I hate queues

I understand that queuing and barriers are, for some people, a chance to get some kind of interaction with Lorde, but we have to say it: you guys are weird.
More and more fans are sleeping outside venues, and in doing so you’re disturbing the peace and disrupting the daily lives of local residents. In Pula, you were even getting in tourists’ way and making it difficult for them to sightsee because you were camping out in front of the arena all day!
On top of that, you’re acting like complete assholes. You add your friends to the queue, let them cut in because they wrote down a number before people who actually showed up and waited. In Pula, there were around 100 people in the queue by 10 a.m.!
And at the concert? You don’t even properly enjoy yourselves because you’re exhausted. You faint, you have a problem with people around you dancing and singing. You cause drama because someone who didn’t camp out all day managed to get close to the stage. And I won’t even mention the smell.
This is starting to get increasingly unhealthy and dangerous. You keep feeding into it, showing up earlier and earlier.

5 years of one of the most underrated and most unnecessarily overhated albums of all time. i will not tolerate any slander today. THIS ALBUM DESERVED SO MUCH BETTER

and the fact that after it, other popstars went to the beach and started incorporating nature and water and beach and wellness culture and worshipping the sun etc into their new eras mean lorde was always ahead of time. solar power forever

The evolution of lorde

To be honest with you, I’ve been a big fan of Lorde for a very long time but lately her new music has left me feeling more perplexed than satisfied. Pure Heroine was just THE ALBUM for me. Every single song on that album you can tell was Lorde. It just left me feeling moved and till this day it amazes me that she wrote it when she was merely 16. That goes with her EP, The love club. I sometimes wonder if my affection for her earlier projects are the result of nostalgia. Melodrama is objectively one of the best albums of the 2010s. And despite mixed reviews, I absolutely adore Solar Power. People call it “unseasoned” but I think its greatest strength is its simplicity. I was a bit hesitant during the first listen but after the 3rd or 4th I was utterly entranced by the sound. But Virgin. It loses me completely. As a Lorde fan, I’ve had to ignore it for the past couple of months, only revisiting the past. But now that I have finally sat and listened to the full body of work, I hate to admit that I don’t like it. I have a few favourites, namely Clearblue and David but the rest are “ok”. It is unfair of me to say that I miss Lorde as she is only human and is allowed to grow but man how it sucks.

ribs origin story from my lime green iphone c

From her lips to my 15 year old brain.

I found an old hard drive in a little box where I organized all my digital memories. This is Lorde in Denver at a little venue called the Fillmore.

I was a freshman in high school. This was my first concert, my first time being in a room with so much marijuana smoke, my first time being packed body to body with strangers in a room like this. I shot this on my first cell phone.

Lo Fang opened and played a cover of Boris by Boy. My friend’s dad dropped us off and the four of us were alone for a few hours and I remember the confetti and saving it with my pressed flowers until our house burned down.

And here I am, 12 years later. I’m 27. I live in San Francisco. I’m still close friends with 1 of those girls. Her name is Eloise and we saw Lorde in Berkeley for Ultrasound last October.

And here I am.

I’ve crossed a threshold and am listening to this from the other side. And she's right. Being an adult isn't scary. But it's left me with this acute feeling that this adult world has drained something from under me.

But when I listen to Ribs, or Oceanic Feeling, or when I’m riding my bike at night through the fog in GGP, or when I'm in bed with Eloise, I get it back.

This video is another access point.

Enjoy.

Trying to access All Points East Tickets

(Re-uploading because I forgot to add the screenshot!)

Has anyone who bought their APE tickets through Ticketmaster, been able to get them on the APE APP? I got an email a few days ago saying they could be accessed now, but every time I put my email in, I'm automatically directed to an AXS login. I’m not sure if there’s something that I need to do, or if there’s a problem with the app itself. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm a bit worried because I'm desperate to see Lorde : ((

I’m happy that I been to the lorde concert already

You know, artists often get long term breaks from the tours, finish their careers, start new projects, get into absolutely different era and change their brand a bit…or simply die.
So I’m very delighted that I been to the lorde concert, sure I wish I been there during pure heroine era, to hear tee is court and other amazing sings, but I’m ahoy that she still sings royals, ribs etc and her new albums kinda match old ones (unlike Lana del Rey albums and etc), so I can’t imagine how happy I am that I saw her close in real life and listened to her music live and signed her sooted that she gave to the crowd!
Sure I would absolutely visit her concerts a lot more, i]but I’m absolutely happy that I been to one at least!
