.

Our group:

  • 4 adult players
  • 3 completely new to tabletop D&D
  • 1 returning player (last played around 1997)

While most of us are new to tabletop play, we do have a strong fantasy RPG background through games like Baldur’s Gate 1–3, Neverwinter Nights, and Icewind Dale, so we’re familiar with general D&D concepts, terminology, party roles, etc. We’re looking to learn how tabletop play actually flows and build good habits from the start.

What we’re looking for:

  • private table only
  • beginner-friendly onboarding experience
  • patient and collaborative DM
  • comfortable teaching mechanics/rules as they come up
  • okay with questions and occasional strategy discussion
  • friendly, non-adversarial style

System:

  • D&D 5e (2024 rules preferred)

Game style: Looking for a balanced mix of:

  • combat
  • roleplay opportunities
  • skill checks/problem solving
  • exploration/adventure

We want a fun and welcoming first tabletop experience more than an ultra-hard challenge.

Availability:

  • weekends
  • Eastern Time

Session length:

  • ideally around 4 hours

Platform:

  • Discord voice preferred
  • open to Owlbear, Roll20, Foundry, or similar

Budget:

  • paid
  • approximately $15–20/player

Character preferences: We’d strongly prefer either:

  • pre-generated characters with some customization options OR
  • guided beginner-friendly character creation

Level 2 characters would probably be ideal, but we’re open to your recommendation.

If interested, please message with:

  • your DM experience
  • experience teaching new players
  • preferred style/tone
  • platform/tools used
  • rates and availability

Bonus if you enjoy helping players understand not just what to do, but why.

Thanks!
