I wanna start doing my own work so where are some places to post for locals to reach out to me if need be for mowing or cleaning trash removal etc so if anyone gots any ideas where I can post and get the right attention from some people and post without breaking guidelines or rules please let me know I’m very happy to help also wanna see what I can do for the community!!!

A 200-ish year old maple tree in our yard fell a few days ago and we’re hoping to find someone who would want to process the tree and use it for woodworking projects. We don’t want any money for it or anything like that, we just want to see the tree live on in any way that it can because it was truly beautiful.

To be clear, we’ve also already contacted someone about coming to cut up and remove it, but someone on the arborists subreddit suggested seeing if anyone local would want some of the wood for woodworking. We’re planning on giving some to a friend of family who has a small home shop and we’ll give some to local woodworkers and then we’ll pay to have the rest hauled off.

Anyone interested needs to be able to cut the wood yourself want from the tree and haul it home yourself.

Hi everyone! I'm (22M) moving to Louisville soon and I am currently looking for full time employment. I'm open to any ideas, just trying to make ~$18/hr if that's possible.I don't have any specific degrees/certifications, so something general or with on the job training would be ideal. I thought it would be more productive to hear from actual people instead of scrolling endless job listings.

Anyone know someone who does this on the side or has their own small company? I'm doing a refinance for some home upgrades and the appraisal mentioned a ceiling spot where I had a leak a few years ago, so they want it inspected with an invoice on company letterhead, signed, dated and indicate if mold remediation was performed or is required. I prefer (trust) individuals or small companies far more than big companies designed to squeeze ever last penny out of me. Thanks

They don’t care about damaging my leather couch, black stone, my grandfathers antique toolbox, washer. They started out and seemed good but got very sloppy on the unloading. I didn’t even have very much to move and only moved 15 minutes away. I sold my home and had the luxury of taking my time moving stuff so I only had a handful of bigger items for them to move and I moved all the boxes and smaller items. The cost ended up about 200 more than expected and they didn’t cover the cost of tearing the leather couch. They wanted to give me $100 total. They can keep their $100 and I’ll continue to let everyone know not to use them.

33M Wife and Son are out of town for the week on a vacation. Looking for some fun things to do as we just moved to louisville and I am bored out of my mind. Any ideas?
