It’s not finished, so what else should I add?
I painted this mash up of Harry Potter and Little Shop of Horrors (my two obsessions). I’m needing more Little Shop ideas. I plan to add the Greek chorus, and Seymour’s glasses from the Director’s Cut version.
For the Harry Potter references, I’m thinking of putting Sirius on Buckbeak and Hagrid on his motorbike in the sky. I want to add Hedwig, too, but I’m debating between flying and perched in the Whomping Willow.
I considered adding some boats carrying kids across the “lake” and having Audrey 2 eat one, or maybe add a subway car headed towards Hogwarts…

There appears to be an unreleased piece of instrumental music from the 1986 theatrical cut
The part where Audrey 2 buries Seymour in rubble and the somber music plays like all hope is lost, before Seymour electrocutes him. I can't find it separately anywhere.

YOU WANT BLOOD AND HES GOT MORE THAN ENOUGH!!!!!
It's kind of a mix of baby Two-ey and full sized Audrey Two, but I'm super proud of it for an old pear tin, and some clay lol. I just wish I could have found a template for the logo instead of painting by hand.
I hope y'all like him!!!!

Little shop of horrors standee
After eyeing it for a while I finally gave in and bought the standee. Building it was super stressful as it was new in box and the old cardboard (from the 80s) did NOT want to be bent. I tried to find an image of a built one online as a reference and apparently those images don’t exist so I guess to all you who have the pieces and want to build it up, this is what it’s supposed to look like (probably).

I think I understand more now why test audiences rejected the original ending to Little Shop Of Horrors(1986)
I think a big reason was a change to Seymour's characterization even before the reshoots. In the play, Seymour continues to justify killing and feeding people to the plant. In the movie however, he feels so guilty about what's happened that he can't even enjoy his own success, and decides to stop feeding people to the plant. I think this change was a weird writing choice on Frank Oz and Howard Ashman's part, and may have partly contributed to the test audiences rejecting the original ending where he and Audrey die. The other reason of course, being that Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene were just too good in their roles.

My short is out now
Hey filmmakers. My short Dig Deeper is out now on Omeleto. It’s a dark comedy about a grave digger starring Victor Williams (The King of Queens, Justified: City Primeval, The Affair) and Tony Award nominee Lee Wilkof (School of Rock, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead).
The screenplay was previously the 1st Place Short winner in the Slamdance Film Festival Screenwriting Competition, which is really how it got any momentum in the first place and was eventually made.
Dig Deeper was featured as part of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Showcase for Excellence in Filmmaking 2025. The film won the Jury Award Winner for Best Short Narrative at Newport Beach Film Festival, and was an audience award nominee at SOHO International Film Festival.
It’s been a long labour of love and its creation and success is due to a bunch of support, luck, and talented collaborators, and I’m psyched it’s finally available to the public. Feel free to ask me anything about the making of the film.
