26F looking for more LGBTQ+ friends 🏳️‍🌈

Hey! I’m 26F and living in London. I’d love to meet some more people in the LGBTQ+ community and hopefully make some genuine platonic friendships.
I’m pretty easy-going and would be up for grabbing coffee, going for walks, drinks/nights out, playing basketball (very casually lol), exploring London, trying new places or just hanging out.
I feel like making new friends in your 20s can be weirdly difficult, so thought I’d give Reddit a try 😭
Ideally looking for people around my age who are also in/around London. If you’re looking to expand your circle too, feel free to message me! 🫶

Welcome to the community! 🌈⚽ Let’s kick off the season together

Hey everyone, and welcome!

This is a friendly space for LGBT+ Fantasy Premier League managers (and allies) to chat about all things FPL — transfers, captain picks, differential shouts, deadline-day panic, and everything in between.

We’ve also got our own mini-league running if you’d like to join in:

League code: 396kxb

Feel free to introduce yourself, share your team name, drop your early-season thoughts, or just lurk and enjoy the banter. All are welcome as long as we keep things respectful and positive.

Looking forward to a fun season with you all. Let’s go! 💜

Queer friendly jobs?

Probably a long shot but has anyone got any advice or leads on finding jobs at companies which have good queer communities? I'm a 25 yo IT professional with a BSc in computer science desperate to get out of my office job where all my coworkers are straight/cis/neurotypical.

Any advice appreciated & DMs open if anyone relates and wants to talk 🫂

Looking for a book club 📚 🌈 ✨

Hiya!!

I’m looking to join a book club in east London (or potentially start one if there is enough interest!)

I’d love something relaxed & chill, honestly an excuse to read and be social! I’ve recently moved to London, so I’d love to meet new people. I’m a lesbian, so I’d definitely love to include some queer books/authors into the mix, but I’m not specifically looking for a queer book club (or maybe) id actually love a mixture of genres and perspectives! Like thrillers, romance, weird little books, ect 😅

I’d love to joining an existing group, but if anyone else is in the same boat and wants to start something, I’d be happy to organize it!

Let me know 💕

Trans man sauna questions

I'm a 24 year old trans man in London, recently looking into trying out a couple of gay saunas. I'm pretty small but toned, post top surgery and a decent amount of face scruff, plus more chest/body hair than a lot of cis dudes, and pretty much pass as a raver twink type dude.

I'm a little nervous about how I'll be recieved in general, I'm not the most experienced guy as I've recently moved from a small rural town. I'm thinking of checking out Steamworks and Pleasuredrome, and am aware they are labelled as trans inclusive spaces.

I am absolutely not looking to make anyone uncomfortable and just want to have consensual fun with dudes who might be into me, what would you recommend for a first timer?

(I know how to take polite rejection and move on, as well as when someone isn't interested, so this shouldn't be an issue)

Thanks!

Caught feelings for my best friend after we decided not to date

I met a guy on Grindr and we started dating for a bit. It was going really well. The sex was great, we had a really good time together and just clicked.

But after a while we both realised we probably wouldn’t be the healthiest couple. I’m much more into peace and quiet, chilled evenings, etc. He’s more into gay parties, the big gay clubs with darkrooms, thirst traps on IG and all of that. We’re just pretty different when it comes to that side of life.
So we stopped dating, but somehow ended up becoming really close friends. Honestly, I’d probably call him my best friend now.

We both live in London but we’re originally from different countries, and I think that also made us connect a lot. We spend loads of time together and have got really close.
And now I’ve started catching feelings again.

I have no idea what to do with it. If I tell him, there’s a chance I mess up one of the best friendships I have. But keeping it to myself also feels a bit shit when we’re spending so much time together.

And obviously, all the reasons we decided not to date are still there.

I’m not really looking for the usual “just communicate” advice. I’d rather hear from people who’ve actually been in a similar situation.

Did you say something? Did it ruin the friendship? Did you end up together? Or were you glad you kept quiet?
What would you do?

Lesbian bar/ club recommendations?

I’m straight but a good friend of mine is visiting from Switzerland next weekend and really wants to go to a lesbian bar or club. I was wondering where might be a good vibe for a Friday night? For context I live in West London (Queens Park/ Kensal Rise area) but would be down to travel to central or East for a good vibe. I’ve also heard concern from some people about straights taking up space in LGBTQ+ spaces so would appreciate advice on where we could all be welcome and have a great night! 💃

Realistically, how big is the monkey pox risk at the moment in one of London's sex clubs?

What the title says. Is it still an ongoing issue, or do we have herd immunity thanks to vaccines by now?

[Hiring] Freelance social media manager for a queer spaces and events platform

Want to help more people find queer spaces?

Where Queers Go was built so queer people can find spaces where they feel safe, and events where connection doesn't have to mean a night out or a dating app.

With the app launching soon, I'm looking for someone to run our socials and marketing, so people can find these spaces without relying on algorithms that keep suppressing LGBTQ+ content.

Paid · freelance · remote, based in London or New York

Apply at wherequeersgo.com/jobs or send me a dm for any questions :)

Gay bar recommendations

I'm fairly new to exploring London's LGBTQ+ scene and I'm looking for recommendations for the best gay bars.

I'm ideally looking for places that have:

- A fun, vibrant atmosphere

- Friendly, social people (easy to chat and meet others)

- A good mix of ages

- A pool table would be a big bonus!

I recently went to a gay bar on my own for the first time, and although I didn't end up talking to anyone apart from the bartender, I'm trying to build my confidence and would love to find places with a welcoming vibe for solo visitors.

What would you recommend, and are there any nights that are particularly good?
