Recs for a non-drinker who's just thinking about having a few sips of wine at night?

I almost never drink. I think the last drink I had was at a Christmas party 3 years ago. I'm trying something new and thinking about having a few sips of wine (or something) maybe once a week. Can anyone recommend anything? I have 0 knowledge about alcohol. I just want something light

grandparents gave me their liquor collection to sell. where to start?

hello all! my grandparents recently asked me to help sell their old liquor collection. most of these bottles were purchased around 30-50 years ago. there are around 50 bottles in the whole collection. the whole collection can be seen in the very last photo.

I am not a liquor enthusiast nor do I drink, so i’d appreciate any advice on how I could get the best price for these bottles.

i’m mainly wondering where i could find information on how old the bottles are exactly, where i could sell, and whether or not any of them have gone bad.

any help or advice would be much appreciated. thank you :)

What's your thoughts on jagermeister orange?

I've had it by its self and personally i didn't really like it but mixed with something it makes any mixed drink a lot more vibrant and easier to drink with its added essence. I'd recommend it to at least try once for sure plus it was only like 21$. I'd give it a 7 out of 10.

What the heck is going on with large-format liquor pricing at Total Wine?

I’ve started noticing this across multiple brands, but Hendrick’s Gin is a perfect example:
750ml = $26.99
1L = $47.99
1.75L = $71.99
How does the price per ounce actually get WORSE as the bottle gets bigger?
Traditionally, larger formats are supposed to offer some level of value or scale savings, but at Total Wine it almost feels like the opposite. The jump from 750ml to 1L and 1.75L is wildly disproportionate.
Is this a distributor issue? Supplier pricing? State taxes? Or is Total Wine intentionally pricing larger formats at a premium because most people assume bigger bottles are automatically a better deal?
I’m genuinely curious because once you actually do the math, a lot of these large formats make absolutely no sense.

Liquor Identification: Green Square Bottle, from Itally, wrapped in leather.

Bottle holds 1,000ml. Dimensions: 9.5 x 9.5 x 19.5 cm tall (without stopper). Bottle opening: 3.5cm

Stopper Plastic/Silicone. Bottle Glass. Outside leather - 'binding' small cloth coated in plastic

Curious what used to be in it - currently? Just water. Neat bottle/cover.

Thanks!

Just started a job at a liquor store. What do I need to know?

Just finished my second shift, it’s been easy to push the stuff I know(beer, vodka, and chasers) But there’s so much I’m noticing I have no knowledge in. What do you expect of your clerk when you go to a liquor store?

Is this old liquor still safe to drink? Clearing out Dads old bar

I’m clearing out my Dads old bar but I’m not really much of a drinker so I may give away these bottles. But can anyone tell me if old opened bottles like these are still safe to drink and also will taste fine?
I was hoping to not just toss it all but want to be safe.

What do I choose?

Open bar, I like tequila. But this is what I have to choose from. I’m open to all drinks, anything that sticks out?
