Day 3 tibias Pmax

This has been the most pain I’ve EVER felt in my life. Genuinely a 9/10. It felt like my lower legs got blown up and I just had to watch and experience it. Bad news as well I only got the smallest rods which are 150lbs weight bearing. But now I feel a bit better and I’m getting a bit more flexible. I was not able to stand yet nor poop yet. When I stood I saw black and white and almost dropped. I am now getting IV and it’s helping. I believe after today most be pain be gone. Overall though I’m very happy. I genuinely cannot believe by early January I’ll be 6’4.75. It’s really keeping me going and staying positive. AMA

Pmax

I’m 9 weeks post-op and in week 8 of the lengthening phase. I’m so excited that I can now walk without assistance, walk to the car, and make it to physical therapy with my cane! I still have some muscle tightness after showering and occasional tibia soreness. Has anyone else experienced this during recovery?

Limb Lengthening (Recovery)

Hey guys I hope all is well. I just thankfully finished the lengthening phase and have returned back to my home country. For recovery, I am wondering if people use compression boots which run all the way up to the femur. Is something like this safe to use especially when you have trauma nails placed into your knees, im wondering the compression despite the low setting would somehow hurt the nail. If anybody uses devices like these, please let me know, and potentially ease my concerns. Should I be using a device like this?
