Do you think now that Ultrasound is done we’ll be getting a deluxe or extended version of Virgin? I remember she’s said before there were lots of yummy b sides and we could also tell there was a track at the end of the album before david that didn’t make the final cut?

Her sound and voice makes me think Billie Eiliish is Lorde’s “daughter” just like Gracie Abrams is Taylor swift daughter, Addison is Britney daughter, etc. what do yall think.

It’s such a unique album. I genuinely can’t find anything like it and no one gets it. The ambience. The atmosphere. Feels so reflective like summer. But no one gets it like I do 😒

During Oceanic feeling night 2 in LA when she sings “little brother, I think you’re an angel,” Lorde looked over at her brother who was the cameraman and he smiled and it was really cute. Does anyone have a video of it? People on the left side of the pit probably got a great view of it.

Have anyone here read After the Ecstasy, the Laundry? It’s a spiritual/self-help book that Lorde mentioned and teased a lot before Virgin came out.

I bought it after watching the Ultrasound last year, and now that I’m almost finished with it, I can’t stop seeing connections between the book and Virgin. It makes me love the album even more.

One of the main ideas in the book is about what happens after transcendence or emotional highs, embodiment, identity, desire, emotional fragmentation, and learning how to live after intense states pass, like trying to make sense of themselves afterward.

That feels very Virgin to me.

Songs like Clearblue, Man of the Year, Current Affairs, and GWRM all feel connected to that idea of temporary emotional states, comedowns, self-reinvention, letting go, and trying to live with what remains after the high passes.

I also feel like some songs from Solar Power especially California and The Path resonate with the same themes.

Curious if anyone else who’s read the book noticed this too, or if I’m reaching lol

Might be a long shot but does anyone have a video of Lorde exiting stage b after preforming Ribs? She grabbed my hand and I’d love to see a video of it.

So I've heard that starting with Governor's Ball she will have a new show than the one she's been doing for the past year or so. Since on Ultrasound tour she just did two songs from Solar Power, I was wondering if anybody thinks with this new set list she'll perform more songs from it? Solar Power (the song) is perfect for music festivals and I would also love Stoned at the Nail Salon or The Path. Mood Ring is also one of my favorites but I don't see her playing that live for a crowd who probably doesn't all know that it's satire.
