Heaven, Thursdays

On Thursday night heaven hosts an event called porn idol, there is this one man that films it every Thursday he zooms in on the people performing. This man is known to security and they can't do anything to him under their guidelines
. Has anyone got any suggestions on what we can do against this PERVERT!!

advice, dating etc

(m21) so me and my ex broke up almost a year ago. he’s moved on and is moving in with his new partner already. I still miss him a lot and I was wondering if anyone has advice on how to move on. I think what makes it hardest is my reluctancy for the apps but being single is making me sad, especially seeing my ex’s new partner posting about their relationship. edit - we were together for 4.5 years for context

Looking for someone to help grow a queer community app

Hey! I'm looking for someone based in London to lead the growth and community of WhereQueersGo, a not for profit website (and soon app) I'm building for queer people to find spaces and events in their city. The app is in early stages and you’d be a part of shaping the features built too too :)

When I first moved to London I felt completely disconnected, with everything scattered across socials or hidden by algorithms. I work in software engineering so know the harsh reality is that unless an app or website is built by queer people, it will never have our needs as a priority.

WhereQueersGo is not-for-profit because I don't believe in exploiting queer people when we’re already being suppressed by big tech with biased algorithms, and anyone who joins the team must be be aligned with that mission.

If you're queer, care about what we're building and want to help create something that actually serves our community I'd love to hear from you! You can dm me or email hello@wherequeersgo.com :)

LGBTQ book club

Hiya. I’m looking to find a local community in Walthamstow and wondered if anyone had started, or would be interested in joining, a monthly queer book club. Would love to join one, but happy to try to get one going if folks are keen.
I’ve made an email for anyone interested. Drop me a message and I’ll get things moving. e17queerbooks@proton.me

WTNB or highly mixed non-team sports reqs?

Heya. Moving from NYC to London in Sept for grad school. NYC's queer social sporting scene is really amazing. I'm part of some amazing social bike clubs and run groups, all of which are free and one is even the only NB focused space I'm aware of. It's where I've made the majority of my social circle and something I want to continue in London.

I've been looking around for good replacements. I've checked outforsport.com and haven't seen much. I've been to Queer Running Club but the price is a turnoff as a long time runner. I want to try Les Run. But I'm not finding much past that. Things look like they're heavily gay men focused. And social rides don't seem to exist in London at all sadly.

Anybody have any groups or spaces they'd recommend? I'm down for most non-team sports cause I'm super noncompetitive.

Has anyone had nice experiences at Ma1: The Bunker?

Hi everyone, went yesterday to Ma1: The Bunker.

I don't know if it was a wrong night, but found it extremely disappointing. Not only there were few people, but I also found the descriptions in their website and on Google a little misleading.

For future reference, imo it's not as maze-ish as it seems in most descriptions, it's just a small bar + small tv area, two small play rooms and a few cubicles. I expected something like the dark room at Electrowerkz, so imagine my disappointment.

Have you ever tried it? Did you like it?

TIA and cheers!

Gay sauna

Hi (23M)

I have a medicine conference in London in two weeks.

I tried sauna once when i was 19, i dont really liked it but i want to try again.

As it's a big city, i think there will be a lot of choice.

Any suggestions for a good spot ?

Would you move to London or visit?

Hi all,

I have a rather unusual question / need for advice from people on here. I am a 29-year old gay dude who lives in the UK, two hours away from London.

I've always wanted to live there but could never afford it (it is sadly the biggest regret of my life). I am now extremely torn about how to go about it.

I simply feel too old. I feel like the window to move there is gone. I now have money and time but if I fully move to London I would have to change my job. In order to do the same job, I would have to wait 3 years.

The problem is that my current job is actually objectively very good on paper. I earn around £82k a year, have a lot of time off, heavily discounted/free rail travel, and a rota that gives me frequent 2–4 day blocks off. I also get around 35 days off/leave a year, including ad hoc leave that I can place strategically. Every 6-8 weeks I get 7-9 days off ina row etc.

After really analysing my rota, I realised that if I optimise my leave and spend almost all my days off in London, I could probably spend something like 50–60% of my year there anyway. Possibly even more. It would be pure days off only.

So now I’m stuck in this weird middle ground where:

- I could technically build a very London-centred life while still keeping my current career,

- but psychologically I’m worried I’ll never truly feel like I “belong” there because I wouldn’t officially live there full-time.

The stupid thing is that every time I come back from London to home it feels unbearably dull and isolating by comparison. My friends, dating life, interests, and energy all feel far more connected to London. Yet at the same time, I know a lot of people fully living in London are exhausted, broke, overworked, and don’t necessarily even enjoy the city properly because they’re constantly grinding.

Part of me wonders if my current setup might actually give me a better overall quality of life:

- high salary,

- lots of time off,

- freedom to travel,

- ability to spend huge chunks of time in London,

- while avoiding some of the financial stress and burnout of living there permanently.

But emotionally, I still have this fear that if I don’t fully move there now, I’ll regret it forever and feel like I missed my chance at properly living my youth there.

I think what I’m really asking is:

- is spending half your life in London enough to genuinely feel part of it socially?

- or does not fully living there create a weird emotional disconnect?

- and am I romanticising “living in London full-time” more than the reality deserves?

I’m so desperate I’ve been considering changing jobs so Met Police Officer. All just to live in London.

I think I need someone to give me a reality check.

Hotel recomm in London, accept visitors

Hey, very inexperienced gay guy here. Visiting London soon and prefer to meet at my hotel for 1-1. I am always super nervous that the hotel reception/security won‘t allow a visitor to come in for you know what ;) Any hotel recommendations where they are relaxed or not checked at all? Also in a good area to stay

Gay bars with pool tables in London?

I was just visiting New York and they have a super fun pool league type thing where you put your name down on a sheet and wait your turn to play (against whoever’s there, not just your mates), and the winner stays on. It was super social and friendly with lots of regulars and solo attendees from all walks of life, and there was more than one gay bar where you could also do this.

It just seemed like a great way to meet people in a non threatening, app-free and cringy organised fun-free way. Is there a gay bar with a pool table in London and anything close to these vibes?

Tourists’ experience in Heaven (London)?

I’m solo traveling to London soon and want to go to Heaven while I’m there. I’ve read mixed reviews about their bouncers and how they treat “non-regulars” & tourists and wanted to gauge other Americans’ experiences getting in there & if they care that your ID is an American one. For context I’m 20, white, and twinky (lol) and would be going in by myself. Any insight is appreciated!
