did she go to Taylor's wedding?
just curious. i feel it would become a case study for her
So hear me out! Damon Albarn should make a Noodle “solo album”
I’ve been a huge fan of Gorillaz since I was a little
Kid and the song Dare got me Into Girlypop music. I would love a concept album in which Noodle embarks in a solo career. Damon could collaborate with all female artist. Lorde, Grimes, Poppy, Rina Sawayama, Melanie Martinez. These would be my picks to collab with.
Sad day Sellimg my Lorde Vinyl Cover Signed

Names of her dancers?
I saw Lorde perform last month and couldn’t hear her say the names of her two dancers. Really liked their performance and was looking to follow their socials.
Me And "Yellow Flicker Beat" are twins
I was this day and age old when I found out that Yellow Flicker Beat released 9 days after I got released (A.K.A got born)
The 9 days part is irrelevant, we are twins and don't dare say otherwise
Idk if this is considered "Delulu", "Meme", "Discussion" or "Opinion" but all I've got to say is
Thank You Lorde for releasing this song, because damn, it's pretty fire
how to get X-RAYS on spotify
hii seen a few people adding the demos to their spotify and usually i know how to do that but i dont know how if the songs aren’t on soundcloud. could someone give me a tutorial on how to make the mp3 from the untitled app
‘’Purple’’ from Olivia Rodrigo’s new album gives me Shapeshifter vibes
It’s co-produced by Jim E Stack (Lorde’s bf and producer for Virgin) so it has a different vibe to the rest of the album and I love it soooo much and reminded me of Shapeshifter. Funny thing is, it is the worst performing song on the album!? Says a lot about what the masses like and don’t like. To me it’s easily top 3 on the album but many people have it last.
Rainbow Aurora Bottle
My 16 year old Nalgene finally cracked at the threads. Here's to the next 16 or more hopefully :)
Lorde Of The Rings 😍😍
Legend has it, she played every single role..
I like the Virgin demos more than the album…
Hammer, broken glass, and iscsmn demos are so beautiful. Cried and dance. I feel like the sadder undertones and softer watery production fit the album a lot better in some places. Also fits the title and story.
I feel like the album leaned to heavily in the flattened techno sound, and that flushed away a lot of the grooviness and depth the album needed to be memorable.
I honestly didn’t love Virgin when it came out, but now I’m realizing it might just be the production choices I didn’t like.
Year of Oxycontin
Off topic (unrelated to the virgin demos) but has anyone else ever wondered if "Born in the year of Oxycontin" from The Path is perhaps a little nod to Infinite Jest? In I.J. the years are denoted in the same way, i.e. "Year of the Whopper" and "Year of Glad." Like Lorde, I was born in 1996, so I've thought about this too much. But I find it notable that Infinite Jest was published in 1996, so all 3 of us were born in the year of oxy.
Anyways I'm just curious if anyone else has thought about this or sees a subtle congruence b/w the two. Or am I being too conspiratorial here? Maybe just a synchronicity; if so, lovely to the core. Ella reads so much, it just strikes me as well within the realm of possibility that she might throw in a reference to the book, esp. given the 1996 connection.
Thoughts?
CHALLENGE: Rebuild Virgin Using Only XRays
I’ve seen a lot of posts saying “I like the demos more than the album,” so I’m opening the floor: if you had to trade out the 11 songs of Virgin with an XRay, which versions would you pick?
Drop your alternate tracklist below!
Virgin x-rays
Is it weird that I'm liking the virgin's demos more than the actual album? I mean, I love virgin, but listening to the demos makes me feel closer to the music
Text notes from the website with some early lyrics. Some of these feel incredibly personal.
Demo v original lyrical interpretations
Hey guys!! I am in love with the demos; for me they are providing a lot of context and deeper meanings for the original albums. I want to know, after listening to the demos, what connections did you all make and did any of your interpretations change?
For me an example would be hearing in Holding a hammer the line "swimming in a sea of messages" connected in Hammer the joke in the line "anyone with a snake tongue/show them the chambers of my... heart" and changed that from a simple sex joke to sending nudes 💀 and i thought that was hilarious. LOL
David and Jack Antonoff
Since the X-ray version/demos of Virgin were released and we could hear the original outro of David, I've been thinking about the song in its entirety so much. I know a lot of people were linking that outro to Jack Antonoff and it made me think of a podcast Lorde was on where she discussed every song on Melodrama (great podcast called Behind the Melodrama by the Spinoff, check it out!).
During the Hard Feelings/Loveless episode, the host asked her how it was working with Jack. She mentions specifically that meeting him felt like coming home, that they were obsessed with each other, that it was almost like an affair. But most strikingly and what made me go searching for this sound bite is she specifically mentions going to the Sunset Tower with him (skip to around 27 seconds).
It was such a silly detail I somehow remembered but god if David (and any other songs on the album) are about Jack and what was between them during the Melodrama era and onwards it breaks my heart for her. She was like 18/19 when they met and now it seems they do not speak. The line "was I just someone to dominate" and "was I just young blood to get on tape" are sad enough as is. I wonder if the "cause you dimed me out when it got hard" maybe refers to how the whole "Jack Antonoff is ruining the pop girlies" was occurring right around Solar Power, and how he maybe bowed out at that point from pressure from the negative reception to the album and his work on it, combined with a bunch of other personal issues I'm sure were intertwined.
Thoughts??
ISO: Lorde Washington Post attack ad (Dec. 31, 2017)
I'm looking to either purchase a copy of the December 31, 2017 edition of the Washington Post, or simply the full-page smear ad against Ella. I'm being serious, as I'd like to add it to my collection of Lorde memorabilia; I'm not interested in starting a debate. Free Palestine and Indigenous people everywhere.
