IS IT A REAL ANGELIC PRETTY OR A REPLICA ?

hello ! i have recently bought this angelic pretty little bear cafe from vinted, from a really nice seller. i must say that the seller was really honest about the labels missing, but was sure that this dress belonged to angelic pretty. when i received it, i noticed a lot of details were off: it doesnt present the polka dots print inside, and it has only a light underlayer. the quality looks really good for being a replica, it's not lucid and the print looks fine. can you help me please ? is it fake ? i didn't pay a lot for it, but the dress is dirty and i dont really want to wear replicas ... thank you for the help 🩷🫶

Looking for Sweet piano Lolita project Partner

Hi everyone! 🌸🐑🎀

I'm currently working on a passion project: designing a Sanrio-inspired Lolita dress.

The idea originally started because I always wanted a Sweet Piano-inspired Lolita dress to wear. I began creating my own fabric and pattern designs featuring Sweet Piano, and a fashion design student/cosplayer even reached out because she was interested in collaborating.

Unfortunately, I haven't heard back since then, so I'm putting this out here in the hope of finding someone else who might be interested in bringing this project to life together!

I'm a communication design student, so my focus is on concept development, illustration, pattern design, and branding. I'm looking for someone with an interest in fashion design, sewing, or garment construction who would enjoy collaborating on a creative portfolio project.

The goal would be to explore cost-effective ways to source materials (because we're broke students 😅), develop the design together, create custom-printed fabric if needed, and ultimately make a beautiful Sweet Piano-inspired Lolita dress that we could both include in our portfolios.

If everything comes together, it would also be amazing to document the entire process and perhaps even send the finished project and process presentation to Sanrio as a student passion project and tribute.

If this sounds like something you'd enjoy—or if you know someone who might be interested—I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks for reading! 🌸

Lolita politics

I love feminine fashion; I always wear skirts, heels, dresses, and wigs. I used to wear gyaru, but when I started talking to the community, I noticed a lot of them were feminists. I am LGBTQ+, so I don't get along with them.

I don't want this to happen again. I threw away all my clothes because I don't want to be associated with them.

Does Lolita fashion have any political ties? Especially anything related to racism or anti-LGBTQ+ views?

Im okay with modesty and dressing for myself (i love it)

Hello!

Hi everybody! This may seem like an insane stretch but I am on the hunt for a very specific type of dress. It seems to be sold out everywhere and I am now unable to get the long version of it. Do you guys know of any very similar ones?? I wanted to use it for a very special event coming up but now I am devastated I can't seem to find even similar ones. Thank you so much for any help. Please I am so desperate.

Handmade dress

Another handmade egl creation! This dress was made from deadstock brand new Sears bedsheets. I styled it for a country sweet look. Top is thrifted. Shoes are from Camper.

Coord with a skirt and bow I made

I saw this fabric in a pile of donated scraps during a sewing course I took two years ago, and thought it’d make the cutest egl skirt! I just recently found a bit of the extra fabric, so I was able to make a matching bow! It also looks cute around the neck, but I don’t want my head to be bare. Best part about the skirt, though, is that it has really deep pockets!
I also thought the bag was perfectly on theme!
I still have more of the fabric, so who knows, I might make a matching vest. Depends if I ever feel like it.
I’m thinking of wearing this coord during an upcoming trip, and I hope I have room in my luggage for a petticoat

Edit: just in case anyone was wondering, the bag and blouse are both from Modern Millie in Salem, MA. They’re not a lolita store (more of their stuff leans a little more towards the vintage 1950s aesthetic) but they have blouses, cardigans, bags, accessories, etc. that match the quality, cut, and style of lolita, so if you’re in that area or in shipping distance, I’d recommend checking it out.

Out of the loop: Selling platforms

hi, I am a bit out of the loop with the community as I was last involved with this fashion ~10 years ago. I have about 15 dresses from AP + BTSSB in storage plus accessories, haven’t been having much luck with eBay (in Sold history it looks like a dress sells there once a month?).

Do people just list on depop these days? and where do you go for genuine (not self interested) value estimates? I used to be on cgl at the time which i got good buy/sell estimates from but I’m a bit against the website its hosted on as a whole.

Can you help me take a look at whether this bag goes well with this outfit?

Finally finished my DIY ita bag. Could you help take a look at whether this bag goes well with this Lolita outfit? Do you think it’ll look stunning?

Please help me style this!

This is my most satisfying creation. I always bring it with me to every anime convention, but I still haven’t found a Lolita outfit that pairs perfectly with it. Can anyone help me recommend a matching outfit?

Help me! Dad wants me to pack my dresses

Im kind of panicking a little bit, but I have until this afternoon to get this done since I have work later. I am moving out late summer to college, and I have a ton of my lolita dresses in the closet along with my cute winter coats.

He told me to pick some to keep, get rid of, or to store in the attic. I wont have a lot of space in college and I already have a shit ton of clothes(12 drawers full that barely fit them all) and Im scared I wont have any room to fit lolita. And I also have my big winter coats I gotta bring

Thing is I would like to maybe put a couple into storage like my prom lolita dresses, and I dont wear lolita often(sorry im not full time lolita), but Im so scared of not having access to all of my dresses readily available in my closet. So im kind of freaking out because I love to dress like that on random and nice occasions or going out with friends but now I feel like putting them at home(my college is 2 hrs away) will limit me a ton

Ik its a dumb problem but I spent hundreds on these dresses and I adore them so much but I dont think I can fit them all in college plus my insane amount of clothes. Im just sad. Anyone know what I can try doing?

edit: I have 10 dresses and 4 petticoats(one full length petti)
